In town for a week for business and got tired of fast food chain food. Found this little "sandwich…read moreshop" a little off the beaten path and I'm glad I did. I was met by the new owner (just purchased it a week ago) and he explained that he only had a temp lunch menu. I asked if the club sandwich was on the temp menu and he indicated it wasn't but he had all the ingredients for it and would happily make it for me. While he was preparing we had a chat about the place and he said he wanted to experiment with the layout of the sandwich. It turned out great. Plenty of meat, right amount of cheese and toppings. The ONLY thing I'd change is the bread appears to be toasted on a buttered grill. I'm a little old school and would have preferred standard toasted bread, but that alone would not stop me from going again. Best of luck to the new owner and if you're in town, the extra 3 minute drive away from the main part of town is well worth it!

I love this place. Truly is a hidden gem. I got the Cuban sandwich and potato salad both times I…read morehave ordered from there. The potato has some dill and bacon in it, simply delicious. The Cuban is on the freshest bread and it tastes like the condiments and pork are truly homemade and the effort shows. My only criticism would be that if you are ordering online it seems like the menu varies even though they have the food available if you call. Second, I dislike that they are closed on weekends. It's the most opportune time to get food from there. So it's delicious when you can get it.

I had high expectations of this restaurant and was disappointed. Service was mideocre, but the…read moreserver was pleasant. When we arrive no one was at the counter. We waited a few minutes then sat ourselves after gettingthe go ahead from a person in back. While waiting for service more people arrived and stood at the counter. They're orders were taken before mine and the person before me. It took about 20 minutes to get the daily special served. 20 minutes to get take out order. I ordered the pasta which I figured would be slightly spicy, because Cajun is in the name, but it was volcano spicy. Since I couldn't eat it,, I decided to order a sandwich from the menu but was told that I would have to go to the husband's restaurant. This meant I would have to leave my companion and my drink to go to another building. A runner to pickup the food would have been great! I was told that everything on the menu was spicy and the gumbo had a little kick to it. Knowing better, I settled for gumbo. It was salty, spicy and the rue was as thick as white gravy on biscuits. The only thing that was edible for me was the toasted French bread and sweet tea. I won't be back to give them a second chance because all their dishes are spicy. Being that spicy is the only option I feel that this is not a good place for seasoned and tasty food. And if you are "Creole" and looking for Creole taste, don't do what I did and base your expectations on "Creole" meals that your used to eating. The decor is beautiful. The restaurant is clean. The staff were slow but polite. Plenty of lighting.
