If that small a difference made the deal fall thru, I certainly would not want him servicing the cart in the future. He probably would nickel and dime you to death if his margins are that small! There is no serial numbers, and no logos anywhere on the club car, and now the owner is claiming I let my kids drive it and I am at fault for such issues because I didn't complain enough about it. Just save your money and go somewhere else where you can get guarantees and not some aftermarket hodgepodge of random stuff that no one will work on or help you with.
