They had availability in the next week, and we agreed they would come on July 8th. I would be charged $80 for the service call, which I agreed to pay. The service tech showed up on time, diagnosed the problem as a faulty control board. Soon after a tech named Brian texted with me and asked for some more details on the model number as well as some pictures so he could get me a quote. I sent them on July 12th. I was happy knowing I had what seemed to be a responsive pool company that would help me with my issues, however..... That was the last time I had communication with them. I reached out several times via text and by calling the office. Zero response via text and the office always promised a manager would call. But they never once did. I finally called today (July 23rd) and asked for a refund on my service call. But it turns out they had never charged me. I do not attribute this to their kindheartedness, but rather to their disfunction as a business. I am not sure why they decided to waste my time and ignore me, perhaps my job just wasn't worth their time. But in the end, I have come to this conclusion: it is my opinion that if you need pool service in the greater Memphis area, look elsewhere. I am already working with another company that treats me with just a little bit like a valuable customer.

Established initial contact and explained the situation, and they said they'd begin maintenance. A couple of weeks go by and my realtor calls me and tells me he's at the house making sure some of the closing items we had listed were completed and that the pool looked like "no one had tended to it." Water was low, bottom was covered in leaves. Clear Image said they made several visits between late October to late November, but upon arriving, our pool was almost 2 feet below the skimmer, the pumps were still running (sucking air), and the bottom of the pool had about 3" of leaves on it, which took several hours to vacuum. I ended up spending $200 to replace some internal parts on one of our pumps, but fortunately, they hadn't burned up. I asked them why the pool was so low, why there were so many leaves, etc., and they said there was a storm the night prior. Long story short, we spoke on the phone and disagreed with our current $600+ in charges - the invoice carried 4 visits, one of which supplied no work because the water at the house was turned off. We agreed to deduct labor for the last visit because it was apparent to us that no work had been done, so I ended up shelling out $450 just to be done with them. We moved onto another company that's been taking care of our pool and we can't be happier. That was in December - mid March, we receive another invoice from Clear Image Pools in the mail for just over $200 for services [supposedly] rendered in NOVEMBER. Upon closer examination, this invoice was for the work that we had originally agreed to omit over the phone IN DECEMBER. I followed this invoice up with an email, outlining the specifics of the conversations we'd already had regarding the balance of the invoice, the agreement we made to not charge for the last visit, and the check for the agreed-upon amount with clearing date. Their only response was "...Throw away we will write it off," speaking of the latest "invoice" sent 4 months after the fact. It's apparent they're unorganized, and we were far from satisfied from the work they did. Our new company arrived, surveyed the low state of the pool, and identified our leak IN ONE VISIT, helped us cap off the main drains, only run the skimmers, and provided new parts for the pump NEXT DAY without hardly a finger lifted on my part. Very hands-on, and on top of things. Clear Image is NOT. Avoid.

He specifically came up with the idea and offered to come out to my client's home ahead of time to clean the hot tub and put a temporary cover on to protect it from the weather. This was an incredible gesture that not only impressed my client and I, but the potential buyer of the home preparing for inspections.
