I was a walk-in and handled well in order, approx 30 minute wait with 4 others in the waiting room when I arrived. Was here for a routine blood draw. Check in was easy, the secretary was cordial and efficient. They bring you back to what would be individual draw "rooms" (3 walls and a curtain), however the phlebotomist was just working out of one room and would call your name. The appearance was general boredom with the job, no real interaction other than name and birthday. She had earbuds in and I could hear random noises from under her hair. The blood draw itself was fine, she overshot the vein, so I anticipate a bruise, but she did get the vein after a slight adjustment. Overall it was a fine visit, the phlebotomist's lack of interest and overshooting the vein indicate to me it is just a job for her without the desire to do better. I will be back for future visits because of the convenient location and hours.

I am writing to express concerns about the patient experience at this location, which has become…read morechallenging since the departure of Ashley and Nadine. Specifically, I have observed that while generally a skilled phlebotomist, Andrea's patient check-in demeanor has been negative. On one occasion, patients waited for 25 minutes, leading one to leave. My attempt to address this with Regional Director Nicole Gray was not productive. Andrea returned from the back with her supervisor on speakerphone and, seemingly unfazed by the situation, exhibited unprofessional and rude behavior, including a dismissive verbalization of "I Don't Care!!!". This type of response is unacceptable, especially in a healthcare setting.I am also troubled by the handling of previous issues. I was informed that Nadine, who consistently demonstrated politeness, professionalism, and courtesy, was to receive an award. However, she was removed from this location and, to my knowledge, did not receive the promised recognition.Furthermore, my attempts to contact corporate have gone unanswered for several weeks. A separate, serious concern involves unsanitary practices at the LabCorp Catonsville location, where phlebotomists' extremely long hair extensions are allowed to come into contact with patients' arms.To resolve these issues, I propose the following:Immediate attention to Andrea's patient interaction skills, including training and clear expectations for professional conduct.Clarification regarding Nadine's departure and the status of her promised award.A prompt response from corporate regarding my previous communication.A review of hygiene protocols at the LabCorp Catonsville location, with immediate correction of the hair-related issue. As the patient, an experience at LabCorp should not result in distress. I am committed to working collaboratively to find another location to perform routine labs iand ensure a safe and positive experience. There is a pattern of unprofessionalism here. At this point, leaving a review and finding another LabCorp is the only recourse. Wishing everyone the best.

I found out I was pregnant very early and knew who the likely father was, but since we weren't in a…read morerelationship, he asked for confirmation that it wasn't the other person I'd recently been with. I approached my primary doctor about a prenatal paternity test, but she had no idea it was even possible. My OB-GYN was also unaware, claiming they'd never heard of paternity testing before birth. Despite this, I knew it was possible and did my own research, though information and reviews online were limited. I discovered that many TV shows use the company DDC for paternity testing, but I also found another company, Ravgen. Two labs near me offered prenatal paternity tests, both using Ravgen. I contacted one lab, went to a walk-in appointment, and filled out paperwork about my pregnancy. They only needed the alleged father's full name, birthdate, and address so Ravgen could coordinate testing near him since he lived out of state. I paid $1,700 upfront, and the lab drew five tubes of my blood to send to Ravgen. The next day, Ravgen called to inform me that there wasn't a lab near the alleged father--only one five hours away. For court purposes, he'd need to visit that lab, but for peace of mind, they could mail him an at-home cheek swab kit. I was frustrated since I'd already paid and preferred lab testing to avoid risks like errors or dishonesty. Ravgen assured me I could get a full refund if the kit hadn't been sent, but I chose to proceed with the at-home option. They contacted the alleged father, shipped him the kit, and he returned it via FedEx the same day. Two days after Ravgen received his sample, they confirmed the results would be ready within seven business days. On the sixth day, they called to inform me the results didn't match. They mailed me the official document but couldn't email it due to legal restrictions. They also noted the at-home test wouldn't hold up in court. In hindsight, I should've contacted Ravgen directly first to confirm whether lab testing was feasible for both parties. While the process was straightforward overall, knowing this upfront would've saved me some frustration.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE…read more The amount of emotional trauma this company caused us unreal. For my partners family doubts , we took a prenatal paternity test in October 2022 to help confirm to them he was indeed the father. He got results back the weekend of Thanksgiving in November 2022. Mind you, they called THE DAY BEFORE Thanksgiving knowing their office was going to be closed for a whole weekend, leaving bo room to even follow up in a timely manner about results being incorrect. They ONLY called the Biological father and NEVER notified me of anything even being given that MY BLOOD was drawn for this test. They reported that he was NOT the father and had bo chance of being the father. Finally after a weekend filled with complete torment and stress, I called the company, the guy said they don't mess up and that there was no possibility the lab did. Even while I was in distress he had absolutely no solution in helping, nor did he show sympathy. They also NEVER EVER MAILED any results or proof of the negative result test at all, even after being contacted MONTHS to send them to the fathers address and mine. I had to wait an ENTIRE 2 MONTHS to get an actual DNA swab test as soon as my son was born just for that TEST to CONFIRM the so called "not biological" father WAS INDEED the father. So I say all this to emphasize $1,500 DOWN THE DRAIN. For 2 months my partner was devastated and we essentially split up over this stupid false test until are son was born in January 2023. Below is the test we took from Paternity Lab Testing, they are amazing and work diligently ALL WHILE BEING ACCURATE.
