For the last 3 months i have had to call everyday to get my paper. And yet, I have not received one for the last 3 days. I'm always told they will contact the delivery manager, but still nothing happens. I talked with my neighbors, and apparently this is a community problem. I don't understand. What are they doing with the newspapers that are intended for us? Are they just being left in a pile somewhere? I understand that sometimes there are a shortage of drivers, but after 3 months, it's time to put another route on the non-delivery list. read more

Worst subscription experience I've ever had. Signed up for 7 days a week delivery. I received maybe 1 or 2 papers a week. When I call to request delivery the rep says it will be escalated whatever that means. No replacement paper ever comes. I may not get another paper for days if at all. After 4 months or so I cancelled. Rep says she can't promise a refund of over $60 unused subscription. A supervisor finally took my call after about 30 minute wait. Said refund will be requested by check. That's been 2 months ago. Nothing. Worst experience with the press ever. Looks like I should have read the reviews before I ordered... for the 2nd time. First time we ordered from a booth at the fair.. get free hat for signup for paper... had to call each Sunday to get delivery, if paper arrived it was Sunday afternoon. Though I would try again... gift for my husband for Father's Day. Called, put in order, paid in full... surprise.. NOT... no paper on Sunday.2phone calls, 2 promise of delivery, still no paper. When I called to cancel, they could have cared less. With newspapers being such a dying art, one would think they would do anything for customers... apparently their customer service is a " dead art" . If you have a Press Enterprise newspaper, be careful when you go to cancel. My subscription expired on 10/5. I didn't call until 10/7. I did not get the name of the person who helped me. He told me that I would not owe any money. I was surprised to receive a "past due" bill 2 weeks later for $10.31. They canceled my paper on 10/9. They said this bill was for 4 days and a $4.95 processing fee. The PE is not to be trusted. The way they do business has changed. read more

I wish I could give them zero stars. I unknowingly signed up for a daily paper about 2 months ago(cash donation to a non profit). So to stop the papers I called customer service. The papers never stopped. When I went on vacation I tried to have the papers stopped a few more times doing everything I could. They have an option for a vacation hold but that doesn't do anything. I mso lucky no one tried to break in because I had 6 papers piling up at my door. They told me that they basically have to send the delivery people a note so they know to stop. 4 different customer service people sent notes and I still get papers. I called for the SIXTH time today in hopes of getting my paper stopped and I highly doubt they will. I'm looking into taking then to small claims court now. If I could this star would be a -10. This is the worst home delivery service ever!!! I have had Sunday home delivery for 2 months now. And every Sunday I need to call about not receiving my newspaper. Now mind you when they do a redelivery you do not get the whole paper. You only get the articles, you do not receive any advertisements or any of the sales. This is been going on for two months where I have to call every single Sunday and asked for my papers. There has been no resolution to the situation and their excuse for not delivering my Sunday paper is that they need to hire drivers. Had to confirm 3 times that I would have a zero balance when cancelling and they stated yes. 3 weeks after cancelling I received a bill for $7.90 for a "grace period." Two weeks ago I started a subscription for my dad for his birthday. The cost of this was $109.57. This is for a 6 month subscription. In the two weeks he has received one paper and that was because I called that day and they sent out a late paper. Otherwise the subscription has not come on its own from a carrier. I started calling 6 days ago because they told me to give it a little time to get started. I have called every day for the past 6 days and the paper still is not coming. Today I called and told them I wanted to cancel my subscription and get a refund. They said they do not give refunds on unused portions of a subscription. They told me I needed to give it more time. I think 2 weeks is plenty of time. So now I am talk to a supervisor and she says there's no one else I can talk to about this. Well I will be talking to the Better Business Bureau and I am leaving this review on Yelp. I caution anybody who is thinking of getting a subscription to the newspaper to think twice. read more

