We stayed here during the a Silverstone Grand Prix and the hotel offered a variety snacks and water for guests to take with them to the track free of charge. At breakfast, they also had bacon and sausage sandwiches pre-wrapped and ready to pack and go. If you're coming to the F1 race, I would definitely recommend staying here!

Pros: * City Centre Based * Majority of the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. * Rooms are nice, spacious and modern * Usual small TVs have been replaced with decent Large Flat Screen TVs (Although awkwardly placed above the desk) * Food isn't too bad Cons: * Mobile Signal Blackspot - it seems impossible to get a signal in majority of the rooms in the hotel. Which when they don't have phones in the room is pretty frustrating. A small card is left on the desk to call reception if you need anything however with no signal this is pointless. * Cleanliness - I'm not sure if i'm just unlucky but when you practically live in hotels you notice the cleanliness more. I've routinely had to complain about the attention to cleaning. Regularly I find hairs all over the bath/shower as well as marks on the pillow cases. I've also come back to the room after work to find its also not been serviced.

I used to love coming camping here when I was younger and would take between 2 and 6 weekend trips every year between Easter and September. I had some of my best Holiday's here. I would spent the daytime playing in one of the many parks, in the outdoor pool or floating on the River in my Dinghy. Then the evenings head out to the funfair where I would pay 50p for unlimited rides on the giant slide running up the stairs with my mat until it felt like my legs would fall off and then spend ages watching the ladies make hot fresh Doughnuts before then having eating contests with my friends (who could eat a whole Donut without licking their lips?). But now it's completely different. the peddle boats available for all ages on Willow Lake are now replaced with Jet Ski's which of course are height limited, all of the parks are looking a lot more sparse than they used to (done away with almost everything classed as 'dangerous' through fear of law suit?) the Funfair just isn't what it used to be and the outdoor pool is gone. Instead there is this huge monstrosity that is ''The Venue' with indoor pool, arcade machines and a snooty restaurant. Maybe I'm just getting old and do not understand the need for everything to be modernized but in my eyes you come to Billing for camping and that means cooking on a gas burner for Breakfast / Dinner, taking walks around the beautiful grounds and generally getting back to basics. That being said they do still have to Go Karts here which always had the loudest sound system you could hear it halfway over the park (not now though) and the Car Show is still an annual event.

Unfortunately there were storms overnight, no big deal in a 'van but for some reason the water control system broke down, the whole flood-plain flooded and we woke up to see a foot deep lake surrounding us! After carring my wife to the car, she wasn't keen on the possibility of worms touching her feet whilst wading, we followed the bin bags, marking water logged the road, we went home :) Campers nearer the river were less fortunate.

Often, it's noisy nearby the gym because the door gets slammed a lot at night for some reason. - Surrounding: nothing much surrounded. If you drive, Highway is right next to the hotel so it's convenient. Closest restaurant or pub is about 30 min on foot so I suggest you take a taxi (About 8-10 pounds one way) to town center for shopping or dining. - Restaurant: Excellent. Breakfast offers full hot/cold breakfast including fried egg/poached egg/scrambled egg and potatoes, beans, various kinds of bread, yogurt, fruits, cheese, cold meats, pastries and cereals. I didn't try lunch but at dinner, daily special 17pounds for 2 course or 21 pounds for 3 course. I thought all dishes were excellent. On tuesdays and wednsedays, you can get buffet offering 4-5 main dishes and desserts for $17 (include steak) or $15 (international food theme). Don't miss buffet. It's very worth it. Internet is 15 pounds for 24 hrs or 75 pounds for 1 week but this is standard for most hotels in UK. PS: No business center or hilton honor lounge...

This is a fairly typical Hilton, with large reception area with café, bar and restaurant. When I was there mid-week the restaurant was serving a Chinese buffet which although it was tasty and looked like Chinese food, didn't particularly taste Chinese. There are some good sized meeting rooms if you are planning a wedding or a business meeting, and a Health Club with gym, aerobics, Jacuzzi, sauna and massage. The hotel room was better than average: it was a good size, comfortable with a sofa, desk and a 32 flat-screen TV and a good selection of channels. There is a large pay car park, but the charge for this was included in my room rate.
