We're usually big fans, of Premier Inns. This one, really let us down.
Having eaten here, because of construction issues at the Kings Crossing Premier, we were really looking forward to trying out this place. It was suppose to have new upgrades, etc. Customer service fail big time.
We arrived tired, after riding the train from Broadstairs, Kent, then getting across the station, then rolling our bags to this destination, only to find out that they would have to place us else where.
I was met by a black man in a suit, when I came off the lift, the impression he gave me was that some of the hallways, had flooded with water? Her Ladyship, had made the reservations, so she quickly intervened, and I went over to a table by the bar area to sit down. We were tired, hungry and thirsty, so I ordered us a couple half pints. Her grace, came over and informed me that there was no room at the Inn. Since it was our last night, before flying back to the states, we had reserved one of their more expensive rooms. We were excited about being here, as it is right across from the British Library. We also, remembered how nice the wait staff had been, when we had dined here, because of the issues at the Kings Crossing Inn. And it had been one of our best Thyme restaurant meals.
Finally, the same black man came over, I'm assuming he's the manager, and told us a cab was coming. We had been booked into another one of the Premiers, which I thought would be the King's Crossing, but found out we were going to one on Old Street. Where in hell was that, well I found out it was no where, near where we wanted to be. Even the cab driver got lost trying to deliver us there.
I'm really shocked that St Pancras, had nothing for people to snack on while they waited for there cabs, and the vending machines were out of order also. And they were out of order, when we arrived at the Old Street Premier.
St Pancras Premier, would be getting 1 STAR, but I'm giving them credit for the wait staff, when we were forced to dine there, because of the above mentioned construction issue at Kings Crossing.
Why no phone call, text message, or email? At least we could have stopped for a meal or something before we arrived. Not a happy camper and will not return, unless we have too. read more
