They examined each tooth and gave me an estimate for $5000.00. I went and git the tooth pulled. Then a couple days ago a filling fell out and they said the wouldn't fill it until I got a hygiene cleaning for a $1000.00 before they would fix the filling. They tell you the xrays are free but that's nothing but an incentive to make money. Also I had a cleaning 7 months before at my regular dentist. I've never had dentists tell me they wouldn't fix a filling. This is a big money business. If you don't have the money to pay their exorbitant bills, don't go!!!

They started taking all kinds of x-rays and I questioned why and I was told that the Dentist would not see me without a complete set of x-rays. I told them I had recently had x-rays taken at another facility and I could have them sent, but was told they had to have their own. When the Doctor came in he wanted to do more xray. I refused and he explained that a tooth had been broken when the bridge came out and he wanted to do a more advanced exam. I asked him to please just reglue the bridge in. He did with the understanding that he would not guarantee anything once I walked out the door. It lasted less than a week, cost $168 and today I received a bill for another $138 for a panoramic x-ray. What a scam. I am extremely upset. Over $300 to reglued a bridge that lasted less then a week. I will never set foot in an Aspen Dental again and will tell everyone of my experience.

I tried for months and spoke to the "office manager" and many other staff who said I would receive a return phone call. Finally I received a phone call and was told they would return less than 1/3 of the money that I paid. We were only half-way into her treatment. She had 2 braces on!! Since that phone call - over 2 weeks ago- when I agreed to their ridiculous amount to simply be done with them - and I still haven't received any of the money! Once they have your money- it's over- don't expect communication or anything! It's a shame because the orthodontist and his techs are all very nice but the overall company is run very poorly!

I'd post a picture, but I'm honestly just too embarrassed about my smile still looks. My old orthodontist, just prior to moving to Ohio in 2019, had a horrendous mess to fix and did it all in 19 months. I was so happy with where I was at! Cosmetically, Dr. DeAngelo's task wasn't even a tenth as bad as what the first guy had to deal with. I feel like he cheaps out the adhesive to attach the braces. I had brackets break off multiple times. I never has that happened even once with my old orthodontist. We also tried rubberbands, with minimal success for a variety of reasons, including my own inability to wear them during the day. I'm not sure why we went this route at all... here again, my California orthodontist fixed a giant mess without so much as a single rubberband. Maybe Dr. DeAngelo's techniques are just out of date? That's my guess, but I honestly don't know for sure. I said it plain as day when we started treatment, and hinted at it a couple of times during treatment... when Dr. DeAngelo's methods were dragging on and on and on, I really wish he would have just called my old doctor to get my records and find out what worked so well there. Would that have been so hard? It would have saved us both a lot of time. I don't know why he was so resistant to doing that... hubris and pride I suppose? I have no other explanation for the resistance on doing that and I'm sure my old orthodontist would have been happy to talk with Dr. DeAngelo. So here I am, three years later... my smile is still messed up, I am out thousands of dollars, I have new cavities to address due to my teeth being compromised with braces for so long, and now I get the added fun of hunting for a new orthodontist. Lucky me. Dr. DeAngelo not only failed to get the job done with a very generous amount of time, but was also incapable of changing course or thinking outside the box (or picking up the phone) when his preferred method failed to get results.

The first words out of their mouths at EVERY visit are "You need a new x-ray!!! You can get an x-ray on Monday and then come back Tuesday, and they will tell you that a new x-ray is needed before further treatment. One time the office manager said that my current x-rays were acceptable, but then the hygienist told me I needed a new one. It is a scam to build up your fee. It costs you about an extra $300 but costs them basically nothing to perform the x-ray. Pure profit to them.

I was there for 3 hours for an initial appointment/consult, the first hour of which was the wait just for x-rays. The most egregious thing for me was the pricing. The true pricing is very different from what is on the website. Now, to be fair, this is a brand, and that could be the fault of the company at large. However, the doctor should be putting pressure on them to fix said site as it is deceptive and I'm sure hurting his business. (I have posted an image of the actual pricing board.) On top of the pricing being doubled what was expected, the doctor also wanted me to go to another dentist to take care of all the fillings I need FIRST, before he would do my extractions and partials. Sorry, but if I had the money for that, I wouldn't be needing the dentures in the first place.
