Was PCSing from Texas to South Carolina. Car alternator broke down. I called a few places. This store answered their phone and was very courteous. I was so relieve they squeeze my repair in right away when they were doing services for other vehicles. If timing, punctuality, reliability, and service are important to you, Precision Tune Auto is not the auto repair shop you want. I called the day before to get an appointment and was told they do not make appointments and customers are seen on a first-come-first-served basis. I asked when they opened and was told 8:00 a.m. No problem. I arrived at 7:45 to find several other customers waiting. 8:00 comes and goes. 8:15 comes and goes. At 8:17 someone pulls up. Though he might have been doing his best, his efforts fell FAR SHORT of anything approaching passable customer service. When I was finally seen he could not provide a reasonable estimate of when my car could be seen. Business must be good if it can be operated so sloppily. I have been here before. Management or ownership may have changed. Try them if you like. I will not be returning. read more

I took my vehicle to Precision Tune because I knew I needed a couple of tires, an alignment, and an oil change. Everybody seemed pleasant when I arrived, and one of the guys started me on the ride straight out of a comedy movie. He had a beard that hadn't been trimmed in 15 years. He told me he was the "Ball joint expert.". As we left the building to go look at my truck, he started in...from across the way. "I can already see you need a ball joint job! It's the way I see the tire leaning." So I already knew THAT would be in the diagnosis. I was picked up and proceeded to have lunch with a friend. During lunch, the call came in with the bad news. Tires, oil change, alignment, brakes AND ROTORS (all around), and A BALL JOINT JOB! Total cost...$2900.00! I told them to just do the tires, oil change, and alignment. One week later, they finally replaced the two tires and performed the oil change. I could pick up my truck. $651.97! They couldn't do the alignment until the front end work was completed. I took my truck elsewhere and was told the following. "All of the ball joints are fine. The suspension is fine. Your front end is fine. I asked about the brakes. They said I needed brakes. i asked about the rotors. Rotors were fine. I paid $275.00 for the needed work. I didn't pay the extra $2000.00 that Precision Tune wanted for unneeded repairs. Do yourself a favor and when you get to Precision Tune, keep driving. read more

We have been trusting Precision Tune with our vehicles since 2006. They are always open and honest, and they stand behind their work. Recently we chose to take our Kia Soul in with some engine trouble. It was covered under a drivetrain warranty and while this wasn't a "preferred" location as far as the warranty company was concerned, they took good care of us and kept us informed along the way. BEWARNED AND STAY AWAY!! Center-No: 107-29 Douglasville GA. April 23 2018 I went in at about 8:30 PM and did not leave till 1 PM for a brake job, oil change and air filter. My previous visits to Midas shops for same service would only take about an hour and a half but here it took over 4 hours. After they took my car back, a lady came in complaining about her brake job. They told her that the problem was faulty brake pads. They fixed hers and had her out in about an hour. They put my car on and off the lift 4 times before I finally got to leave. After multiple test drives they claimed problem was faulty brake pads, HUMMMM just heard that be told to the lady complaining about bad brake job. Once they finally got it completed, the tech told me the reason it took so long was a direct result of them installing the brake pads INCORRECTLY. REALLY, they installed the pads incorrectly and took them HOURS to figure this out. I did not even get an apology from them for being so incompetent at their job. I called and complained to corporate as soon as I left this location. I left a message and someone called me back in about 5 mins. They told me they would have district manager call me back. Its been over 24 hours and no call yet. read more

I have been patronizing this auto center for quite some time and have mostly been pleased with the service until recently. I came in and had a remote programmed for my car. I had to come back multiple times and bought a new battery before the technician figured the unit was no good. I called and asked for a refund since the service was completed on a non-working piece of equipment. The manager was rude, condescending and refused to give me the owners name so I could complain directly. He actually said it was "the car's fault." Like I said, I have been coming there a while for maintenance on multiple vehicles. So I really don't appreciate his attitude and unwillingness to help. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. They lost a loyal customer over $10. read more

Honest, affordable, and friendly. All of the employees I've dealt with are nice and know their stuff. No upselling here. If there's something wrong with your vehicle, they will tell you and discuss all options with you. No pressure and you don't feel like someone is blowing smoke either. Really enjoy the staff. You can tell there's a good dynamic among the group. They work well together to get you in and out in a timely manner. You won't find better service anywhere in my opinion. honestly I would never recommend anyone get there car serviced at this place. I went to get an oil change for my car apparently they didn't even change the oil. I had maybe 2,000 miles before I needed a new and my car broke down in the middle of the expressway mind you I never had any issues with my car before. I wish I could of gave a NO STARS , I was the first one there I showed up at 7:30 they opened at 8 am . I needed ac work which was going to cost me 1000 or more to get fixed . They took my keys and said come back in an hour so I went to Chick -Fila and ate came back in an hour car is still sitting there and the customers who came in after me there cars are all in the shop or the work was completed . I ask the guy and he said I was next even though I was first and come back in an hour so I did I went to the gym and worked out for an hour and when I returned my car was still in the same spot . I asked the guy if my car was done he said I was next again , I said I would like my keys . As a female customer that does not know anything about a car they REALLY took advantage of me. Went in for a oil change and they came up with all kinds of issues. Had my oil changed and I left. Next thing I know my car is pouring out oil. So I take it back in and they FORGOT to put a plug in. then he says my radiator is leaking real bad. It's pouring out. REALLY!!! They replaced the radiator. So when he found out it was THEIR WORK, he switched the story and said I have a bad water pump. Now I don't know anything about cars but I do know car has not ran HOT since my radiator was fixed, LAST YEAR. If my WATER PUMP was bad, wouldn't my car run hot and need water? read more

The best service here I have ever received. I have been going there for 15 years. The previous people were just as great. I just used them last week and today. They were up front and took care of my issue. My recommendation to anyone using them is to understand that they are humans running a business that sometimes you may be confronted with an issue that needs expertise that sometimes encounter minor setbacks when your car just might be a POS. Give your mechanics a break and not go ballistic. The best service ever when you understand that it is all about you and your issue will be resolved. Horrible service. Took these people 8 days to get me my vehicle back. It was actually ready in 5 days but no one called to let me know like they were suppose to. Chose them for no other reason than they were the cheapest and I was desperate. Never heard of them and was just praying they were honest. I am so glad I found them. They were honest evening knowing I was in a bind. They repaired my car in less than 24 hrs and it was over $300 CHEAPER than the other repair place. My husband and I took our vehicles to the Precision Tune on Stewart Parkway in Douglasville, GA, for years. We moved away for several years and have recently moved back. I had my vehicle towed there because my check engine light came on and the car would not run. When I got to the counter the owner, Danny, remembered me and my vehicle. Will not ever go to these guys again I had my breaks and rotors replaces on my car.....so I thought... they did replace my rotors but not the breaks. took back my car back five time and they kept telling me they were fine. I took it to someone else and they said no your breaks are not good and need them replaced. I took it back to Danny and they did finally replace them.....with NO apology. if you go to these guys make sure they do what you ask of them. I spent a lot of money to have a job done and trusted them to do the job......and they are apparently not concerned with safety of their customers. read more