I've been a subscriber for many years. Like the feel of holding the paper vs. a digital copy. Unfortunately the price for home delivery has gotten too expensive. $40.00 a month. Almost $500 a year. Since this paper was bought up by liberals it's become a liberal rag that I can barely stomach opening. My neighbor is nice enough to give me his copy so that I can have something for my dogs to crap on, but that's about all it's good for now. My wife and I recently had a "Vacation Stop" placed on our home delivery paper. It was supposed to resume on 3/13. Needless to say, the paper never arrived. Our carrier had previously given us his private number so I called it and his wife told me she would let him know we hadn't gotten our paper. He was still on our park because I could hear his truck on the next block. The paper was never delivered. I called customer service and they told me that the vacation stop request they had said the restart date was 3/14. I told them they were wrong and I had my copy in my hand. they said that it would restart on the 14th. Long story short, after a total of 5 phone calls, the paper was never delivered. Back in December, we had put a vacation stop on the paper for only 5 days. When we got home, there were 4 papers laying in my driveway. Press-Enterprise Customer Service is no existent. read more

I, like everyone else on here, would like to give 0 stars!!! I only get the Sunday paper every week. I can't even get that delivered to me. I have been calling in every week to get my paper same day, and it never happens. I'm constantly being told that they will correct the problem, but that never happens. I'm not a "Give Up" kinda person, but I "GIVE UP"!! It would be easier to just go buy the paper myself and completely get rid of the delivery service. Press Enterprise has been the most difficult to deal with. We wanted to stop the paper permanently. Instead of practicing appropriate customer service processes they have taught all of their employees to be salesmen. They continue to deliver the paper even though the subscription has ended. I called them and the rep says you are going to owe $3.70 for the papers we delivered. He said that he can offer a free month off of the subscription. I asked him why do they continue to deliver when the subscription is over. I said I don't know anyone that does that. He goes away for a while, and they make you wait a while, He comes back and says it will be $4.95 cancellation fee. I was totally surprised. He went to find a supervisor and was gone a long... time. We had to go so we hung up. Next day we had another paper. I called them again. We talked to another person. I told them I thought we had this stopped yesterday. She forward us to a supervisor. Okay she says I will cancel your subscription. It stopped. Then we get a bill in the mail. We had this issue with them a year ago. The cost of the paper is so high yet there is nothing in it. They don't even deserve 1 star. This company has the WORST delivery system. I subscribe to the Sunday only paper and I have to call EVERY Sunday due to non-delivery. The paper is then promised within 70 minutes, but after 90 minutes of waiting I have to call to complain again. I got this 2 year deal through Groupon for only $10. Thought this was a great bargain at the time. It's less trouble going to Vons down the road and buying it. Delivery service is a joke. Sunday paper was soaked from the rain and the bag was 3' from it. We called the phone number listed to complain and reached the "Washington Convention and Sports Authority" who couldn't help with my complaint. We got an "800" number on the Internet and when we called it, it had been changed to a "951" number. Upon calling that number we reached an automated phone system that said press 1, if we didn't get our paper, press 2, if it was wet, press 1 again if it was in a bag, press 2 if it wasn't in a bag. Ridiculous! I think it would be easier if they just delivered the newspaper in a plastic bag that would stay closed when thrown from a moving car (perhaps by tying a knot on the end) especially when rain is expected! I guess they would rather spend the time delivering another paper to us because they can't get it right the first time. read more

I signed up for the newspaper in late 2014. They gave me a special rate and told me that I would be informed when the rate was increased. Well, the rate increased and I was not informed. When my account was charged a third time I caught it right away and cancelled the paper. For one paper delivered they kept $6.00 out from the amount refunded. I signed up because a kid came to my door selling the Sunday paper for a year for 10.00. A month went by, my check was cashed, and I had yet to receive my paper. Initially they had the wrong street on file. It took 3 calls to get that fixed. At one point they sent a driver to give me the previous Sunday's paper on Wednesday-what's the point. The driver called me because he went to the wrong street. I directed him and when he showed up, he could barely speak English. Not sure how they read the street signs. I've only received 3 Sunday papers from Feb through May of this year. Very very sad service. I've spoken to a Manny, a Manuel, a Jesus and a Jose. They all act as if some action is going to take place but nothing gets done. Lazy asses.
