My mother went here for rehab and is now in long term cate there. She likes everybody there and I go often to see her because its so close to me. They never know when im coming and every time ive gone they have been wonderful. She has one nurse Nathalie and she is the best nurse ive ever seen with people with alzheimers. She is so sweet and takes such good care of my mom. I dont k ow what wed do without her. Everybody in administrative roles have worked with me to get her ins straightened out. If you have a loved one find a different location. If the smell doesn't get you to turn around the appalling lack of care will do the trick. Had no choice but to go here for rehab for our mother and we spent the whole time trying to get her out of this "rehab" facility. Fortunately we only had to endure 10 days. A family member stayed here for rehab and it was the worst experience ever. All of the meals were served COLD except when the State was in doing their inspections for 2 weeks. While the State was there during the day, the meals were served from the steam tables and plated one at a time. The State was not there for the evening meal or weekend meals. The food was horrible especially served cold. I addressed this with the administrator multiple times and also with the dietitian, social worker and the nursing staff. Nothing was done about it. The administrator told me they didn't want the meals reheated in the microwave because of patient safety. Serving cold food is not healthy for the elderly. One of the last nights there they served a cold meatball sub and French fries. I took one of the French fries out to the nurse and told them not to burn their fingers touching it. I asked the nurse why they didn't send the food back to the kitchen to be heated and I was told the kitchen would get mad at them. I ordered a grilled cheese one night - it was two pieces of toast with a slice of cold cheese and a slice of tomato. She arrived at rehab with a severe UTI and 5 weeks later was discharged with the same severe UTI. She was home for 12 hours and had to be hospitalized again. It was suggested by Medicare that a complaint be filed with the state of Massachusetts Department of Public Health. That complaint was filed. This facility used to have an excellent reputation but not anymore. Do not send your loved ones here! read more

My mother was at Prescott House for "rehabilitation" after having major surgery in January 2025. She arrived around 2PM. They did her intake interview and checked her all over. That would be the most attention she recieved. She was not taken to the bathroom or changed out of her briefs until the next morning around 10 when PT came. She was mortified to be left in such a state. She had rung the buzzer all night and no one had come in. She wasn't given her medications or even a Tylenol for her pain. We found out that her bell was broken and that her bed was broken so that her feet were not being elevated. Someone from my family was there many hours a day. She was not being moved or brought to the bathroom, they left her in a wheel chair in her room with her very swollen feet again, not elevated. She ended up back at the hospital worse than when she got there! Do not send anyone there that you love and care for. They should be shut down! read more

The care was non existent The quality of care was worse. Multiple times they were asked to feed the patient yet every time I came in there was her tray Not even the top taken off she could not see that's why they were asked multiple times to help her. In 3 months she lost at least 25/30 pounds from not eating. When she would ask for water they would fill the pink pitcher and put a straw in it. How is she suppose to pick that up and under 70 pounds They leave her in a diaper Before she went into this place she went to the bathroom on her own washed her face on her own brushed her teeth in her own. They never got her dressed Never got her up The reason they say she did not want to But every time I was there she wanted to eat get dressed Every time they were asked where is her ensure where is her milk why is the cover still on her tray The answer We are short staffed. Every time. Including hospice We asked can you send someone in to feed her We are short staff maybe once a week they would come in. So anything wrong with this place. Check in your loved ones often. Surprise visits are a must. read more

I worked there through a perdiem app once and never went back since. Staffing is incredibly short, when I would ask other staff a question I felt I was causing them inconvenience. My biggest thing is working with helpful and communicating staff. They basically threw me to the wolves and the care given from the other staff made me disgusted. This is part two of my reviews due to a recent & sudden medical condition. (See my Holy Family Hospital review). Needing further care I found myself spending a week at the Prescott House. Yes the upper floor is a nursing home but the first floor is a rehab (not the Amy Winehouse kind) but the " you need surgery" kind of rehab. Very nice people, nice, large, well decorated rooms. Quiet. Great staff, great nurses, HI JULIE!, clean, well kept, bathrooms a little older. I can't say enough good things about the staff though. Food however is awful. You get little choice, they never got it right & if just wasn't good. Good news is that if you find yourself on a regular diet as I did you can have food brought in. read more

I stayed there recently after hospitalization from a car accident and I was thoroughly pleased with all services at this great rehab place! I can't say enough about how wonderful and compassionate everyone was there and even the food was great! I miss this place as the care and kindness I rec'd is something I don't find at home! If I ever need another rehab/nursing home I will req to stay there and refer anyone I know to there! TY to the staff there for excellent care and service! read more

My grandmother had two stays at the Prescott House after spinal surgery (neck and back) at the New England Baptist. In both instances, she came home in a much stronger and stable physical condition than when she entered the hospital. While I'm realistic that no place is perfect, their rehab team is the best, and she was always raving about the attentiveness of the staff on the floors. When I visited, the facility was very clean, no odors, and staff seemed busy working hard - but made a point to stop and greet me smiling. Now that I've been, I wouldn't recommend sending your loved one anywhere else! read more

Everyone needs to be aware that this is an alarm-free facility. My husband was a patient in the rehab section for less than 12 hours to be strengthen because he is a high fall-risk person. Because the facility has no alarms, my husband got out of bed without being monitored and fell and hit his head on a pointed-corner dresser. This resulted in a broken rib, severe head gash (requiring 10 stitches), minor concussion, and a brain bleed. He underwent 9 brain cat scans to determine when the internal head bleeding stopped. The swelling is the brain will heal itself in time. DO NOT SEND anyone who needs care to this facility - - they are NOT qualified or equipped to handle your loved one !!!!!!! read more

I was a rehab for 2 weeks. I loved the place. It was clean, the room was large, and comfortable. The nurses were excellent, very knowledgeable. they were very polite. The rehab staff was very excellent, knowledgeable. They had me back to walking longer distances and climbing steps a lot better. The food was very good and plenty of it. Everybody there was very polite. I would gladly go there again if needed. read more

Not good for a patient who doesn't have an advocate or family member there to check on things. Staff stole my father's imported sweater and pajamas. People that no longer work there tell stories of aides that treat patients roughly. My dad was one day from discharge and we got a call that he was being sent by ambulance to ER. He never recovered from this unexpected turn and died a little over a week later. Can't help but wonder what happened before night he was sent to ER...don't send your loved on here! read more
