BEST King cake I've had in probably 10 years! The place was packed and a madhouse and they couldn't pack up the cakes as fast as they were making them. Got the Cinnamon Cream Cheese regular size cake and mini one as well (I couldn't wait to cut into the big one until we got home!) read more

Lilah's Bakery - Mini-Cinnamon cream cheese King Cake - Bakeries Near Me - Shreveport, Louisiana

The king cakes are delicious here! However, I was invited to a party, where everyone wanted a "specialty cake" and I also purchased a cinnamon/ cream cheese cake. I paid $66.00 for both, $3.00 more for the "strawberry and cream" After arriving at the party we were surprised to cut into the strawberry cake to find that it was just a cinnamon king cake. I called Lilahs and left a message since nobody answered. We all ended up eating it. Two cinnamons is better than nothing. The next day I went back in, since I couldn't get anyone on the phone. They said "we will be happy to replace it, give us the cake back"! I told them that we ate it and that it was their mistake and I paid an additional $3.00 for the "specialty cake". All they did was give me 10% off another king cake- less than $3.00. I didn't want a full refund or another for free but, 10% off! I will now find another place to get my king cakes. They definitely aren't worth the $90.00 I paid for in one weekend. It had the strawberry and cream box checked, but on the gold "plate" was written cinnamon. read more

Just have to say, I am making sweet love to this king cake! My first of the season is amazing! Also, I love supporting women owned businesses! I wonder how many I'll buy this year! read more

The cashier today was exceptionally rude. We have purchased seven cakes this Marci grad season. She was dismissive and flat rude as I tried to redeem a small reward. Not sure that I will return to lilacs again. There is no excuse for this kind of treatment. Fortunately for her the owner was out making deliveries. We purchased our cake at 3:10 on 2/5. Treat your customers better. read more

They don't answer the phone. They don't have voice mail. I received their king cake in Houston and I can't find it who sent it because they didn't include a card. Crappy business screw them read more

Pretty decent king cakes, a little on the drier side without a filling but good nonetheless. This year I chose the "indecision" cake. A slice of various king cakes. A great sampler cake. read more

We come to Shreveport to visit my daughter for her birthday every January. And we always grab a 1or 2 kings cakes to take back to DFW!

We were there today about 3pm and the staff were amazing. They were good enough to hold a tiramasu King's cake for a friend to pick up as they only had 2 left. We got a blueberry and cream and it's the best King's cake we've ever had. Can't imagine what happened with the people complaining in another post from around the same time today. Totally different experience, maybe they put their review on the wrong store. read more

First off, kudos to Lilah's Bakery on this new location on Centenary Blvd to better serve its patrons in the community. I love supporting local family-owned businesses like Lilah's because you can almost always expect service to be courteous and friendly, no matter what time of day! Online ordering is available for menu items to be ready in as soon as 15 minutes, which is a plus for those on the go during that busy bee buzzing lunch time crunch. Food fare includes: soups and salads, cold sandwiches, meaty and veggie melts, and a kiddie menu. The food and cake menus are both readily accessible online through their website. King cakes can be pre-ordered online to ensure that you'll have your flavor of choice. With 26 different flavors to choose from, you certainly cannot go wrong coming home with any King cake (well...in some cases, IF the cake even makes it home. This is when total self-control is needed to resist the urge to inhale and devour such deliciousness in one sitting)! The sizes available for ordering are: medium(10-14 servings), large (18-24 servings) and X-large (25-30 servings). Prices vary depending on size and flavor: medium($16.99-23.99), large($26.99-33.99), X-large($44.99-58.99). I would definitely recommend calling ahead or stopping by with special orders to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery of your desired King cake(s) of choice. I also like it that they have mini King cakes so you can have your own personal taste of decadent goodness during Mardi Gras season (without the guilt of having devoured a cake meant for a dozen ppl ^_~ ) ! Happy King cake feasting Yelpers!!! read more

Lilah's Bakery - mini King cake atop a King cake :p - Bakeries Near Me - Shreveport, Louisiana

BUYER BEWARE! We heard that Lilah's had a very good King Cake. We live about 1.5 hrs away so we called to order one before we made the drive. When we arrived, the cashier could not locate our order. She said that wouldn't be a problem since they had others on the shelves. We selected a cinnamon/pecan and confirmed it with the cashier. On the way home we decided to sample a bite of the cake. It was a bavarian cream, not cinnamon/pecan. We returned to the bakery and they confirmed it was not what we had requested. Another employee removed all the boxes labeled cinnamon/pecan from the shelf because they were mislabeled. She said they didn't have any more cinnamon/pecan cakes. We said they should have at least one since that is what we ordered and didn't pick it up. Both employees searched again and couldn't find any record of our order. We were offered a refund and said we would rather have a cake. They offered to bake one for us if we could wait a few hours. Due to the long drive home, we could not wait. We drove 3 hours round trip, they lost our order, cakes on their shelves were mislabeled causing another long trip to the bakery. I posted this on their Facebook page hoping to get a response. It was immediately deleted. No response from the bakery. read more

Our king cake arrived five days late and plenty stale. We emailed the business and no one ever wrote back to make amends.

Whatever you do, don't order a king cake for shipping from here. It came a week late and is really gross and when I called they basically just said to file a claim with FedEx and see what happens. $60 down the drain. Customer service is non existent. I'll order from somewhere else next time. read more

I hated king cake until I had Lilah's! It's incredible, we have bought several this season!

The owners are great. We did a filed trip here and couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more! The king cakes are amazing as well. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I felt the kingcakes had to much icing, but that's just an opinion thing. read more

Lilahs has been a true pleasure in my family's life. We moved to Shreveport about 2 years ago from the New Orleans area where king cake and Mardi Gras are everything. I tried several king cakes from other bakeries in the Shreveport bossier area but nothing matched the wonderful flavors of the amazing bakeries in the south that we were used to. That was until we found our way to lilahs. These king cakes are spectacular. They are absolutely delicious and just as good as the ones we were used to back home. We are So over joyed to have found this gem here in northern Louisiana. I highly recommend lilahs to anyone. Great service, great product and a large selection of wonderful and tasty different flavors. read more
