Please don;t go here. The customer service is horrible. Young guy at front desk is very sarcastic. I use to go to this shop before 2016 with my old car and kids vehicle. If you are a female; they will make up lies about the issue going on with your car just to get extra money out of you. Got a diagnostic which is 67.00 and they told me it was my CV joint that's making the loud noise. I took my car to another mechanic and found out this was not true. Waste of time and money. Charged me for a diagnostic test of $95. Although I told them the issue. Troubleshooting was basically telling me to take it to the dealership. Anybody could've said that for frThey couldn't forgive it out. I had to call them to get this information. Then charged 3.5% fee on top of that for a CC order. They could've covered the bill since they already robbed me of $95. Live and learn Customers please beware. Rip off artists. As my wife so eloquently called them. CROOKS!! I neglected to indicate I'm a 78 years old Black Female who has used ABS services for last 4 years...I wear a mask due to being treated for cancer...The way I was spoken to about removing parts from my car after they didn't have the common courtesy of talking with me about their findings before repairing without my consent was shocking...They never would have thought of addressing a White Female that way if she had complained...As I stated in first write-up, I'm FINISHED with ABS...Praying my comments will be used by them to improve their communications with all customers, but especially customers of color. read more

We has this towing company tow our car after some battery issues. The man who came out attached the equipment to my AXEL and caused major damage! They "repaired" part of the issue but it was still making a horrible sound. we reported it to them and was told that they fixed the damage they created and would do nothing else. Well, two weeks later the car was immobile. The damage was far worse than they admitted to and now want us to pay them to fix it. Never showed up! My insurance company called them to come pick up my car and my ETA was 12:30p. It is now 5p and they never showed up at all. My insurance company called another company 45 minutes ago and they just showed up, thankfully. But ABS is going on 5 hours late. I don't think they are coming. ABS is a auto repair facility that I highly recommend. A lot of times females feel intimidated and taken advantage of when they deal with service businesses of this type, however that is truly not the case with ABS. So apparently car repairs shops that service VW's are tough to come by in Douglas Co., however, ABS came through for me at the last minute. My previous shop totally let me down when they decided that working on European cars was too much for them to handle. ABS replaced my mass air flow sensor and diagnosed it within a days time. Their prices are reasonable and the staff here in courteous as can be. read more

My sister was visiting from Florida during the christmas holidays and her car cut off several times in douglasville. We wanted to take it to the dealer but for fear that it would cut off again and leave my sis stranded, a family member referred us to ABS. They said they would charge is a diagnosis fee and that would apply to the cost of the repair. Well, their diagnosis came back and they said there was nothing wrong with the car. They told me there were no error codes in the computer before they reset it and there were no error codes after. Then I showed them how to view error codes by turning the ignition three times and the computer displayed an error code. I'm no the mechanic and I shouldn't have to explain to a mechanic how to read error codes. Only then did they try to resolve the problem, which they were unable to resolve. They still charged my sister for the diagnosis fee. The car cut off within 20 min of leaving their place. My sis took the car to the dealer, and they located the problem within 10 minuets and had the car running smoothly ever since. read more

Called AAA for towing and they sent these contractors out (ABS)and they put my car on the flat bed by placing their hooks on the crash cans. As a result they damaged both crash cans( per my mechanic).Denied doing anything to damage my car and will not pay to get it fixed. I had to call AAA again and Requested to not have these contractors dispatched so they sent their own towers who took it to my mechanic. That is when I was able to get the problem diagnosed ...Now they have to search around for one of the parts as the maker doesn't have any in stock. A big mess! read more

Very disappointment and I know the owner of the company his wife about 15 years ago I brought my car in a few times but I remember knowing him so my car has a little bit problems with it and I told two three people on the phone what was going on with the car sent it to them and it didn't need a battery I told them already and they sent my car back to me where the inside lights don't work blinkers ain't working and it don't crank up on its own so I had to get another tow truck to send it back up there again now this is the second time and the charge was $238 for just diagnosed it and for a a fuse so I sent it back up there now it's been like 10 days already for this little bit of stuff happened so then I wrote them a letter personal in the car and told him exactly what is going on with the car so they would exactly have a piece of paper so they wouldn't know for a fact well they charged me $300 something dollars for a couple things a battery and fix a wire that has an animal got into the car and towards one wire up well went up there to go get my car my windshield is not working it was raining my lights inside my car and it's not working and this is kind of like crazy that I almost paid 500 or something dollars to get really nothing done and still not satisfied with everything is still not completely right read more

They are extremely unprofessional, i called to get a tow between an oncoming traffic ramp on the highway and the highway which isn't the safest place to be but the battery was drained, i call them they don't tell me a time they said they will call me when they are on the way no one called so i called another tow company after 5 minutes do you know this motherfu*ker really cut me off and honked in front of me because i called another truck that was faster?! ABS Automotive & Towing is a very unprofessional service. I requested through my insurance company for a tow truck and they contacted ABS and requested a dispatch. However, ABS did not adhere to the ETA and I was waiting for almost 2 hours for what was supposed to be a 75 minute wait. I contacted my insurance company who told me that ABS informed them that they were caught up on another job and will not be here for another 90 minutes. I then contacted ABS and spoke with a representative who told me that my insurance company was not informing me correctly and that they told USAA that they would not be arriving until 11:40am due to the time when they got the job to dispatch a tow truck from my insurance company. It turns out that ABS was dishonest with the information they provided to me and my insurance company had to drop them and sent another tow truck from another company. Complete unprofessionalism from ABS. I would never recommend this company or there services to anyone in Georgia. Worst customer service I have ever received! read more

2 Days before my tags were due, my check engine light came on! I had to get it fixed and quick so it could pass emissions and I could renew my tag. I was recommended this place by a friend. ABS replaced a new battery with another. When we took the battery back because it was under warranty, it tested good on 2 separate tests. ABS didn't return our calls for an explanation. We took the tests to them for an explanation. None. We replaced the battery they put in and returned their battery to them. Was out labor costs. We won't go back. read more

While working on a job about an hour from home, I stopped at a gas station, and my vehicle would not crank. I had to get home, and didn't really know what to do. I found ABS nearby which interested me because they do both towing and repairs. Since it was mid-afternoon, I had resigned myself to renting a car and heading home. The folks at ABS saved me a great deal of time, money, and hassle, because they stayed after hours to make sure the truck was fixed, so I could get home without renting something and wasting half a day coming back to get my vehicle the next day. To top it all off, this happened the week of Christmas! Repair was fairly priced, much cheaper than it would have been back home. Even short-staffed, they stayed to take care of me, a customer who may never break down in this area again. I'm thankful to have ended up with ABS. While visiting from Virginia I had to contact a towing company after hitting a pot hole and flattening my tire. Fortunately for me ABS sent Andy to the rescue. I had my car lined up at abs? Three times!! after buying new tires from them. It still continued to wear tires on the edges. After the third time I took it to the dealer and they lined it up after they moved the subframe on the front end. They showed me the graphes of how far it was out before they started. I have both printouts which I showed Lamar but he would do nothing. There was no way they could get it in alignment without moving the front subframe and that is why I think Lamar never gave me a printout. He said he would have if I had ask. His guy made a mistake and Lamar would not stand behind his work. It cost me an extra $ 1,100 dollars for them not to know what they were doing and not standup after the fact. He is a crook as far as I am concerned. No integrity what so ever. I have pictures of my tires as this process went along. He is wrong but won't admitt it.
