I like that I can purchase my tickets online and reserve my seats. What I don't like is he kiosks near the entrance where you pick up your tickets are almost always out of service. This is an older movie theater. Don't expect D Box seats and theater food service. The seats are not recliners they are your old run of the mill seats. Tickets are same price as they are everywhere else as is all the things at the concession stand. They offer pretzels, ice cream, hot dogs, nachos, churros and popcorn. Can't remember if they offer alcohol. Theatre popcorn is just that...theater popcorn. Bathrooms are pretty clean when we go. It does what it needs to on a hot summer night or a last minute movie with my boys and/or husband. I've never had issues with rude workers. We've lived here about 9 years and been to the movies probably 10 times so I feel I can attest to the customer service. read more

The smell in room 3 was just bad. It smelt like super dirty air and dust like crazy. I feel sick after staying in there. I couldn't even finish my movie cause that's how bad it was. Needs a deep scrub super deep cleaning. Probably has to do with the interior too get ride of it read more

Came recently to watch Top Gun with hubby. Appreciated it being cool and the popcorn being warm. It is a small theater but I have grown to like the small town theater. Been here a few times already and never got around to writing a review. Finally got the chance to. This theater is literally a minute away from my house. Which explains why I've been here 3 times in less than a month! I like that this theater is not part of a big chain like Century or AMC. The prices are not bad for tickets and food. Although they do need an upgrade on food and drinks. The theater itself is pretty small. Seats don't recline but they're not uncomfortable. I didn't see any trash on the floor or seats. Overall this theater is not bad. I'll keep coming back here since it's the only theater in Los Banos! read more

Went to watch Batman V Superman tonight. Great movie, but would have been better if there weren't several groups of unattended children talking the whole time. I don't know what this theaters policy is on letting children without a parent, who were clearly under the age of 13, into a PG-13 movie, but as far as I can see it's nonexistent. This isn't the first time I've seen something like this at this theater... Last time this exact scenario played out, I went to grab an usher. The usher told me they couldn't remove the unattended children from the movie. I then spoke with the manager, who told me the same. The best they could do is give me a gift card worth the price of the ticket I'd purchased to remedy this. I should have known then to never come back, but I figured I'd give them another chance. Never again. Bad management and bad parenting have ruined this venue. read more

My family just moved to Los Banos and I was excited they actually had a theater, it was clean and parking is nice, prices are cheap compared to San Jose prices BUT the staff is RUDE!! and inconsistent! The marquee clearly states a Student Discount...when I heard the guy in front of me ask for the Student discount, the ticket off girl said it only applied before 5:00pm (it didn't say that on the sign) I was determined to get a student discount, so I asked for four student tickets and she said I need to see the Student IDs...we had two college students w ID, but my little cousins who are in middle school did not have theirs. She refused to give us the student discount for them even though she could clearly see they are 12 & 13! I was really annoyed because of how rude she was about the whole thing. She refused to give the people in front of us student discounts, then she gives me two out of four student discounts!! It's as thought they pick and choose who they want to help and how much they want to help. read more

This is absolutely ridiculous and should not have happened my son and I went to go see a movie Saturday to find a mouse killed on a trap. He had dropped his toy and it fell through the seats with his drink and popcorn next to the side with the mouse! The only positive thing I can say is the theaters were clean however only if you go in the morning as during the day it seems like someone is not doing their job correctly. The theaters are kept clean. Employees are courteous. Concession stand prices are high but they are high everywhere.

I remember the days when we had to drive to Merced or Turlock to see a movie. Trying to gauge the right time to get there and the long drive back if you went to a late movie. Compared to those days I see this LB Cinemas as a blessing, are they a 5 star ? No way. However look at the gas you save by going locally to see a movie. My experience have been pretty pleasant, however my standards for watching a movie are pretty low. All I require is a seat, some popcorn and a drink, and of course the movie itself. I phase out all my surrounding and just concentrate on the movie for 1 -2 hours. Go to Riverbank , Modesto if you want the comfort.But for just the movie itself , LB Cinemas fit the bill. This theater reopened recently and I went all three nights of the opening weekend. The theater is very well maintained inside, clean, social distancing is handled very well ( you are only allowed to sit closely if you are in the same family or arrived together). The concessions are just as high cost as other theaters so that is not a negative. Only 2 negatives I have with this theater and why I took off one star. First, while the inside is well taken care of, the outside entryway is not. All three nights I saw the same leaves, bird feathers, and bits of paper as the night before. After opening night, popcorn from the previous night was left on the sidewalks and in the entryway. Don't they maintain their storefront? The second negative is the fact they do not allow your own food to be brought in. This is a small thing simply because other chains I have been to in the past have no such restrictions. I would also like to add to the positive side that their matinee, student, children's, and seniors discounts are low enough that they truly are a bargain compared to general admissions. read more

