I purchased a new Ford F-150 several years ago. I wanted leather upholstery but the upgrade included a bunch of other expensive options that I didn't want. The dealership suggested that I purchase a Roadwire leather kit and have L & S install it. I did just that and the results were impeccable. Recently, the Mrs and I took our 23-year-old Toyota 4-Runner to them. L & S replaced the carpeting and headliner since the originals had been damaged by water intrusion caused by a leaking sunroof. They completely stripped the interior and disinfected it prior to installing the new carpet and headliner. Our " baby" (which we purchased new in 1999) is gorgeous. Don't trust your vehicle (auto, truck, boat, or aircraft) to amateurs. L & S is the ONLY place to take it. Not only is the quality of their work superb, but they're the nicest guys that you'll ever want to meet.

I had Corvette seats recovered with my supplied leather covers. Installed covers fine, but charged $60 for respraying seat tracks, which they did a poor job of, I didn't ask for or authorize this when I dropped seats off. Weren't paint prepped well at all. Next, paid 5k for new truck interior, power 60/40 leather seats that were not installed well or at comfortable ride height, otherwise, good work. Next had exercise equipment recovered, good job. Next paid to have another truck interior done, $1100, seats, door panels visor, headliner...good work except for seat track paint job again. Next went to buy patio furniture seat foam. Pricey but that's the nature of good seat foam. Next had overhead console recovered.. good job. Next went in to have truck seats recovered, after trying to decide what materials to use, I sensed some attitude issues with Lee, part owner. I asked if he would rather I take my business elsewhere to which he answered "yeah, I spend a lot of time with you and don't get a lot in return". That's cold after all the coin I've dropped at L&S in my opinion. So I said, "well I'm glad I asked then" and left never to return. Debated leaving a review but I've grown weary of disrespect in my interactions with peeps, and Lee disrespected me imo, based on past business done with minimal interaction in my judgement... Guess me being careful not to pick the wrong seat fabric on these seats like on the $1100 truck job was more than he could bear. He sold me a velour fabric that was so grippy, I had to lift myself up to get in...unlike the stock velour that was softer and easy to slide across while being seated. Anyway Lee, you surprised me with your behavior after all our completed business that I NEVER complained to you or anyone else about till now. I had considered just buying a new seat, but figured I should at least investigate the cost of just getting it recovered. I did some research and found Broadway Upholstery here in Gainesville. I have driven past the place countless times as it is on one of my routes between home and work, but never realized it was even there. I will chalk that up to it just being a place that I have never needed before, so it doesn't fit into my visibility. So I went in and talked to the guys there, showed them the seat, and they said it would not be a problem and gave me a quote that I found to be quite reasonable. Brought the seat in the next day, and they had it recovered in a couple of hours. I also looked at some of the other work that they were doing in the workshop, and their craftsmanship was excellent. It looks as good as new! The vinyl covering is thicker than it was originally, which means it should last at least as long as the original did. A great job, and I definitely recommend these guys for your recovering needs.

Based on reviews alone, I immediately reached out to Ernesto and he answered on the first try! After explaining the situation, he agreed to review pics. Within 5 minutes he responded with a thorough explanation of the items authenticity, and provided recommendations on next steps to restore. He told me it was a greay opportunity for a one of a kind piece of furniture. I asked him for a quote and jumped at the opportunity to schedule the work. The quote was that reasonable. I figured what did I have to lose? We scheduled an appointment to complete the work within the week. His business is completely mobile which is an added plus. He arrived on time with tools and equipment. He estimated 2 1/2 hours to complete the job - it was completed in two hours and 15 minutes. I watched the entire process as he transformed dirty, damaged leather and brought it back to life. Absolutely fascinating melting leather, sanding, buffing, dying. I hope I'm not giving away trade secrets!! It was like magic to say nothing of how charming, neat, professional, and courteous Ernesto is. it was the most delightful experience with a contractor that I have had in a very long time. I highly recommend Ernesto for his deep domain expertise in this niche leather restoration market - absolutely incredible. The job was completed in about 4 hours like quoted, and the price felt fair for the amount of work done. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is there are a couple small imperfections along the edges (looks like minor tooling marks). Nothing major, but noticeable up close. Overall still solid work and definitely worth it if you need upholstery repairs done.
