They even helped us with desserts and beverage that we didn't purchase from them. If I could give them 10-stars I would. They were so helpful and we felt like a team. Also, because our event was at a ranch location and a little more difficult to stage, I appreciated that JoLynn and Madison met me on site to do a preview of the location. Most of our team loved the wraps but for the chicken pesto wrap as the reviews were mixed about the same. All in all great service ( they delivered the order for us and made sure that we had ample silverware , napkins etc) and good food. Chef JP their "All Star Chef" should definitely be let go! Let me start by saying almost everyone at the wedding left hungry. To start 3/4 of Fillet mignon entrees were so overcooked that they weren't even edible. We requested to have all of the steaks to all be served medium rare but Chef JP told us they needed to cook all steaks medium. We said "that's fine" and asked him to serve the steaks with el dente asparagus. Apparently he doesn't have a clue how to blanch asparagus or to cook a steak medium. The crab bisque had zero crab, and the eggplant parmesan and the chicken piccata were both served cold. What a total bust!! All of that for $30,000.00 Take it from someone who fell for the Biscuits & Berries bells and whistles. They have a beautiful showroom and they offer great tastings. But unfortunately that's where it ends. Chef JP can cook for two or three people at once but that is all. He does not have the talent or the team to cook that same quality of food on a large scale. I had recently eaten at Oliver's Italian, which I can only describe as an experience that made me question several fundamental assumptions about civilization. The meal wasn't merely disappointing. It was the kind of meal where you leave the restaurant and immediately begin mentally reconstructing every decision that led you there. Then I ate at True Love Tacos. And suddenly, I understood forgiveness. These tacos are ridiculous. The tortillas have that perfect combination of warmth, char, and structural integrity that makes you wonder why we ever bothered inventing plates. The meat is seasoned like somebody actually gave a shit. The toppings aren't there merely to provide color--they're participating. Every bite has something going on. Crunch. Fat. Acid. Heat. Char. Freshness. It's almost rude. At Oliver's, I spent the meal wondering when it would end. At True Love Tacos, I spent the meal wondering how quickly I could order another taco without making it obvious that I had completely lost control. The difference was profound. Bleu Sage's generosity really shined through during Make-A-Wish Week at Golden High School. For years now they have been donating homemade rice krispy treats, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, and other goodies to raise money for children with life-threatening illnesses. Bleu Sage dropped off the donations along with napkins, plates, gloves, and of course cheerful smiles. We would not have been able to reach our goal without them.
