If you go along canal the opposite way you will meet the Trent river and have a smashing view of Notts Forests City grounds. It's a nice walk too, during which we saw a family of Canada Geese. I guess it'd be a pretty handy hotel for the of Notts Forests games, as well as any of the cricket games at Trent Bridge.
