Parking can be a nightmare and each year I have a hard time remembering which garage parking lot I need to go to, and what floor I need to go for the skywalk. So hopefully this will help future patients. Park in garage 5 on level C closest to an elevator to take to Level B (skywalk). Take the escalator down to the first floor, and then elevators all the way to your left side. Those elevators will take you to floor 21. Dr. Hwang is my OBGYN and she definitely has great bedside manners. She addresses all my concerns and demonstrates a good understanding of what I'm explaining to her. She's very empathetic and really spends the time to help me as a patient understand what is going on with my own body. The wait can be long like any ordinary dr visit. And it's understandable that emergency deliveries happen, which can put a damper on your own appointments. I was a patient of Dr Chu's for years prior to getting pregnant. My review is solely based on my postpartum experience which was terrible. I bounced bck 4 days after having a C-section for preeclampsia. At 36 weeks, she put me on bed rest for the same thing which resolved itself within a week. I came in after having my son, with headaches, fluid retention and a heart rate that wouldn't consistently stay above 45. My sats were also terrible, as I couldn't maintain oxygen above 90 without oxygen. I was symptomatic and she refused to treat me. I am an employee of Memorial Hermann and was being treated at the Mem City location. She kept telling me I wasnt symptomatic for preeclampsia even though all of my symptoms lined up. The Mother Baby staff were phenomenal and they continued to be a patient advocate for me. It took a phone call to my aunt who was the CNO at Southeast to call the CEO and executive staff at Memorial City for her to treat me. Every time she came down from her office, it appeared I was bothering her. I was a new mother who just wanted to get home to her new born. After the phone call, I was treated and didn't appear to be a bother to her anymore. I have a medical background- Degreed and I can't help but to think about how horrible my experience was and what if I didn't know better. She also circumcised my son and botched that up pretty badly to where I had to go in a see a specialist to fix it. read more

Dr Levin is ok. My wife had surgery with her. Memorial Hermann is awful. Anesthesia was awful. PACU and recovery kicked her out while she was still vomiting and could not even stand up. Nurses have no discharge instructions. Nurse could not reach the doctor. Nurses were laughing and singing in recovery....so unprofessional. On follow up I was not allowed to go back with my wife. This isn't Covid times anymore. It's ridiculous. I am never taking a family member to a Hermann associated doctor or facility. Do your self a favor and stick with Methodist read more

PLEASE READ! TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE overall experience. I got pregnant and got referred to Dr Levin by an acquaintance and it was the absolute worst experience. I had no complications throughout my pregnancy. Dr Levin was nice but was always in a rush and not really willing to slow down to explain things to me. As a fist time mom she made me feel like the questions I was asking where dumb or told me we would discuss that later on (which never ever happened). The staff is completely rude, almost always, so that didn't help. Closer to my due date I had so many questions but didn't ask because I knew that I would get the same response. At my 37 week appointment Dr did a check to see about signs for labor and said I was to go home and just relax, although I had expressed not feeling well at all that day and my blood pressure being elevated, she sent me home. That evening, I started heaving heavy bleeding and could not feel the baby move any more so called the doctors office (no later than 7:30pm) and was told not to worry since "she has just seen me that morning". I thank God had a on call nurse who told me to go to D&L just to make sure things where good. I show up to D&L and get admitted immediately due to being dilated and having extremely high blood pressure. Fast forward to now, I figured things may get better and always give providers the benefit of the doubt. I had asked to get an IUD placed. After a week I was in a lot of pain from the IUD, so I call Dr Levin's office and again get dismissed. I decided to find a new OBGYN and she did an ultrasound and noticed that the IUD was completely wrong, hence my pain. I have never felt so unheard and treated poorly, borderline negligence from a medical professional and staff. I hope that this doesn't occur to anyone else. read more

