Now here I am in 2026 and after moving back to the area 1.5yrs ago to help a friend who's undergone a major life change; I'm looking for a place of my own. I reached out to them and have two viewings set up. And from what I can tell; nothing's changed. The initial call was friendly and efficient. They could see my history and were kind and professional. I'm going back to them because I NEVER had one issue when doing business with them in the past and it appears I won't this go around.

Rudy and his family not only assisted us in becoming tenants in a beautiful home but checked on us, invited us out to become acclimated to Alabama and we're very down to earth and warm. Throughout my tenancy, I submitted multiple maintenance requests for issues including mold on the walls--an issue that was never properly addressed. One request was even denied outright by a property manager. I was consistently ignored or given vague, non-committal responses with no real action taken. Upon moving out, I was shocked to receive notice that not only was my entire security deposit being withheld, but I was being charged an additional $1,550 for repainting due to "dark spots" on the wall--spots that were clearly mold I had reported numerous times. Despite my repeated attempts to get clear answers, I was met with silence or vague explanations for over a month. I eventually did recover my full deposit, but only after persistent follow-up and pressure. No tenant should have to fight this hard for what is legally theirs. Beware of this company. If you rent from them, document everything, insist on written responses, and stay vigilant--especially when it comes to unresolved maintenance issues. Their lack of accountability and failure to uphold basic standards of habitability raise serious concerns.
