Hi i notice the reviews on here are old, we visited at easter 2015 and believe me its worse than ever, i can relate to some of the comments Billing was a lovely place to visit and we did as a family for over 30 years, my parents had a seasonal caravan pitch on the lake edge truly lovely but afraid that was many years ago, more space is given to static caravans and any touring units requiring electrics you might as well pitch up at the local pig farm, the place was a bog don't get me wrong i have seen it many times but what has ever been done about it most modern campsites have hardstandings we had to push two caravans onto our pitch as you didn't want to drive on we were told straight away by neighbours who got stuck, what a start but by far the end of our disasterous weekend.
We then had cold shower every day no matter what time you visited, power cuts that lasted hours not fun when you have infants, Staff that didn't know there __se from there elbow and when we complained about the showers she said get up earlier, we are on holiday you might not be but don't tell me to get up early and shower i am a builder and leave my house every day at 6 am don't insult me by saying shower early if i want to shower at 10 am after a lay in thats why we are there!!! what a cheek!!
The toilets are disgusting at the best of times i went in after the cleaners and i don't believe they done anything, toilet paper all over the floor, no toilet paper or soap and it stinks, what the hell have they been doing in there, both did not speak English when i asked to speak with there supervisor, i give up, i have sent 4- 5 emails to pure leisure to complain and have heard nothing so that sums it up really a site owned by people that don't care and staff that follow suit.
My family has vowed to never go back so we might not encounter any improvements but hopefully our complaint might help other families encounter what we had many years ago.
We have so many good memories there we feel badly let down as a whole family, when are the so called bosses going to realise how many people they are driving away similar to us, maybe try staying on the site and and feel our frustration my 15 year old could do better at managing the site. NO SERIOUSLY HE COULD. read more
