Randomly looking on the Google Maps like one does, I found this near a few other places I was looking at to visit and saw this place. I am glad I came. Driving up, there is fencing like what the enclosures look like in the dinosaur movies, which is cute. The gal working at the front desk was friendly. I like how the dinosaur noises are piped in through speakers hidden in things like fake rocks. The walkways are well maintained. The dinosaurs seem to have been cared for recently, though some are in need of attention. All in all, I would recommend this to anyone who happens to be in the area.

Just a walk in the park.. mosquitoes

Use bug spray!!! Never in my life have I experienced so many mosquitoes in one location. Most exhibits are broken and it's really a generic walk for the money. Don't recommend unless you have little kids who want the Zika virus and just can't live without seeing dinosaurs.

My son is obsessed with Dinosaurs so we HAD to check it out. Super cute idea with giant accurately sized dinosaurs! The pathway through the park is well shaded and we didn't see very many bugs (I assumed we would get eaten alive by mosquitoes but did not). Kids only wanted to do one walkthrough and then play, not an all day thing- maybe 2 hours max. There is also a playground, picnic area, sand table with bones to "dig". There is a gift shop and a photo-op area. *playground is covered but still very hot so I recommended going early or late.

Bring bug spray! We were eaten up but the giant mosquitoes that might as well have been dinosaurs. According to the kid year who knows more about dinosaurs than I do, "they were a bit inaccurate because some needed feathers but it was still really cool!" It was worth it. The staff spent time working with the kids when the wanted to build their own stuffed dinosaurs. While their website and even recorded messages states they are closed they are open everyday. If you plan to visit just give them a call for actual times and prices.

Totally overpriced, avoid unless you're in the area and desperate for anything to do with your restless toddler during a road trip. It's $12/adult to walk through a sad little park with maybe a dozen decrepit dinosaurs. We were there over the holidays so it was a truly bizarre combination of Christmas lights (that aren't on during the day) and decor and dinosaurs.

This place was surprisingly great! I didn't expect it to be that long of a walk, but with our 3 year old it was about 30/45 mins all together. Between walking and reading about the creatures, we had a really good time. The playground was wonderful too!

This is probably the only dinosaur exhibit around. This is a trail that has several different types of dinosaurs along the path. The wild forest add intrigue and sound effects make for a fun experience. This is great for kids and has a neat souvenir shop at the end. The trail is paved for easy walking and takes around 20-30 minutes depending on your pace.

We drove well out of our way to stop here and even got a hotel for the night because we arrived later than expected. It was 100% worth it! There are other locations in Louisiana where you can hold an alligator, but here it is absolutely free. Every person we came in contact with was warm and friendly. They told us all about the gators, from their ages, to what they feed them and how they live at the Chateau. We learned that they paint their nails and even have a chart so you can tell how old the hatchlings and so much more. The highlight for me was obviously holding the baby gator but for my husband it was seeing the giant snapping turtle they have living there. He must have watched it for 20 minutes. It was like seeing a dinosaur. They have tons of great information about things to see and do in the area and the cutest gift shop area with gator plushies and water bottles that say things like "See you later, alligator!". Everything here was just so cute and fun. I was smiling the whole time. They also had clean restrooms and plenty of parking. Make sure to fill out the visitor log when you stop by, because that is how amazing places like these are funded, and don't forget to give them the amazing 5 star review they deserve!

worth a visit!!!…read more the place itself is cute and welcoming. lots brochure for people from out of town like myself. after holding the alligators, buy a couple gifts. it was not overly expensive which is a plus. there is also a park that is great to walk around and enjoy the scenery.

I was looking forward to spending an afternoon bowling with the family, but had a little more…read morefrustration than bowling. First issue was that the balls didn't return on the lane that were given. After going to report it twice, I requested a different lane. After a few frames, the gate in front of the pins got stuck. So, two more trips to the counter and more time wasted waiting for that to get resolved. Keep in mind that you pay by the hour, so if you're like me, you would rather pay for time bowling and not waiting for them to get their act together. At the end of the day, I spent too much time trying to get things fixed and not enough time bowling. And no, you don't get credit for the down time.

The good: It's a decent place to bowl, when you get the opportunity to bowl. They have issues…read morewith ball return on most of the lanes, but they are usually resolved quickly. HOWEVER, expect to have to talk to the staff several times during your hour of bowling, which cuts out some of your bowling session time. The staff has always been nice to me, and quite helpful. And hey, the beer is cold. The bad: The aforementioned issues with the lane aside, YOU CAN HARDLY EVER BOWL THERE! The alley caters to league bowlers, as most do. But unlike my poor fallen comrades at Lafayette Lanes, they don't leave lanes open for walk ins. So they literally don't have any bowling available during peak hours for most of the work week. Saturdays are for Birthday parties, so its always a crap shoot whether you will get a lane or not, and is usually overrun with screaming children when you can get one, but a lane is a lane. So yeah, Fridays and Sundays are your go-to days. And Sundays have limited lanes available so.... Like I said, its decent when you can get it. Here's the league schedule posted on Premier Lanes' website: No bowling lanes available due to bowling leagues Mondays 2:30pm-9pm Tuesdays 4pm-9pm Wednesdays open-2:30pm AND Wednesdays 4pm-9pm Thursdays 4pm-9:30pm LIMITED LANES AVAILABLE: Sundays 4pm-8:30pm Thursdays 9:30pm-11pm Basically, call ahead and don't expect to get a lane unless you are in a league.
