I don't think I've given 5 stars before!
We came here nearly 6 years ago for a short honeymoon break. It was the 'poshest' Hotel I'd ever stayed in!
Our return showed that the standard hasn't dropped!
It's not stuffy posh though; the staff are friendly and informal while the ambience is warm and comforting. You don't feel intimidated!

It's location is at the egde of the beautiful (but popular) village next to the river which flows through the lovely gardens. I noticed they seem to be accumulating some interesting sculptures.
Wonderful, picturesque walks begin right ourside the door. You need these in order to counter the vast amounts of food you consume!