Terrible experience and wrecked my life. The whole thing was a nightmare. They tried to break my wife's water and caused her placenta to abrupt. That led to an emergency c section with my son being born dead and a 0 on the apgar. They revived him and he started breathing on his own. I witnessed the whole thing. Tried to life flight him but it was too foggy and they had to take him in an ambulance and it was t boned in the intersection at memorial city mall. Switched to a new ambulance and made it down to memorial Herman children's just in time to get him on the cooling bed to minimize the brain damage. Spent 13 days in the nicu and I never left his side unless my father was there to watch over him 24/7. I couldn't sleep for a year and a half from ptsd and began to drink heavily to get a few hours at a time. Finally saw a therapist and got my act together. My wife didn't experience any of it because of the anesthesia and that created a huge distance between us and she couldn't relate or understand why I was broken. I dragged the marriage out until my son was 7 and then finally had enough of it and now I'm divorced with a terrible custody arrangement and have less time with my son than I do with anyone else in my life. It all started from that moment in the hospital where the carelessness of one person destroyed the lives of 3 people. It haunts me to this day. read more

She takes her time to answer every question I have and I completely trust her to do what is best for myself and my babies. She has delivered both of my children and while I was very nervous about labor and giving birth for the first time, she always reassured me of my options to have the desired birth that I wanted. She has wonderful bedside manner and made me feel that she always had my best interest at heart. With my second pregnancy, I truly didn't have a worry in the world. I always thought that Dr. Levin and staff would be the ones who I would choose the delivery my baby, when that time came. I had a great experience with her when I needed emergency surgery, and am forever grateful that she was able to save my life. HOWEVER, the personal level of attention really had fallen off since then, and I don't like the fact that for my regularly monthly appointments it takes 1-2 hours of my, waiting to spend 1-2 minutes with Levin. As I'm writing this its 10:35, and my appointment 'started' at 8:45. That's almost 2 hours and I have yet to see the Dr. That's just unacceptable to me, and a colossal waste of my time. Dr. Levin is a great surgeon, but unless you have a lot of free time on your hands to sit around waiting (in freezing rooms, btw) then I'd recommend you keep looking for an OBGYN. read more

Saw Dr.Tharp and she didn't know what she was talking and the nurse that works with her OMG gave me wrong info so I went in thinking I had something that I never did!! WTF!! Horrible experience. Dr. Levin delivered my first baby in June of 2020 and will be delivering my second in March of 2022. She is truly very knowledgeable and always in control. I had some issues with low amniotic fluid and slowed movement at 36 weeks and she made the decision to deliver my perfectly healthy baby to avoid any distress! I'm so grateful to be her patient! I've read some other reviews about her being short and making some women feel rushed. I've never experienced this feeling with her. She always answers my questions in person and quickly through the portal if I forget to ask something during my appointment. Dr. Levin is amazing!! She has literally changed my life for the absolute best. She's very knowledgeable about all aspects of OBGYN including fibroid removal, high risk pregnancy and fertility. I had heard that the doctor I was seeing was supposed to be really good. Turns out she's like all the other doctors who just prescribe pills to cover up the problem you have. Then the new medication gives you more problems on top of what you had. I went in for daily headaches/migraines from what I was thought to be from my current birth control (my body rejects every kind of birth control and figured after 9 or so months it was starting to do the same to what I was using now). She prescribed me a pill that is supposed to lower blood pressure while helping you get rid of headaches. But somehow she missed that my daily blood pressure is 90/60. I've been dizzy and weak since I got up, everything goes black if I stand up from even just sitting in a chair. I'm not a doctor, but I'm also not stupid enough to know to not prescribe someone with low blood pressure medication to lower it even more. * i eventually had the birth control removed from somewhere else and a few weeks later felt much better. Dr. Levin used to be a caring, listening and attentive doctor. Now, she walks into the room, with a young assistant who does her notes, pretends to know or remember you, than speaks fast as she really doesnt want to spend one minute over, does not hear your concern or what's bothering you and leaves as she came. Pretty sad doctor she has become and what's sadder is she has no insight to how she makes people feel. She hired other lady doctors to work in her practice, if they're smart they will not look at her as a role model of how a doctor should be. This place is all about making money. I tried Dr Levin 5 years ago and she was in a rush. And basically didn't say what was wrong. I ended up going to different Dr. Then I tried Dr Chu and she was better but was very relax about everything. 2 weeks ago I was told by my internal medicine dr who does my women's well check up that I need to see the OB GYN and I went to see Dr Chu again. She totally did not listen to anything I had to say and basically told me she didn't think anything was OK. Well I went to get a second opinion. With a different group. Dr Storey same building and same floor. Best experience ever! And yes she agreed with internal med dr. Dismissed a ruptured ovarian cyst as "gas". Saw me for 1 minute and acted too busy for me as well as misdiagnosed me. Charged me for a procedure they made me prepay for then when I arrived to my visit they said I wasn't eligible for the procedure and refused to refund me. Dr. Levins Appt Desk: The only way Dr. Levin would be willing to take you on as a new patient is if you agreed to have a scheduled C-Section delivery. Because my usual doctor decided to move his office to Katy, I looked for a replacement. My future sister-in-law recommended Dr. Sherri Levin. It is obvious that Dr. Levin has a very successful practice (OB/GYN), her office occupies most of the 21st floor in the new tower at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center. The office is plush and bustling. The staff is courteous and efficient. My first appointment, Dr. Levin was in delivery so I was asked if I wanted to wait or I could see the nurse practitioner. I agreed to see the NP. It was still quite a wait but the NP was personable and took extensive notes. She recommended another appointment to address my concerns. Visit number two went without a hitch (they ran a test). The NP looked at the images and recommended a procedure that she briefly explained and made it sound like it was no big deal. Dr. Levin would be doing the procedure. The third visit was a disaster and I don't want to go further with what happened except I lost all respect & confidence in Dr. Levin. I have been contacted by the office to schedule a followup appointment which I ignored. Instead I faxed them a request for the test results. This has been over three weeks and I have yet to get a response from them. read more

