Absolutely stunning and incomparable. Easy to walk around and free other than a donation, this is an exceptional place to visit. I had no idea they were this many types of iris. They are exquisite. All labeled. Some of them have been around for a very long time. It's really unbelievable. Naturally you have to hit it at the right time of year. It is very easy to walk as it is mostly flat. There are benches. Dog buddies are welcome to come as well! Great idea to have a little snack there while you enjoy.

During the month of May, the flowers start blooming. Best of all, the Presby Iris Gardens are in bloom and open in Montclair, New Jersey. These magnificent Irises come in a variety of colors. People of all ages come to see these magnificent irises. I have observed people sketch, paint and photographing the irises. While others leisurely stroll along the pathway admiring these breath taking flowers. During my recent visit, I noticed new benches in the gardens. These benches are a wonderful addition to the gardens. Like to say, thank you to all the volunteers and others who have helped make these gardens spectacular. The suggested donation is eight dollars. Street parking appears to be only available. Definitely put "The Presby Iris Gardens" on your "to do list" for mid May and early June.

I went to this garden because it was close by..wasn't a long drive..I was expecting this garden to be a little bigger but it was small..nice little 10min around the garden..all the flower are nice and fully blossomed..definitely check this place out if you're in the area...

I visited this week! The glorious Iris' are at their peak blooms! If you live near Montclair NJ, you should take a drive today and see them. You park along the fence on Upper Mountain Ave. There is a small gift shop too. Do not touch the flowers. Not for little children!

Beautiful grounds with amazing Irises. There is a little shop that sells bulbs but I'm not sure what hours they are open. It's a short bloom season so GET MOVING PEOPLE!

What a beautiful garden to stop, rest, and relax. There are a variety of iris that date back to 1900. There is plenty of bench seating and areas on the grass for a picnic. But I wouldn't recommend coming here if you are wearing heels as their are no solid pathways.

Not yet peak. Wait a week or two. I have wanted to visit for years. Only 5% of plants in bloom.

The best! I moved to Verona about a year ago and luckily this place is down the street from me…read more Sometimes I walk there just to see what they have for the season. The flowers I've purchased from here seem to last longer and grow larger than other garden centers. The prices are not outrageous like some other garden centers as well. It feels nice to not only support a local business but also get a product that is better from a large-chain box store as well. They also have a pretty large selection of seasonal produce, such as jersey tomatoes in the summer Honestly the best part is that in the fall they have really cute farm animals that you can visit!

Great place to get some local flowers and gardening options. For the fall they have a wonderful…read morepumpkin assortment. Prices are moderate, flower quality is pretty good. Inside they offer different types of flower options as well as veggies and fruits. The green house has locally grown plans and flowers that are nice. It also features a coy pond which is nice. Don't expect to spend more than 30min here. They have a "petting zoo" but usually houses 1 or 2 animals. A baby cow was the featured animal when I visited. Staff is friendly, family owned, don't expect super quick service. They do everything themselves here. Great to take kids or someone who is interested in building their garden. This location has many options. Enjoy your visit! I know I did!

It was 5 degrees outside and I needed a place to chill for an hour while I waited for a friend…read more Lit Cafe was close by and looked really nice so I headed inside. Lit Cafe's name has a double meaning that I appreciated. The obvious meaning aside, the "Lit" also refers to many items for sale on several shelves distributed throughout the cafe. These items range from reusable cups to cocktail infusions to special jam from the MET. This gives it an air of being more than just a cafe but also a place of culture. The interior of the cafe is beautiful. Light wood, beautiful sunlight pouring in from the large windows running along one side and gentle lighting that instantly made me feel comfortable and welcome. I ordered a Dirty Chai and a scone. The staff was super nice and efficient. After my items were ready I headed to sit down and chill. I was really surprised that after about a half hour the staff didn't try to rush me but to be fair, there was plenty of seating that early in the am so I was able to spend about 45 minutes there (to be fair, it took me about a half hour to finish my scone and drink). Also points to the cafe for playing super chill music that created a great vibe and a volume that didn't make my skull rattle. Also, while I did not use it I am pretty sure I saw another customer using a rest room so I think there is one for customers (but you may want to double check for yourself if you visit). I loved my visit to Lit Cafe and look forward to going back during my next visit to Montclair!

Ordered: Vanilla Latte (~$6)…read moreCarrot Cake Slice (~$5) Aya's take: Tucked away on beautiful Church Street, Lit Cafe is a minimalistic cafe with a clean aesthetic and classy interior. There's a few tables and can probably seat 10 people comfortably. They were out of lavender so I opted for the Vanilla Latte. It was creamy (almost fluffy), the espresso was bold and balanced, and the latte was soothing and lightly sweet. I also got the Carrot Cake Slice which was a good try but didn't stand out. Sadly, I was not served in one of their cute cups; mine just had a sticker on it (not sure why since they did have them). Nonetheless, good try and I'd come back if I'm back in Montclair.
