This dry cleaner is the most reasonably priced cleaner on the Northshore. Each piece is $2.05 (plus tax), and most items only take a day. The catch is that it is cash or check only, and you must prepay. I learned this the hard way, when I brought about 10 items and wanted to use my card. The cleaning is done on site, which allows them to do your items quickly. This is very convenient when you get your suit back from the tailor and need it cleaned before your event the next day (I like to procrastinate). The employees are very friendly and professional. They also are very quick, which is especially important considering the volume this place has. Because they do a good job, and are cheap, the place can get packed. I brought my king size quilted blanket there for cleaning. They lost it!! Owner said he thinks it was given to another customer by mistake and they were unable to retrieve it. They did reimburse me for the cost of my quilt, but I will not use them again. Bought 5 new Brooks Brothers shirts and brought them to Premier Cleaners to have them pressed. I personally took them out the packaging and inspected every shirt. Picked them up today and was absolutely stunned to find two of shirts severely stained. I have had hundreds of shirts cleaned and have never encountered anything this bad. read more

I have been using Premier cleaners in Covington for over 10 years. Recently, the long time owners sold the cleaners to a new operator and I have never seen a business go down so quickly. The entire place is absolutely filthy. I picked up clothes this morning at 7:30 and the floor look like it has not been swept or vacuumed in over six months. Recently my dry laundry order was delayed 10 days before I could pick it up. The employees were nice but don't seem to have any clue why it takes so long and when I mention how dirty the floor was, and they looked at me and shrugged. I am a physician. I have exclusively patronized this establishment for over 15 years. I went to drop off my clothes last week Not one employee was wearing a mask. I went to pick up my clothes today , not one was wearing a mask. I have just completed hospital rounds and went home showered , changed my clothes before I went to pick up my clothes out of respect for others around me . I am vaccinated . I still keep an N95 on for the greater good of those around me . I have had families say good bye to their loved ones over and over again through this pandemic regardless of age , sex or color . I just walked out of a room where another patient died of COVID. 42 years of age. No Pre- existing condition. Please don't tell me you have asthma, or that you don't believe in it , or that you have a plexiglass barricade . All you need is a protective form of covering over your face and mouth and to keep sensible distance . As far as possible from the other person . You did and do neither. You are irresponsible and careless and are putting all those around you at risk . You are also not following guidelines . This is a poor show for a business in a thriving community. I called to ask if they did dupioni silk curtains because of the specialty nature and they said yes. I picked them up and they were wrinkled beyond belief and one panel ripped horizontally in 3 places. These were blackout double lined, double wide potterybarn panels at $500 each. The owner Bert didn't call me back or even look at them. He said that happens to silk with dry cleaning and there was nothing he could do. Well tell people ahead of time maybe and don't say you dry clean something you can't. My sew lady said the rips were from it catching on something not the dry cleaning process. Hubby & I have used them for 5yrs and have never experienced this level of outstanding customer service! I've trusted them with countless items over the years and never had an issue with any of them. Yes the prices are great and because they're popular, mornings & evenings they can get busy. (Be careful in the parking lot!) But 2 incidents stick out for me: 1) A year ago, I took an number of items in for dry cleaning and was pulling my hair out for a couple of days looking for some cash I had withdrawn from the bank. When I picked up my dry cleaning a few days later, the young lady behind the counter handed me an envelope and said this was found in the pocket of one of your jackets. Low and behold it was the $300 I'd been looking for! I tipped the girl $50 on the spot for being so honest. They could have easily taken the cash and never said a thing, but they were honest and honorable, which is pretty unheard of these days. 2) Just last month I took an old leather jacket in to be repaired. They don't do repairs but recommended a local guy who does. Well, after some serious teeth-gnashing to get the jacket returned before our move, Cindy stepped in and got the jacket back from the sub-contractor the night before we drove cross-country. She willingly went above and beyond to assist - even though it wasn't her responsibility to do so. The jacket WAS repaired beautifully, but the repair guy was overwhelmed by volume of business - but Cindy made it right! All in all, I'll be hard-pressed to locate another dry cleaner in our new area that offers this kind of value and service! read more

Cheap but you get what you pay for here. Used them weekly for 6 months with 10-12 pieces a week; never again after this past Thursday. Always, a least two broken buttons so every week two shirts out of commission. They repair them but can't onsite so it means a least a week's wait, maybe more. Have had shirts come back with a tag, on a hanger, in the bag; that have not been cleaned or pressed. Just put on a hanger bagged and given back. Pressing is subpar, if you don't want three creases on each leg of your trousers you have to touch them up yourself. They aren't nice either, with every broken button their response "that's never happened before", or didn't you break it yourself. My wife who picks up the dry cleaning has complained that it's a 30 minute ordeal each time. Culminating point was last week when I returned 3 pairs of trouser that weren't mine. Thinking they would be at least happy that I returned them so they could go to their owner...was I mistaken or what. When you pick up the clerk counts the number of hangers and compares them to the number of pieces you are supposed to have (and supposedly checks that its yours against your tickets). We had a dozen pieces, since that night I realized that since I had three pairs of trousers that weren't mine... then they still had three of mine. After much huffing and puffing on their part, they found mine...four pairs. What took the cake, is that the three pairs they had originally given me where part of an order of five pairs for someone else. They then proceeded to accuse me of having the two other pairs and that I should return them! Having served in the cloth of our Republic as a Marine Officer for thirty years, I can take them not always being prompt or even semi competent but I will not have my integrity questioned. My husband and I usually go here for are usual dry clean, but this time it was different! My husband went to go pick up his clothes and they were all messed up and wrinkled worse then when we brought them! One of his shirts had a broken button that just snapped off and these are brand new high quality shirts. The owner that does the steam said it was the clapper that he uses and we didn't understand why our shirts were wrinkled and messed up! He was very rude and did not give our money back. Reasonably priced cleaners and good service but owner can not tell the difference between dry cleaning damage and a grease stain. I recently picked up my cleaning and days later when I put the shirt on there was a huge burn looking mark on the back of the shirt. When I returned and showed the owner he said it looked like a grease stain, the shirt still had his dry cleaning tag attached to the button hole and the mark was as big as my hand. I pointed out that usually if there is a small ink stain they put a note saying it was there when rec'd. He explained it would be easy to miss. I was more amused than upset that he could truly try to explain his way out of replacing a measley $25 shirt. He offered to redo which was even worse. How do you remove a burm mark? read more

i have used this cleaners since they opened several years ago. Generally satisfied with the product and service. Occasionally had re do's for not properly ironed and wrinkled laundry. Generally nice employees. My recent experience concerns a piece of laundry that was stained at their laundry. They politely said they would re do. Returned 4, yes 4 times over next 15 days and still not corrected and told again give them more time. Asked to just reimburse me for my shirt and immediately received a very very nasty attitude from owner . I calmly tried to speak with her and explain my frustration for returning 4 times to pick up the shirt that was promised to be ready. She gave me back the damaged shirt and told me to leave , which I calmly did. You would have thought I was dealing with Regan in the Exorcist movie, because this lady, the owner, head spun and she turned instantly into a very rude business owner I have several businesses and realize mistakes happen,however I make them good. This cleaners should realize they are not perfect and should make good on their mistake. Would certainly not recommend them or use again since they do not know how to handle a problem and certainly owner displayed a very rude nasty attitude.
