On December 1, 2025, our entire house was destroyed in a catastrophic flood. We had just moved into our newly remodeled turn-key home 5 years previously and still loved everything about it. To say we were shell shocked and devastated would be putting it mildly. Our home was now in ruins. Bathrooms, cabinetry, flooring, drywall were all destroyed and our home was basically unlivable. We were down to studs and raw plumbing. We immediately began to search for the perfect contractor to help us rebuild our home and put our lives back together. We reviewed multiple contractors online and in person, as well as checking with the Nevada Contractors Board and local permitting offices. One name consistently stood out and was above all others. Jerezee Construction. They had hundreds of 5-star reviews which led me to review their gallery of photos on their website. Their quality of work caught my attention. I reached out to their office and spoke to Ian. We found him to be very professional. He immediately set up an appointment and was incredibly empathetic to our plight. The way he handled our initial contact was so different from other companies we contacted. The next step in our journey was meeting the owner Ilan who arrived at our home to assess the damage. It was quickly apparent this was an experienced and highly qualified contractor. He demonstrated exceptional standards, made suggestions, was extremely organized but above all else inspired confidence that he could help us. He reviewed the contract with us line by line, leaving no stone unturned and highly transparent with clear expectations. No hidden fees, and no surprises. Once the project began, a group text was established. This was updated twice daily throughout the project to keep us informed. We next met Heather, one of Jerezee's designers. Heather quickly recognized we were in over our head and inundated with so many decisions and choices to make. She took the lead and helped us make selections on flooring, bathroom tiles, color palates, hardware, lighting fixtures and paint. She made a comprehensive material list which was amazing. Heather was invaluable to us. She was so patient, knowledgeable and held my hand through every step. Both my husband and I are analytical with no creative bone in our body so doing the design part and picking out product was impossible for us. We couldn't have done this rebuild without her. We were assigned a project manager named David. He was the first line supervisor for all the crew and sub-contractors at our home. He was incredibly responsive, timely, accessible, patient, upbeat and positive always. He made a highly stressful period of our life bearable and was such a joy to work with. He was the right man, at the right time, at the right place for us. As the work progressed it quickly became apparent that all their rave reviews were justified. Construction started exactly as planned and they made the process so easy for us. They handled EVERYTHING! Their craftmanship was impeccable. It was as if they were rebuilding their own house. Ilan, the owner was often on site inspecting the work and the progress. Ilan and David were true perfectionists, and nothing escaped their skilled eyes. At the end of the project, we didn't even have a punch list! Their crew and subcontractors were always polite, respectful, professional and kind. Everyone worked so hard to get us back into our home and genuinely seemed empathetic and understanding of our initial heartbreak. In conclusion, Jerezee Construction and their entire team made a devastating time in our life so much less stressful. Many thanks to Ilan and his team of dedicated professionals. As they say, great leaders do not set out to be a leader... they set out to make a difference, and Ilan has done that with Jerezee Construction. Within just a couple of days, Roye met us on-site to walk the property and truly understand our goals, vision, concerns, and the unique challenges we were facing. From that moment on, we knew we were in good hands. Jerezee completely remodeled our cabin in Mount Charleston, and from start to finish, they went above and beyond every step of the way. Mountain construction comes with unique challenges, and we definitely encountered some major ones. Whether it was weather or unexpected issues that come with building on the mountain, the Jerezee team never hesitated to jump in--even on their days off (and even on a birthday!)--to make sure everything was taken care of. That level of dedication and customer service is incredibly rare and gave us so much peace of mind throughout the entire project. Ian brought great energy from the very first phone call and made what could have been a stressful process feel effortless by coordinating and handling all of the administrative details that happen behind the scenes on a project of this size and complexity. One thing that really stood out was the pride they took in their work. The job site was consistently kept clean, organized, and tidy throughout the remodel, which made a huge difference during such a large project. As we reached the finish line, they encouraged us to "blue tape" every item we wanted addressed, no matter how small. They came back and carefully worked through every detail without hesitation. That commitment to the finishing touches is what takes a project from good to truly exceptional. The entire team was knowledgeable, dependable, genuine, and truly invested in making sure our remodel turned out exactly as we had envisioned. Their craftsmanship, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction exceeded every expectation we had. They were transparent throughout the process, communicated openly, and consistently demonstrated that they genuinely cared about the success of our project--not just completing another job. My situation was not a remodel/renovation by choice. Shower was leaking into my neighbor's unit, insurance claims galore, mitigation company was involved. It was a stressful situation for me. I linked up with MVB through the Yelp project feature. I explained my situation and Jessica explained the costs and the insurance quote and the work that needed to be done. She was ready to come out and see what could be done. At the end of the day, the originally company that had given me the estimate for the claim appeared after a month of silence, so MVB did not need to take the hit for the lowball claim amount. I've been without a master bathroom for over a month at this point.... No reasons given - failed inspection twice, workers taking their own sweet time, no one showing up, and even left me with holes in the walls during winter. Knew I was going on vacation and didn't even think of filling the holes for my house sitter! Just insane. Purchased several items on the advice of the office manager that turned out not to work out or didn't have the space for - by the time we realized this it was too late to return any of them. She ordered the wrong time for the shower bench so I have a ton of extra tile plus had to order more of another tile for the bench! When I asked why the toilet had not been installed after several months, his answer was that I have another one in the house so why did I need it in the Master bath? After the thousands of dollars I gave them for both projects he gave me a whopping $1500 off for all the problems. Considering all the extra tile and items I ended up with that couldn't be used, he got a bargain. Would not negotiate at all. Considering the grief all this caused, I can't recommend them.

