We’re a two-technician family owned and operated business based in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood, and we service both the city and suburbs.
We provide basic tuning services, of course, but most pianos need more than just tuning to play at their best. We also provide action regulation, voicing, cleaning, repair/parts replacement, climate control, and finish repair services.
Pianos serve many purposes for many people, and we’re happy to discuss your needs and what services are appropriate for your instrument, whether it’s a hand-me-down for a beginning student, a concert grand for a major event or recording, or anything in between.
History
Established in 2004.
Technicians/owners Anika and Mike, both musicians, began learning piano technology as apprentices for a well-established technician in the North Shore area. In 2004, the opportunity arose for Anika and Mike to completely take over operations of that business, and nearly fifteen years later, they’re still at it, providing quality piano service to families, schools, churches, and concert venues throughout Chicagoland.
Meet the Business Owner: Anika and Mike B.
Anika has been a professional piano technician for over fifteen years, and in addition to doing general tuning and repair work, she’s our finish repair specialist. She holds music degrees from Capital University, DePaul University, and the Kodály Institute on Kecskemét, Hungary. When she’s not working, Anika enjoys cooking, cycling, and yoga.
Mike’s experience includes several years as a shop technician at a large piano dealer, where he prepared new and used pianos for delivery to new owners. He is also familiar with several digital player piano systems. Mike earned a music degree in vocal performance, and sings professionally in several small choral groups in Chicago.
