Dr. Zimmerman missed some classic signs of preeclampsia, including elevated blood pressure and headaches/nausea. When I asked him and his nurse about it, they both said my symptoms were no big deal. In the end, I ended up back in the hospital with postpartum preeclampsia and my baby developed some complications that may have been related to my high blood pressure toward the end of my pregnancy. It was a good thing that I asked to be induced a couple weeks early because Dr. Zimmerman intended to let me go longer, which would have worsened everything considerably.
