Personally I would go elsewhere. The only reason why I called this guy because he's local in Glendora and so is my tenant. He seemed decent over the phone. However, come to find out they are desperate for money and just ripping people off. We had an appointment for Friday, however this company insisted on coming Wednesday even though it was raining and the time frame was 2-4pm shows up at 3:30pm calls me at 3:40pm that he knows the issue and it's $500. Insane and calls me at 4:30pm works all done. And the part is definitely not $240. I guess he's just hurting and ripping people off. This isn't how I conduct business. Kris helped me price, present to the homeowners and install 18 new garage doors at my townhouse complex several years ago. He made it a smooth, seamless project at a fair price, and even arranged to have our original solid wood garage doors donated to Mexico for housing projects. Kris is on it. I went through 4 different companies to get quotes for a new door and motor. My old door was a POS. He completely removed all the old hardware and installed all new hardware. The new door and opener is so quiet that you can't hear it in the next room. The opener is also WiFi enabled and I can open and close it with my phone through an app. Amazon can also open this door now if you set it up from the app. No more stolen packages!!! The big name companies were much more $$$ and not very personable. Kris was great to deal with. I am now posting a review over 2 years later as I believe now would be a complete review of not only the service at the time but the real quality of the product and it's installation. We called Kris back in July of 2018 to get an estimate to replace our unusable 20 plus year old tin garage door and ancient non working garage door opener. The thing I remember was how responsive and professional he was. He came by and gave an immediate quote on a new garage door and garage door opener that you could not only open and close with a remote but with an app on your phone as well as get alerts on your phone of it opening and closing. Within a week they came by on 7/13/18 and did the installation the same day and also hauled away the old door. All of this was done professionally with no problems or issues within 5 hours as Kris helped out himself due to circumstances I don't recall beneficial to us. The garage worked flawlessly for almost a year until one day it wouldn't close all the way. It was a rainy day and it was an emergency in my eyes so I called Kris. He immediately responded again and sent out the same tech that did the installation. He explained to me that it was not uncommon that the springs needed to be adjusted after settling a bit after installation. He also went over basic, routine maintenance I should do every six months/yearly. After this adjustment, the garage door has performed flawlessly and with regular cleaning of the outside door, still looks like new. It is also awesome to be able to remotely open the garage door for family or friends if they need to come by and pickup or drop off something when I am at work. Also, I love the peace of mind of getting alerts of the garage opening and closing so that I can be sure I closed it after I have left the house. In the two years since we dealt with Kris and his company we have had many contractors and companies come to our home as we have remodeled every room, changed out all major appliances, redid both the front and back yard and even had solar panels added. I can tell you in all the people we have dealt with, Kris still sticks out in my mind as the most professional, pleasant and most importantly, responsive person I have dealt with in that time. This review is waaaaay late but Kris has helped me twice with my doors. On one occasion a (nameless) family member had a bit of a woops and drove into the garage door. Kris was able to replace the damaged panels and even brought them to me early so that I could paint match them to the existing panels. On the second occasion Kris installed an additional panel above my main door which allowed him to move the mechanism up to the ceiling. I'm a photographer and this change means that the door opens over my light and background stands rather than knocking them over!
