Wyatt and a trainee did our inspection (pretty quickly I might add) and when we came by to go over the inspection we had two main concerns, the water heater that was 10+ years old and what kind of sewer pipes our home had. Wyatt told us the water heater wasn't a problem. It was something that just "breaks when it breaks" and as for the pipes, he said they were PVC not cast iron. We managed to get the old home owners to replace the water heater because when this item breaks it's over $1000 to replace. As for the pipes, they ended up being cast iron and had to be replaced within two weeks of moving into the home. Cast iron pipes were a huge red flag for us when buying a home so the fact that he guessed and didn't even look at our pipe clean outs which were located in visible areas in the front and back of the home is ridiculous. When we reached out to Chris (the owner) he apologized for Wyatt's (the owner's SON) mistake, but didn't offer to help in anyway. Not even for a refund of the inspection that was supposed to "save us thousands". All he did was send an email wiping their hands clean of the whole situation. Saying that they only look at things that are "visible". Well the pipe clean outs in the front and backyard were pretty visible. Truly disappointing.

His price was very reasonable; especially after getting some outrageously expensive quotes and some questionably low "11 month quotes" from other inspectors only to find out that they don't have to abide by the same new home purchase inspection standards set by the TREC. We were given a long report with pictures and recommendations which we submitted to our builder for warranty repair. When I told him that his behavior felt intimidating, he responded that he had researched me on the "deep dark web." We then asked that our interactions remain strictly professional and limited to inspection-related matters, but he declined to agree to that boundary. The encounter left us feeling unsafe and deeply uncomfortable. We have since filed a formal complaint with the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) regarding this incident. It is our personal recommendation to stay very far from this company. Homeowners deserve respect, professionalism, and basic privacy when inviting someone into their home.
