I contacted Spradling Monument to get them to create a matching footstone. When Mr. Spradling met me at the cemetery, I asked him if the flaw in the headstone could be fixed. To my surprise, he told me yes! His company not only fixed the flaw, they did not charge me for doing so. By April 17th, the rest of the work was still not done, and we reached out to ask for an estimated time. He said his truck broke down and was in the shop but would keep giving us days he would come by...and then never show. The last message we sent was on May 12th, asking if he were coming as he said he would that day - we haven't heard back. My husband was being very polite the whole time, considering we had given all the money upfront (a mistake, in hindsight). We understand that delays happen, but it is not professional at all to provide deadlines and not communicate when things go awry - every time he didn't show up when we expected him, my husband had to reach out first. Receipts attached. As I've said, it's a real shame about this because they did good work on the turf and bed borders. We were really looking forward to seeing the rest, but as we told him if he didn't show up again, we had to hire someone else to complete the work. We're probably not going to see the remaining $800, either, since he ghosted us. EDIT: he responded after this review and sent a team to pull out shrubs. I changed the review to 3 stars because we still had to hire another company to do the other half of the job, and he didn't give any refund for that work not done by his team.
