We hired Googe Property Services in August for multiple major projects, including installing a…read moremetal roof, repairing subflooring and flooring, fixing ceiling damage from roof leaks, replacing gutters, and adding upgrades to the front porch ceiling. Initially, everything appeared to be going well. However, once the work progressed and weather tested the repairs, significant problems began to surface. After the first rain, we noticed the gutters were installed incorrectly--they were not properly attached to the drains in the ground, the overlaps were installed in the wrong direction, and they were leaking from multiple spots. We contacted Preston, and a crew was sent out to correct the issue. Unfortunately, after subsequent rain, the gutters continued to leak. Additionally, the crew left white barcode stickers on our black gutters, which looked very unprofessional. While the stickers were eventually scraped off, the gutter issues were never fully resolved and remain ongoing. During work on the front porch ceiling, the crew damaged the existing deck floor by cutting into it unintentionally due to not making their cuts on a table. This damage should not have occurred. Additionally, the electrician hired by Googe Property Services caused extensive damage to an interior wall while installing wiring and a wall plate for a porch light and ceiling fan. We documented the damage and sent photos to Preston. While someone was later sent to repair the hole, the level of damage was unacceptable. While replacing the flooring, the crew also damaged several personal items inside our home. Although Preston did have the crew return to replace a broken closet organizer, these incidents added to a growing pattern of careless workmanship. As of January, the flooring installed by Googe Property Services is lifting in at least eight different areas, despite assurances that it would not do so. We sent photos and requested a phone call to discuss how this issue would be fixed. For over a week, Preston has ignored our calls and text messages, leaving us without communication or resolution. Due to the unresolved issues and lack of response, we are now left with no option but to pursue small claims court. While some attempts were made to address problems along the way, the repeated workmanship issues, continued defects, property damage, and eventual lack of communication make it difficult to recommend Googe Property Services.
