I used Ricks Service for the seasonal service of my Mastercool AC on my rental home. Being out of…read morestate, I relied on the professionals to service and maintain the unit as agreed upon. This was not done. It appears the water was simply turned off and on, but no cleaning or maintenance was completed. Some problems were actually created by the service. Here are the issues I found after having a "professional" examine the unit. Here is a list of the issues I have with the service work that was done very poorly, and even damaging. 1. As the tenants were moving out, I went by and saw the ac was leaking water bad. They were told the pan was rusted so that's just how it was. In looking at it, the pads were clogged and never cleaned nor changed or suggested to be done. I had asked specifically for this to be checked and changed if needed. A rusted out pan was not the problem nor was a solution provided. This situation resulted in a large amount of water and leaking water daily. 2. The overflow hose was directed to spray directly into the fan, which makes no sense and can create so many issues, including rot and rusting of the AC unit, ducting, and surrounding structures. 3. Almost 2 inches of dirt and silt was in the bottom of the tray. There is no way the accumulation occurred within 3 months time. This shows it was not cleaned out, and I wonder if it ever was for any of the previous service calls. All of this resulted is very low airflow, water wasted and potential damage to many aspects of the home. I do not see any way these are remotely acceptable, and they are actually negligent. I feel these are very strong reasons to leave an appropriate review, especially as I was never contacted back for an explanation or attempt to rectify

When I started searching for help with a 20-year-old HVAC system with outdoor AC unit…read morenon-functional for 2 years, everyone else immediately said "replace". Glenn (owner) was the only one who took time in his replies to help me check a few things to verify that it was not a simple fix. That impressed me. We decided to replace the system, it was obsolete and had multiple serious issues. Glenn helped us choose the perfect system, and at the busiest time of the year, managed to fit us into the schedule. Efraín did a beautiful installation inside and out, with custom sheet metal work to make a perfect fit. The system is fantastic and the price was unbeatable. They'll even show me how to do the annual maintenance myself, instead of trying to sign me up to a service that I won't need. That's integrity. Efraín is the lead technician, has 21 years experience, and is a perfectionist. That is evident in his attention to detail and refusal to give up if there is still an unresolved issue. This house had a long-standing issue with modified drains and plumbing vents that had defied diagnosis, but Efraín would not give up. He solved the mystery that no one else had, finding a vent that had been mistakenly cut and capped long ago. Jake is a young technician learning from the master, and he is very hard working and thorough. They reconstructed that vent and restored the function of those drains. They did a magnificent job and left the house feeling renewed and loved. All the while, I was asking questions about anything and everything, and Efraín did not mind answering them and helping me learn how to care for things going forward. I do love this house and it matters to me who works on it and the energy they bring. Glenn, Efraín and Jake brought a degree of care, compassion, and expertise that gave me tremendous peace of mind. They will be my first call for any and all plumbing or HVAC needs.

When our hot water heater suddenly broke down we initially contacted a few of the bigger plumbing…read moreservices in Albuquerque. We also contacted Lowe's about buying a new water heater from them that their contractor would install. Long story short: we couldn't believe how expensive the quotes were - especially when it came to bringing everything up to code (our old water heater was installed before the latest codes, and when we purchased our home in 2016 our home inspector never mentioned any code issues with it .) One company that came out to give us a quote added an extra $1200 just to bring everything up to code. A project we expected to cost about $1500-$2000 quickly grew to nearly double that amount. In frustration I posted the job on Home Advisor one evening... and in about one minute I got a call from Rick at R&R. What impressed me right away was: he completely understood what we needed, he agreed with me that some companies were overcharging, and he said he'd come over and look at the job the next day. And he did just that. His quote was thorough and fair, and we were happy to hire him. He returned with a second plumber and they worked quickly and efficiently to deliver and install a new water heater and make sure it was up to code. It was truly a pleasure to work with R&R - we plan to use them for all our plumbing needs in the future. It's wonderful to work with a professional who not only knows what to do but also cares about tailoring the project to work for the customer. THANK YOU R&R

They came by almost 2 weeks ago, and I asked politely no fewer than 5 times to get my quote. I was told that they would get it to me ASAP, but their definition of soon is very different than mine. Especially after they already went through the trouble of writing it up! All they had to do was spend 20 seconds writing an email. I guess that's just a bridge too far for some people. I took it as an indication of dysfunction over there after my second request, but I wanted to see what they came in at so I could compare it to the other quotes I got. This whole experience with them has been pretty ridiculous.

BE AWARE!! If we…read morecould give zero star, we would. We had such high hopes from reading all the reviews. Unfortunately, All Out Plumbing and Mechanical missed the mark to do major work for sewer and pipe replacements. When we hired them to replace the new pipes, they didn't remove all the old pipes from the crawl spaces until we pointed out to them to have the old pipes removed. They also demanded payment right after they replaced the pipes without inspecting if the pipes were working properly. All Out Plumbing and Mechanical is a very bad company in NOT KEEPING a one-year warranty to inspect all plumbing works and redo camera video as their promise. When we contacted them a few months later regarding the one-year warranty, they kept pushing our appointment out... beyond the one year. They canceled our one-year warranty inspection appointment at the last minute. Many times to reschedule appointments a few more weeks out again and again... We were beyond frustrated by their many excuses on why they could not come nor follow through with their one-year warranty contract agreement. Likewise, they were unhappy when we tried to follow up on setting up an appointment. We tried contacting the owner but he ignored our letters... and, out of the blue, without communication and confirmation of any appointment, All Out Plumbing dispatched a technician to open an outline on our property and did a very brief camera of our line, without our knowledge (less than 15 minutes from set up to clean up before verbal exchange with tenant who did not expect to see All Out Plumbing with some device down the pipelines). Until today, All Out Plumbing has not release the follow-up video of our pipelines nor provided any recommendations. Anyhow, it is sad that we have to post this review since we do not want to say bad things about a company, but we feel obligated to share with the public that you should be careful if you hire All Out Plumbing as they are NOT professional and NOT trustworthy.

I chose to deal only with companies who would provide a free estimate. I arranged for an estimate from Western Mechanical and was told nothing about a fee, or I wouldn't have had them come out. It took over a week to get an appointment. Then on the appointed day, the tech called looking for my location in Rio Rancho where he was sent by their dispatch, even though my building is in downtown Albuquerque. It was another week before they rescheduled at the correct location, and when they did, instead of the requested estimate the tech did a hasty unauthorized repair on my unit and charged me $198.49. Since no fees or repairs were authorized, I made multiple calls to Western to question the charge but could not get past the receptionist to talk to anyone and was put on endless holds. Only after receiving a threat to be sent to collections, was I finally able to speak to accounts payable. They claimed they had informed me of the fee in advance, which is completely untrue as I would not have agreed to it, and were unwilling to budge on the charge which I never authorized. If you choose to work with Western Mechanical, beware of hidden fees and be sure to get all costs in writing up front.