Dr. Levin has performed two major surgeries on me: I had a massive 1 pound dermoid cyst removed along with the ovary and she did a total hysterectomy after my second diagnosis of breast cancer. So, to say I've been through a lot with Dr. Levin is a massive understatement. I've read the negative reviews here on Yelp! and can't help wondering if we're seeing the same doctor! My relationship with Dr. Levin's practice began almost 13 years ago when I was referred to her by my endocrinologist. I had had surgery a few years previous to remove several fibroid tumors by another doctor. My reproductive system was a mess. She and I dealt with the dermoid and there was a huge effort to get my remaining ovary to actually work so I could get pregnant. But there was just too much damage in my pelvic area and she was amazingly supportive as I faced the fact that I could not be a mother. Then, when I discovered my breast lump at 39, it was her nurse practitioner who got me into the diagnostic process. They recommended a very fine surgeon to deal with my cancer. I came back to Dr. Levin for my annual after diagnosis. She walked into the room, grabbed a handful of tissues, walked over and wrapped her arms around me. I broke down and sobbed and she held me while I cried. When I was diagnosed the second time, I decided to do a hysterectomy along with the mastectomy during the same surgery. Her office bent over backward to make that plan work and before I went into surgery, Dr. Levin came to tell me how much she cared for me. I send all my friends to Dr. Levin. My sister lives overseas and when she's home she sees Dr. Levin. I feel very strongly about her as a doctor. I recognize the issue regarding the waiting room. It's possible to be in there a long time. But, to be honest, I've never had an OBGYN ever be on time for appointments so don't get too frustrated with it. I understand the frustrations of the other posters and hope the found much better situations that suited them better. read more

