Wayne inspected our home about 4 years ago. He did an absolutely awful job. We learned just how poorly of a job he did about a year and a half after the fact. We decided not to pursue legal action and just work through the problems with our home (we figured with his fine print he'd be covered in court and the seller of our home most likely didn't have enough to cover legal fees if we sued and won). The story has a happy ending and ultimately, we are grateful that we have gotten to know a lot of great contractors and have learned to do a lot ourselves. However, we could have avoided 2.5 years of constant stress and the $100k we've spent on home repairs over the past 2.5 years if this inspector knew what he was doing; we would not have bought this home had we known certain things, but we thank God we've been able to keep up with the financial burden. This man missed MAJOR obvious issues with ductwork from the 70s, Savannah brick that led to leakage around the chimney, drainage issues in the backyard that contributed to foundation and crawlspace issues, electrical issues, plumbing issues, etc. he listed several things as "defective" in our report that weren't serious issues, giving the false impression he had done a thorough job. Normally I accompany a home inspector but with Mr. Beasley I did not due to having a 1 year old at the time and getting weird "mom gut" feelings from other individuals involved in the sale of our home (which now that several years have passed I've learned things about those individuals from others in the community, I am so glad I didn't leave my child with them to go crawl around in crawl spaces and attics). So why write a review now? I met a woman yesterday that was telling me about issues with her home and guess who used the same home inspector? The statute of limitations has passed and we can't pursue legal action, but her story and other reviews here make me regret not doing more so that similar things don't happen to other families buying homes and using this inspector. This man is a very poor home inspector and does NOT do a thorough job. He was recommended to me by name by the realtor we used, and I fear others considering his services will not see reviews here. If you do, DO NOT HIRE and if he was recommended by the realtor, get a new one. read more
