1969 Camaro Convertible. Engine build that Ron Newton and I agreed on $8,500.
March 2013 $4,000 deposit.
Ron blamed delay on parts but kept on asking for more money.
April 29 $2,000.
May 08 $2,000.
May 13 $2,000.
May 30 $1,000.
June 05 $1,000.
June 07 $2,000.
Cost $14,000. Never reached 500hp and took over 6 months to complete.
We asked Ron for engine specs and parts/parts number list.
Ron said he had it but would not give it up.
In response to my Google review and online posts.

Ron Newton is not the sole owner of Precision Racing Engines Call 604-985-6721 to discuss further instead of writing reviews. Call us.

Hello,
First of all, since there is no signature or name provided in your email, who I am communicating with? Given your opening comment, one may assume you are one of the partners in Precision Racing Engines. So before we discuss anything please let me know who you are.
I prefer communicating in this manner than calling the number you provided. This will document our communication as well as provide a clear and concise record on what is said, discussed and ultimately, decisions made.
Please excuse my reluctance in trusting anyone associated to Ron Newton or his businesses, Precision Valve & Crank or now aptly named Precision Racing Engines.
My experience with Ron (company representative/owner/partner) is exceedingly less than acceptable by any business standard let alone a customer satisfaction standard.
I am open to dialogue only if it is directed towards a resolution.
I hope you understand my position.
respectfully,
Randall Wong
The correspondence sent to me was from Dwayne. Apparently the silent partner, who replied on December 19, 2017 "This would be Dwayne. We are & always would work towards a resolution"
I replied, "Thank you for reaching out to me. What do you have in mind regarding a resolution?"
Dwayne replied, "Randy, What are you actually looking for to resolve this? Your old carb we do not have it , sold it or used it that went back w your engine & parts in a Joe Gibbs oil box"
NOTE: Take no responsibility as a business/owner for taking the customer's carb then deny knowing about it (see google review) or having it?
My reply, "Hi Dwayne,
Sorry for the tardy reply.
After much consideration and consultation it was decided that we would ask for a full refund.
We think that is fair proposition given the original price agrerment, 6 plus months wait and not providing the product that was initiallly agrred upon.
The numerous payments I made was requested by Ron which I supplied.

We belive that this is a satisfacrory resolve to the matter at hand and hope that you will find this agreeable.
Respectfully,
Randall
