My husband found this auto repair shop, "Die Hard" was still open on Sunday and the mechanic, Rafael told him that they would stay open until I arrived. It took around 3 hours for them to diagnose, but parts, install the parts (spark plug & 6 ignition coils, and then test my car. And they fixed my car! I made it to Salt Lake City later that night. Raphael's wife made sure we were okay and that our 4 kids were alright. They asked if we needed a ride to a hotel for the night, but with the timeline they kept, we were able to get back on the road and finish our trip. When we arrived to the car the next morning; since the insurnace company hadn't filed an insurance claim yet, so we had to wait until the next morning. The items were no longer in the car. A solid week of trying to get answers from Crawford's with no response, we heard back and were told that someone had probably jumped the fence andd they are not responsible. However their outside yard has razor wire along the top of the fencing. Kinda odd how things just vanish from their yard.

From the first phone call I knew I had called the right place. Rick opened up his shop on his day off and delivered me the unfortunate news that the transmission would need to be replaced. He offered to let me camp at his shop for the night and even ran me an extension cord so I had power. The next morning, Rick gathered the estimates and helped me check into a near by RV park. For the next week, Rick gave me frequent updates on the shipment of the transmission while I enjoyed the stunning Burley/Heyburn area. Once delivered it took Rick less than a day to install the transmission and I was back on the road later that day and was able to get home to NY on schedule. Rick and his workers are a blessing.

My wife noticed the TPMS light on when leaving your store. She said it eventually went out on the…read moreway home, but when I checked the pressures, one front tire had 73#, and the other had 80#. I adjusted them to the correct pressures. This of course was when I noticed that all but one of my valve stem extensions were missing. There were originally 6 installed. I attempted to check and adjust the tire pressures on the right rear, and noticed the inner valve stem was not lined up. And that a regular valve stem cap was installed on the inside dual. This resulted in my having to lift the truck, remove the outer tire and then spin it to get the valve stems realigned and adjust the tire pressures as needed. While my wife was in your store, I asked her to check on the price to install 4 new tires that we would provide; and was very surprised she was quoted $240 to do the same dismount/mount & balance for 4 tires that you had just completed and charged her $80 for. When asked why the big discrepancy, she was told if you damaged a tire that you did not provide, that you'd have to replace it. Which, the tires that you just rotated were not your tires, so if you damaged one of those, then what do you do? When you combine all of the issues I found in just a simple tire rotation, and what looks to me like price gouging, unless I can get a better explanation I will probably not be coming back to your store with my trucks.

I have far less charitable thoughts about some of the other places in town. But these guys were great I was tired, in an unfamiliar place and in a bind.