Don't be confused by the reviews. Levin and Associates is a money making operation only. Long wait on my very first visit and ever since. Urine samples on the floor, in a basket with all the other urine samples of other patients from the whole day! I'll try and load the photo, if they don't remove it. Lab person wants to charge up front for lab work that I know will be covered. I have never talked to Dr. Gonzalez for more than 5 minutes. Dr Sherri Levin is literally the best. I first seen her when Dr. Hickman(Houston IVF) referred me to her for a myomectomy after I found out I needed to remove fibroids in order to get pregnant. I was told by other doctors that even after the myomectomy, I wasn't going to be able to get pregnant without fertilization assistance. January 2020 Dr. Sherri Levin removed 13 fibroids. My smooth recovery was due to the care and attention I received from Dr. Levin and her staff. I was nervous and had a lot of questions but Dr. Levin made me feel comfortable and at ease by always being available to me and answering all my questions. May 2020 I went in for a health and wellness checkup which was supposed to be my last appointment before going back to Houston IVF(fertilization Dr.). It was at this checkup Dr. Levin informed me that I was pregnant. I was able to conceive naturally with no outside assistance. My pregnancy was smooth and not high risk even after having a myomectomy and being 35 years of age. I was in Dr. Levin care for my entire pregnancy. Dr. Levin and her staff was very attentive to me. Dr. Levin made my husband and I feel very comfortable at every appointment with her warm welcomes, positive energy and explaining everything in detail when we had concerns or questions. Dec 2020 we gave birth to a beautiful healthy baby boy via c-section and Dr.Levin performed the c-section. She was there for us during my entire recovery. Dr. Levin is an amazing Doctor and I recommend her to anyone. I had a horrible experience today. I went the waiting area was chaotic waited & not comforting. No one ever said hi and when I asked what I needed to do they didn't even look me in the eyes. Then waited another 45 minutes. The gowns are way too small, I was basically hanging out there. Then I Could hear every word and even the ultrasound of the woman next door (nice to hear the baby's heart beat). If you are trying to get pregnant do NOT go to Dr.Levin. I was misdiagnosed and guided in the wrong direction for treatment. She told me I had fertility issues and prescribed me medicine without proactively doing bloodwork (which was later validated by a specialist that I have no issues). When I asked about my treatment plan and the direction she got defensive and passive with me. I question her overall knowledge as a physician and don't wish the stress of being misdiagnosed on anyone. To validate all the previous reviews her office is disorganized and expect to spend time waiting. I was undergoing IUI rounds having ultrasounds several times a week and daily she couldn't remember what she told me the previous day or be able to validate the direction she had previously decided on. This is not how fertility rounds are supposed to go. They are not erratic and disorganized...that is the style of Dr. Levin. She came highly recommended by several people so I assumed it was just me until seeing a specialist who validated this was not how the experience is supposed to be. I was told she isn't thorough which cost me thousands of dollars and time in office visits. read more

I have been going to Dr. Levin for about 10 years, but have known her since she delivered my brother 23 years ago. Her practice is VERY busy, so I always expect a wait (hence only 4 stars). To combat some of those opinions that she is only interested in putting you on medications, here is my personal story: When I was 20 I went in for more irregular periods after discontinuing birth control. I had done my own research, and believe I had PCOS based on my symptoms. Dr. Levin was extremely hesitant on giving me that diagnosis, as it requires a lot of medications, so she did her best to get my body back on track naturally. While I was away at college I began to see another OBGYN in Austin, who quickly diagnosed me with PCOS(no ultrasound confirmation) and suggesting I simply get back on birth control. Five years later I came back to Dr. Levin, now married and interested in getting pregnant, and we discussed the previous doctor's diagnosis of PCOS, and she was still very hesitant to move on with that diagnosis. She scheduled blood work and tried again to get things going naturally. Reluctantly, she ended up diagnosing me with PCOS and began to talk with me about all of my options for getting pregnant. She is always so friendly, greets me with a hug, and is willing to take all the time I need to talk about my concerns. Most recently she had a delivery waiting, and instead of pushing me to her assistant she stayed and talked through everything with me. I think it is important to take everything with a grain of salt. She is a fantastic doctor, but she is also a VERY busy one, so that means longer wait times and appointment confusions! read more

I am so very surprised at the recent reviews I have read regarding Dr. Levin. I have been seeing Dr. Levin for about 3 years now and have had nothing but the best experiences there. I started out going to her as my regular OB/GYN then my husband and I decided to have a baby. She helped us through the process as I had a hard time getting pregnant but she was wonderful during the entire process. I am so excited to say that I am pregnant with twins and due late July. I can't imagine going to see any other doctor. Dr. Levin is totally committed to her patients and takes more of an interest than any other OB/GYN I have ever seen. She is a truly compassionate and caring woman and doctor and so is everyone in her office. I am personally offended by some of the comments made about her as I know a whole other person.