Shopping around has been a pain as most contractors are really vague and not transparent about pricing. I don't like to jump in to things unless I have an idea of what I'm getting in to , especially when we're talking thousands of dollars. I came across this company as I saw they fully remodeled a home near me (that was recently sold) and their work and design looked good. So I gave them a call and Leo (estimator) was really honest and upfront about their process and more importantly gave me a good ballpark range of what I need to come in with for a full remodel. Also provided some ideas on breaking up the project in to phases (something I never thought about). I normally wouldn't write a review but given the bad experiences I've had just getting a quote from other contractors I'm thoroughly impressed with this company so far.

The common point from what I could tell were that budget, work effort, and communication fell a little short. Karin worked with me on the front end, and Haim executed in an amazing way. That was my experience in the last few months. From a satisfaction point regarding this kitchen renovation it simply could not have gone any better. I will say that the details on the front end matter. We went over several iterations in the beginning. I had narrowed down to two really great contractor options. Ultimately, I went with 702R&R due to their ability to paint with lacquer and extreme attention to detail. I just felt they would do an amazing job. We worked together to build my dream kitchen. It came out even better than I had hoped. I think it is important to review your budget early. Extreme quality costs. Think "Homes on Homes" quality and worthy of HGTV results. I don't want to over promise. It is YOUR design, so you will get what you give. Haim's expertise in managing is worth his weight in gold. Ask early if at your budget level they are interested. I think it will save a lot of hardship on both sides. I will let a few pictures speak for themselves. I'm so grateful I met and hired the 702 folks. They have an incredible team. P.S. Preferred Construction came highly recommended to us by another small business (have used numerous times). The company we had in for electrical repairs said that Preferred Construction was a very reputable company with honest pricing doing quality work. The electrical company has worked with Preferred Construction on numerous local construction projects. We found out Preferred Construction is a good old fashioned company - their name is their bond. YES we have recommended them to others and YES will use them again for all of our internal construction projects in the future. As far as what others have said about Preferred Construction, we did not see or did not experience. My wife (Theresa) led the repairs with Carlos Robles, Preferred Construction. Theresa & Carlos discussed the Home Repair Construction Road map and with time lines (calendar dates) laid out based upon the three different phases of the bathroom repairs. We had two of our bathrooms worked on simultaneously. Before you ask - Yes we had a third bathroom as a contingency for any construction malfunctions and/or delays. We also had tile work done outside in our grill area. The tile crew was awesome. Carlos Robles made sure that all the different phase time lines were completed - conducting site inspections after each phase. This was to insure all construction modifications to include measurements were correct. As I had a serious injury which now required me to have a shower area that met all American with Disabilities Act (ADA compliant). Carlos evaluated critical tasks especially those to prevent water damage. We (especially my wife) are delighted with the work Preferred Construction did on our two bathrooms & outside grill area. And no we have not had any problems (in the year) since they remodeled//repaired both of our bathrooms. Again, Preferred Construction is a reputable company with honest pricing doing quality work. Their craftsmanship has stood the test of time. We have recommended them to others and will use them again in the future. PS Sorry about the pics not being easy to view. We were a little nervous to hire Preferred Construction for our bathroom remodel initially as they were actually our lowest bid of several that we got. The other contractors all warned us over and over to beware of the less expensive bids as they will likely cut corners and do subpar work. Our salesrep, Angel, was excellent and went above and beyond to answer every question we had and even went with us to help us pick out flooring and wall tile which we appreciated. Thanks to Ricardo and his crew, our job began and was completed on-time. Ricardo, Juan Carlos, and Armando showed up every morning and worked all day sometimes staying late to complete a necessary task. They always made sure to clean up and not leave a huge mess before leaving each night. They really paid great attention to detail and at our walk-through, the only