1) Upsell Through Misrepresentation of Services…read more I came in for an oil change. Upon arrival, the staff tells me that there is sludge on the oil tank cap. He tells me that it is necessary for him to flush the engine before he is able to proceed. I say okay and was ushered back into my car. Within a minute, I go back out and ask the staff to not proceed with the flush. The staff says that he had already flushed the engine and that there was nothing he could do about it now. During the rest of the service, I ask more questions about the legitimacy of the service and the staff member tells me that the internet cannot be trusted. I then call the Vancouver Volkswagen dealership and confirmed my last oil change service date I did with them as well as mileage. The Volkswagen dealership relays that given the time and mileage between the oil change, that sludge formation was highly improbable and that if that was in fact the situation, that that would indicate a severe problem with the engine. I asked the staff if there was anything wrong with the engine, to which he says no. I argue that given the information provided that a flush was unnecessarily and that the staff had either misdiagnosed or mispresented the situation and service needed. The staff refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing. 2) Repeated refusals to honor agreed upon solutions Following the issues mentioned above, I spoke with the manager and he told me that he would refund the amount for the engine flush. He said that he would speak to his supervisor and that the refund will be processed the next day. The next day, I called back and the manager said that he could only refund half of the amount back. I was reluctant to the refund amount but agreed. Following the call, I posted a review on Google illustrating the interactions above. Half an hour later, the manager calls back and says "I saw your review on Google, no more refund for you", dishonoring yet another refund agreement.

I went there once to get my my oil leak checked out. It was obviously leaking cause I could see…read morethe oil drip from my engine onto the ground. They told me it was my oil sending unit and with parts and labour it would $70. I let them put it in and when I arrived home I was still seeing the oil dripping. I brought it back and they put it back on the hoist but said they couldn't see any oil leaking. Really? They fix cars for a living and can't even spot a dripping oil leak that any regular schmuck could see with naked eyes. If they couldn't see it actually dripping they should have been able to see the drips on the ground but they probably didn't even look for that. My rationale was that if they can't even see that there is a leak, I'm not even going to try and show them or have them try and fix my car again.

Absolutely 5 star servIce.They went through everything thing , took photos , went over the most problem areas to cosmetic showing us everything. They printed a copy for us and gave us an estimate for the repairs. Because of the work required and estimated cost of repair we did not purchase the car. I highly recommend anyone looking to purchase a used vehicle to get it checked here first. The cost was very reasonable and saved us a bundle. When it came time to pay he told I was not eligible for the discount because of a fine print detail. I believe it was you had to book online and not over the phone. He also had a crazy list of things he wanted me to do to pass inspection. Some of them were legit and I had the issues fixed, but some of the things were using his magical headlight defogger at over $100 for the service! I took it to a new shop and had the work done there. New windshield and brakes. Needless to say I never went back here again

If you really want someone to help you with your car/truck troubles or you need an expert opinion this is absolutely the wrong place to go. I had AC issues and I went to them couple of times and both times they procrastinated by saying either they did not have an expert available or fixing it would take a long while. I got another specific appointment for a day they agreed was good to have it looked at and rectify (I have a Honda Accord '06). They came back saying everything from the refrigerant to the compressor need to be replaced and gave me a $925 quote! There was a separate quote with original parts which went up to $3000 I don't exactly remember the number. Needless to say, I took it to another place and they just replaced the refrigerant liquid and it seems to work absolutely fine. Unfortunate that they had to be dishonest about something so basic. She ended up paying a little over $200 and to find that they couldn't do anything to fix it. The woman who works there did give us a one-way ride to downtown while we waited, but they weren't able to pick us back up which I think is such a weird way to do service and business. Ultimately, I'm not sure this is a place that I would recommend for you to go get your car fixed. It's on a weird industrial lot with a bunch of other taxi cars so perhaps it's where they do a lot of fleet services but maybe not necessarily for personal vehicles.

So pretty much they tires are not rotated properly switching the front to the back... Plus they never even called me to tell me that the car was done.. If I hadn't gone back to check myself I probably wouldn't have gotten my car back..... Simon was the dude who I talked to, nice guy and all but I find that this place lacks alot in their service and follow ups. The garage is tucked away on this small inside road off Minoru Blvd.. it's next to 2 other garages. The office is super messy with dust, junk and lots of papers. Typical small chinese garage. Not surprised with the effort. But disappointed in something just like simple tire rotation and installment.....
