I like most the shows, but the station spends so much time on ads and promos and bumper music that very little actual programming gets thru. So frustrating that I'm usually tuning somewhere else. read more

Thank God for options such as IPod and other radio stations because then you'd have to put this audiophile into an insane asylum! This isn't LA (at least where I'm at) where you have a variety of radio stations to choose from if you're not into country. Please play more of the older (late 80's-early 2000's) yet more real Rap, Hip-Hop, and R&B in your regular rotation and less of the aforementioned "artists"! Thank you!

I'm not huge on morning talk radio, I'd rather listen to music, but when they play music it is usually a good selection (only slightly repetitive ). KFRG supports local charities and do many events. I've been to many concerts and events where KFRG has been and have gotten free stickers, pictures, frog odds and ends . They also hand out free tickets to events. I've seen them give out free CDs at Montanans night club and I've seen Jimmy hoppa at the Brandin Iron in San Bernardino. This station is located in the Inland Empire but there are other stations affiliated in the high desert area that play the same music . I can't wait to see them at Stage Coach this year !

As I said, you'd hear anything from jazz, reggae, punk, and some music that didn't fit well into any category. Yeah, some of it was crap but I learned about bands like Jawbreaker, Green Day, and Smashing Pumpkins (before they were big). Best of all were the free tickets I won from the station. At one point, I was winning so many tickets they "banned" me from winning tickets for a while - ha! I went to all sorts of crazy shows (mostly ska) across LA and tons of fun back in the day. Easily the best radio station in the area.