tiny thing i had to ask them to fix was a 1/2"section of grout that got missed in the area they tiled in the window sill behind my shutters, which Ricardo H came back and took care of right away. We are thrilled to have our new super shower and would highly recommend Preferred Construction to anyone looking for a good contractor for your next remodel. Angel Montero was our main point of contact and was fantastic throughout the entire process. He was responsive, organized, and always kept us updated. No surprises, no confusion, just clear communication from start to finish. Oscar, Yesenia, and Brayan were at our home every day and were truly great to work with. They were respectful of our space, kept everything clean, and paid attention to the smallest details. You can tell when a crew takes pride in their work, and it absolutely shows in the final result. Preferred Construction has gone above and beyond my expectations in the repair of my home after a bathroom water hose broke and flooded our home. They removed the damaged flooring, drywall, and cabinets in the bathrooms and kitchen. They then replaced all the damaged walls and flooring and cabinets and doors. Their workmanship was absolutely fantastic, including the painting of all rooms. Their follow up after the installation has been great, as they have adjusted doors months later and fixed floor planks that moved. They never added any additional charges. Hello. Just wanted to let everyone know how very pleased we are with Preferred Construction. From the very first call to the company, all throughout the visits from the estimator to the technicians who did fantastic work. They were all very professional in their work. They always showed up every time they said they would. They were prompt with phone calls for issues/questions. I would definitely recommend this company for any construction needed in their home. Very happy with our new stacked stone fireplace and floating shelves. Friendly and very patient with my changes and was able to give us exactly what we wanted in our electric fireplace and TV combo and floating shelves. Special thanks to our project manager Ricardo. Came by just about everyday to check on the project. Made changes which I requested and happy to make sure we were happy. Preferred Construction helped upgrade my kitchen and remove the leftovers of the previous owners. They added a tile backsplash, quartz countertop, new sink and faucet and removed a pony wall behind the sink. The work done by Preferred is beautiful. Sink installion sloppy, cabinet colors didnt match, marks on countertops that don't come off, etc.. The project was estimated at 2-3weeks. It took 4 months. We received a lot of apologies and stories of shipment delays and a personal issue. So we were very understanding and forgiving. They were all very friendly and easy to work with but based on time frames and inconsistent (2 bathrooms in home) quality of work I would not recommend.

That's not why you should hire Mike & Mike...well not the only reason, because their work is top notch. The biggest reason you should hire them (and I absolutely acknowledge I'm an old man yelling "get off my lawn!" here) is "honesty and integrity." These guys come from the old school of standing by your work and letting it speak for itself. My wife really wanted a fridge with an ice maker but the house we moved into didn't have a water line for that. I was trying to get an idea of what it would cost to have one installed so we could decide whether it was within our budget so we could pick a fridge and move forward with our lives. You would seriously not believe how hard that was. I made it abundantly clear to everyone I talked to that I knew they couldn't give me a binding estimate without actually seeing the project, and I begged for just a guess at a range...would this be somewhere between $200 - $2,000, am I looking at more like $10,000? Am I going to need another mortgage for this? I talked to probably 20 different handymen. 19 of them pretended they had no idea what it might cost and wouldn't even give a ballpark or a range without sending someone into my home so they could use their high-pressure sales tactics to make sure they got my business. They had either never done a job like this before, in which case I didn't want them, or they were lying to me, in which case I also didn't want them. Mike and Mike were the exact opposite. I asked what they expected it would cost, and they made their best guess and gave me a range of the top and bottom end based on really hard or really easy jobs. They were super flexible and easy to work with, and when the job was done they came in at the very bottom end of what they had estimated. They were on time, quick, super respectful, and my wife is smiling ear-to-ear. So yeah, there's plenty of handymen you could hire who will probably do a great job. These two are the only ones I know of who will do that AND be good humans at the same time. Thank you so much, Mikes!