It is walking distance from Me. I like it. I don't have to drive out of town to watch a movie. Price is reasonable especially on Bargain Tuesdays. Not a lot of previews so that is a +. I went to watch Inside Out at Fresno's Edward theater and its pretty pricey, movie and snacks. IT was so crowded. There were at least 10 previews before the actual movie started. That's when I knew how much I actually liked this little one. Staff can be a little on the rude side but also I've had good experiences with some also. Also, at Edwards they charge for the popcorn seasoning. Whereas here they don't. Keep it up guys you're doing great :) read more

Honestly the best popcorn compared to all they're I been to and the flavored salts are free to use as you please. However over the years employees have gotten not necessarily rude but just look unhappy and aren't very helpful unless you ask. Employees used to offer help and greet you happily, I liked the employees that they used to have, even the managers are different. I remember a young lady in black shirt happily greeting us and gladly resolved an issue we had when we went, she pulled her nice long curled hair up to help at concessions rather than telling another employee. It would be nice if they upgraded their seats but overall clean theatre. read more

I went to the movies today to see a movie with my daughter and everything was great. But what really made me think the staff had great customer service, was when I went to my truck to leave, and I had left my lights on and my battery had died. I asked people in the parking lot if they can help me. If anybody had jumper cables or anything and nobody had anything to help me so I was stuck. I went to the window and ask the employees if they could help me and two employees went out of their way use their own jumper cables and personal vehicle to help me I took quite a few minutes cause I have a big truck but the battery got started and I was able to leave they went above and beyond to help me and I appreciate that so much if you guys are reading this thank you! read more

Went to see an early showing of Onward and let me tell you how horrible that experience was. We ordered our tickets online and went to the kiosk to print them out, but that wasn't working. No big deal as we went back outside to get our tickets from the booth. Got our snacks after waiting quite a bit (but i'll give them this pass since I'm not one to care about privies and I understood they were short staffed). Snacks in hand we find really good seats and turns out we didn't miss any trailers. Trailer for peter rabbit starts and this is where the fun begins. The top of the screen was cut and we couldn't see that portion of the movie. Around 15% of the left side of the screen wasn't being used and the picture itself was zoomed in and to be frank looked like shit. I get up to tell someone and they said the manager was already looking at fixing it. Great! No problem, we can wait a little longer for a good quality movie. Thus we wait 5-10 minutes before they start the trailers again. Yet nothing changed. The format for the picture was still way off and looked terrible. So we sit there, waiting for them to turn off the trailers again and move the picture around. Nope. They let the trailers play through and the movie begins. Let me tell you it looks worse than the trailers. I did waste my hard earned money for this. Go tell someone again, they assure us the manager is working on it. But why not just stop the movie and let us know we needed to wait? Why play the movie? We left with our tickets refunded and have decided not to return to this theater. It's 2020 get your shit together. read more

I really am fed up with this theater's selections. So many times, I have to go to Merced, or Turlock to see a film I want to see, because it is not playing here! and I am not talking about an under-the-radar film, I am talking about films that are number 1 or 2 in the country! Some times they do pop up, but 4 weeks after its initial release. How the nations top films dont always make the cut to be in our town, yet crappy movies no one has heard of will play for a few weeks, i will never know. This is one of the worst theaters ever. The online website is incorrect so much of the time that I have gone at the wrong time for example it said the movie was starting at 3:30 and when I got there it had started an hour ago. This time there were no times posted for the Thursday preview and they always start at 7:00pm since they no longer show at midnight. When I got there about 20 minutes early only to find that it had started at 6:00 this time. The other issue is that they will offer the special movie on Thursday in the regular screen then on Friday they offer it in 3D. Soooo dishonest. So I took my money out of town, not to the owner's Hollister theater (where he plays the best movies and gives Los Banos the lousy ones) but to Fresno and gave them my money. This is what I do now so he is loosing money since he doesn't care about his Los Banos customers. There are others that take their money elsewhere as well. read more
