I've been coming here for years!! These guys are honest, fast, reliable and don't try to upsell you!!! I love that I come in for an oil change and I get an oil change!! Not a list of other things they pressure you to get. Plus the history channel will keep you in the know in the waiting area. Very friendly!!

My invoice. $70 for an unnecessary scan. I blocked out my personal information

Do not go here even if it's your only option !!! I've gone to the one in Kearns for my oil changes and that was a good experience. I came to this location as it was close to my doctors appointment. Let them know my check engine light was on and wanted to see what was wrong with it. They said it was no change for the diagnostic which I was fine with obviously. They did the test, came out and said we got a few codes back and that they needed to do a smoke test. (I trusted them with no question as I've not had any issues with the other location.) The man who seemed to be the manager said it would be $70 to do the test and that he was quite positive the total cost of service wouldn't be more than $100. So I figured easy fix. Waited close to an hour and he told me it would be $465 dollars to fix the problem. A gas cap and a purge solenoid. WOW!! for a gas cap and a solenoid? With labor? I was more surprised that it went from $100 to $465 in a matter of an hour. First off if you Aren't sure don't quote it and second.. well that part is coming. I declined the service and started looking around. Called a few places and went to one close to home. Arrived, was greeted and helped immediately. They scanned the car and got codes, tightened the gas cap, rescanned it and my car was good to go. So I payed $70 to a place who wanted my money and didn't care whether my car was fixed or not and because I'm a woman they thought I'd be stupid enough to pay the almost $500. No I do not recommended this place because they don't care! They just want to benefit! The customer service was horrible & the lies were worse! Please make sure to ask questions people. Do not trust these scam artists!

About 3/4 of a gallon needed to be drained.

These guys never let me down! I've been to many shops, but this is the only place I go now. Honest, efficient, friendly!

Plus, I heard the manager Robert tell a customer that he didn't recommend doing the transmission flush she wanted to do because it wouldn't fix her problem.

My mechanic was skilled and quick, it only took him just a few minutes to change everything out and I was set to go. I've added them as a contact for future repairs, so I'm recommending them here for anyone else that needs auto servicing.

This will be long because these guys deserve a proper review. We were in town from Las Vegas and…read morewere staying in Provo. All the eletrical in our car went out we assumed we needed a battery which is something we change out every few years because Vegas summers are brutal. We changed it out but the battery light kept flashing on and off we thought we need to drive the car so the battery can juice up the car. We drove from Provo to SLC for a graduation and on our way back at around 9000 S. the electrical started going out again and we pulled over at a Maverick. We were told after making a call to a shop that its probably the alternator considering the battery change didnt fix the issue. They also told us that they werent available to take it until the next week which wasnt an option for us because we had to get back for work. I went on Yelp and Best Buds Mobile service popped up with 5 star reviews so I called. The gentleman that answered was genuine as explained that we thought it was the alternator. He gave me a quote that was within what I was willing to pay. I asked him if he had a number to a tow place so I can get it towed to them. He said "its ok we come to you". I was surprised but then "duh" it says "mobile" in their name. He also told me it would probably be about and hour and a half for them to repair. WHAT! It really did seem too good to be true. The shop we had previously called quoted us double what these guys quoted. They literally showed up within 30 min they arrived at that Maverick parking lot and probably less than the time frame he told me it would take them to fix it we were on our way back to Provo and now we are home and our car is running perfectly! These guys are a gem! I Googled the cost to replace the alternator and they were within the range. So Im going to say they are honest. I wish they were in in Vegas. But now we know if there are any car repair needs for us when in Utah or our family we will be reffering Best Buds Mobile Services. Thank you for the best auto repair service we have hands down ever had!

This was the first repair that was needed outside of my warranty and outside of VW. These guys were honest and straightforward about what was wrong and the cost and the recommendations they provided. They were responsive and communicated to me about the timeline in which it would be completed, when the part was delayed a day, they made sure I knew and I never had to call them for an update. Stress of a broken down car was as minimal as it could be and I will definitely return as the need arises. Thanks so much!!!

This is one of the first negative reviews I've ever written for a business, and I'm doing so after…read moremuch careful consideration because although I feel truly wronged, I dont want to make trouble for anyone. That said, having just made the first of many credit card payments for work I never would have had done given the full scope of what my vehicle needed, I feel compelled to prevent this from happening to anyone else. While the actual work done here seems fairly competent, the diagnostic process seems about as accurate as playing darts blindfolded. I brought my car in because it was creaking misfiring, and the check engine light was on. I told them that I believed my engine mounts were worn out and that I also needed a diagnoses for the misfiring. They told me that the cause for the misfiring was likely that my spark plugs and ignition coils were worn out, because that usually happens around 100k miles and my vehicle was past that. I agreed to have them replaced along with new engine mounts, to the tune of $2,600. I was told that after this my vehicle would be like a totally different car. The very next day, my car misfired again and the check engine light came back on. When I brought it back, they informed me that they don't have any way of knowing this fo sure, but I probably actually had a blown head gasket. I brought my car to a different mechanic shop who did a full and complete diagnostic from bumper to bumper and took photos of everything wrong with the car- from a blown head gasket to a leaking transmission to almost completely worn wheel bushings and a host of other problems totaling over $8,200 in addition to the $2,600 I had already paid at Red Rock Auto. Had I known this in the first place, I never would have paid $2,600 on a doomed old van that needed almost $11,000 in work done. I had to buy a new van and that $2,600 would have really helped with the down payment. I'm tempted to say that I feel duped, but I don't think there was any malice or fraud going on- just general laziness or incompetence in the diagnostic process that very negatively affected me.

But them suddenly one morning (just a few hours before kids' long awaited doctor's s appointment of course!) my Honda van won't start...it seemed like my battery was down. I called couple of mechanic shops but none of them could squeeze me in for same day check up. But when I called the State Automotive and explained them my situation, Dustin told me that they will do an inspection on my battery ASA I reach them and will change it if needed. Long story short...after going there I found out that the previous mechanic who changed the battery and gave me a "Napa" battery (found the info in the receipt), & then charged me for it and the service in 2017 actually DID NOT replace my original Honda battery from 2013 :/ When I asked, Dustin was super nice and took pictures of the old battery and wrote a description for me so I can show that to the old mechanic and texted me those later that day. I really appreciate the help and (quick) service they provided me that day, and thanks to them I was able to make to the doctor's appointment on time :) Thank you so much for all great service! Will definitely recommend them to my friends and family, and I'll be going back myself as well. #ServiceStarShoutOut
