And they mulched our gardens for us, recommending we do the "professional standard" depth of mulch. We are SO GLAD we used them for both services -- expertly completed, and that mulch SIGNIFICANTLY reduced the # of weeds we suffered this year. Not to mention protecting the health of the plants by helping retain moisture, though this summer was soooooo dry. Based on how highly we thought of those services, we hired them to remove a large swath of lawn, establish four gardens, and plant clover paths between. The new acting owner, Scott, charged me $540 for a spring clean up…read more The clean-up included leaves from this past fall, and I expected to pay more than what I had been charged by the previous owner last spring, but not 3 and a half times as much. (I provided the owner with a copy of last year's invoice for $160.00, which he already had a record of.) My lot is 4,791 square feet. In a follow-up conversation, the owner, Scott claimed the charge was justified by labor used and time spent. I was home when the job was completed, when one of the crew assured me of how quickly the job would be completed. It took no more labor and time than the work completed last spring. I had previously inquired about a price. Scott didn't respond. I knew he was busy and wanted the work done. He knew it and took advantage of me. Below is a copy of my paid invoice and of the leaves blown to the front of my yard before removal. It's a big pile, but does not justify a $540.

As per the owners response to my review posted below: Simply inaccurate. Not suggesting he is…read moredishonest, but maybe his record keeping is as bad as his customer service. He said I called "a few times" - I called 10 times. Once to schedule. Twice to confirm after some weirdness. And the seven dates listed below spread out over a month. Their recording did say they weren't taking on new business. Since I had scheduled it previously, and verified, I should not have been included in the "new business." My messages all said something along the lines of, "I heard your message. We've been scheduled for some time, please have someone call me back to confirm my house will still get done, yaddah yaddah yaddah..." It was have taken him 90 seconds to return one of my many messages - way less time than it took him to pen his response to me below. -- The first time we used them they were fine. The second time, they screwed me over real bad. I called two weeks before Thanksgiving and scheduled two service visits to have our gutters cleaned - one to happen immediately, and other to happen the week after Thanksgiving. I explained why (they were full, a storm was coming, and we needed them cleaned immediately or it causes flooding in our house, the next visit would be at the end of the season after our trees were done with the cycle). I got a voicemail the day after our first visit was scheduled - the worker came to our home but decided not to do the job, because he saw a for sale sign out in front of it, and said we should wait until our house sells so they were clear for the inspection (1. Not his decision to make, 2. We had scheduled two services, so this was already addressed). I got a hold of him, asked him to come back, told him we had two services scheduled, and CONFIRMED that we had two services scheduled. They never showed up for the second service after Thanksgiving. I left messages on 12/1, 12/11, 12/13. 12/15, 12/19, 12/21, and 12/26. I asked to please have someone call me back, so I would know if they screwed up their end again (worded much nicer at the time), or if they were just running behind due to weather. They still have not found me human enough to return my call. Now my gutters are full, covered with ice and snow, and I'm trying to sell my house. There are lots of gutter people out there. Go find another one who might show you an iota of respect and might succumb to showing some appreciation for their customer's time, money, and homes.
