We absolutely love coming here because the staff is so incredibly friendly and helpful. They all seem to genuinely care about your pets and you can't beat the prices. I wish they had a better treat selection, but they have enough that you can find something for even the pickiest of eaters. All in all, top of our list as favorite pet store and we look forward to bring our dogs here every month when it's time to restock.

The prices are good. It's small but that's what makes it great! It's not like some other stores with people that just need a job. They care about what they do so for my birthday I decided I was going to give back then take. Anything you can do to help is great! Whatever you passion is - pass it forward. Also they have great products and if your allergic to cats take an allergy pill first because some are hidden and free to roam. Over all I will choose a mom n pop before a chain.

The ship-to-store option is almost nowhere to be found on website, until you click on "show all rates" button in cart after you put in your zip code and city. Don't expect a product you saw on the website to be in store. I traveled quite far to the Lindenhurst location to pick up some frozen fish food that was available to order on their website. Of course, it's not there. I called the Carle Place location, and they don't have it either. Now, the staff at the store were quite friendly and tried to assist, but they just lacked the knowledge. Most questions I asked, I could not get an answer. The store is neat and a brief look at the fish department, showed a nice selection that I would purchase, but the staff needs more education. An employee at the Carle Place location told me that the website is linked to the Lindenhurst store location, so they should have the product. Like I said, they didn't and the employee seems to be incorrect.

If I could I would leave him with zero stars. I cannot support a store who takes inhuman euthanasia measures for these creatures. Not to mention he was very dismissive and lacks attention to detail. The store was filthy the tanks were gross. I don't understand how this store can be supported. Beware.

For a reasonable fee, you can have them come to your home to set your entire tank up. This was the TOPPER that made me give them their well deserved 5 stars. The owner actually babysat my little fish. Yes he did. Three years ago we bought our first house in Levittown and I didn't know what to do with my 20 gallon tank and five little fish who at that point had lived past a year. He said he would actually keep our fish in a separate tank until we set up the tank in our house. When we went back to pick them up a few days later, there they were, swimming around happily. And - NO CHARGE for the babysitting. Well, unfortunately, our tank is now empty but one day we will set it up again and I will be back to Total Aquariums. At about $400 you can sell the fishes Sex and the fish in the 400 500 and $600 bins are just absolutely freaking gorgeous the most amazing beautiful Japanese pure bread Koi that you've ever seen. I know this stuff. You will walk out of that with an absolute gem for your POND and it's a fun experience. I sent my sister with her kids.. it strange, because they have a huge aquatic waterfall feature in the corner and it's still something that I would pass by because the bushes are shrubs don't exactly spell out "KOI". This place is a very serious good quality place with the quality water and amazing staff. You don't have to spend a lot of money there's a lot of fish in the $100 bins that are just fine, in fact gorgeous. If you wanted to spend money. There is a way to do it here.
