Messed my appointment up waited 63 days for and they scheduled it in Niles not in boardman where I said too so waited another over 30 some days and my appointment was at 8 am and waited over a hour ,they are terrible and last time I can over two years ago ,they pulled my tooth and my jaw bone was exposed and they had to saw it down multiple times over and over when it was going thru healing process ,they need to do better seriously it's ridiculous and ignorant,took a whole office of people before me and my appointment was before them ,got rude when I asked several times while I had to wait ,no care or compassion for my pain at all read more

The fillings they gave me caused me extreme pain. For about a year and a half . She shaved down my fillings way too much. I had gotten at least 3 tooth infections from this and I floss regularly already. The dentist was not in my room for more than 15 minutes. Also I can't bite down all the way. Because the fillings are that bad. My back left teeth touch but I can not bite down on my front teeth and my Entire right side of my mouth. read more

By far the worst Dental office I have EVER been too. They get so far behind schedule. They don't have a person that does wisdom teeth, he only comes in once a month a random Saturday. I came in this morning for paperwork that i needed to do at my last visit they didn't tell me about. I waited 10 minutes before the front desk lady come out of the back, she saw me too standing there. This place also pushing X-rays on you every time you go in. read more

I sat for an hour and a half waiting to be seen. I watched the waiting room empty twice then got blamed for not having insurance paper work which they had gotten two previous visits. I was never asked for it, never made contact with... sat in an exam room finally for a half hour and still got nothing done. I finally left. They scheduled me for an appointment in July without my permission so, I canceled it. Got home only to find they then rescheduled an appointment for August once again without my permission. read more

Wish I could give zero stars. The people who run the downstairs building for general dentistry are literally s i c k. I had made an appointment 11 months ago now to get my wisdom teeth pulled. Six months go by and it's December 5th. I get a confirmation email letting me know that my appointment is December 5th and to confirm that i'll be at the appointment. Mind you I live 41 minutes away from this location. I drive the 41 minutes for a not even a 30 second conversation. I walk in and the 3 ladies sitting at the desk look very confused. They tell me that the oral surgeon has my x-rays and all I have to do is wait for a phone call in January to get my wisdom teeth removed. Because I was so unsure I kept asking well are you sure? The scheduling manager looked me in my eyes and told me that this is her job and I would for sure be getting my wisdom teeth removed January and all I have to do is wait for the phone call. The month of January starts, weeks go by and I still have yet to receive a call. so ended up calling January 18th and spoke to the same exact lady that I spoke to the first time I made my appointment. She then tells me that the oral surgeon no longer works there anymore and that I should get a call within 24 to 48 hours to speak to the manager who runs the downstairs building. 4 days go by and I still have yet to hear from them, so I end up calling them again myself and ended up speaking to the same lady that told me the manger would give me a called within 24 to 48 hours. she then tells me again I will have to wait for the manager to give me a call, even though I have waited the promised 24 to 48 hours and have now waited 11 months to get my wisdom teeth removed and even after being said when i went in december 5th that I would forsure be getting my wisdom teeth removed in January. Today I receive a call from the same desk lady (i believe her name is Addie or Abbie) she tells me that the manager has spoke to the oral surgeon team and that they will be scheduling all oral surgery appointments in March. I then try to explain to addie or abby over the phone that this is wrong! I have now waited at 11 months to get my wisdom teeth removed and I've basically been lied to multiple times telling me I will get a call from the manager and I never do. At the end of the phone call I had today with say Addie or Abbie tells me that I should again receive a call from the manager even though every time I have called this location that is what she tells me. And that she "does not have time to argue with me". she has "other people to help and she has to go". and hangs up on me. I was then just speechless and just felt completely defeated. This place is unprofessional and it's just wrong there's no reason why i'm having to wait close to a year to get my wisdom teeth removed. I have had braces with this company in the upstairs building back in 2018 and I had my braces for 6 years and I never had to deal with this. I am in so much pain and have had to deal with it for this long all because these people can't do their jobs. I'm only 23 years old and this is my first time dealing with anything like this. i'm sure anybody would be upset if they were in my shoes. If you were trying to schedule an appointment for any type of general dentistry/oral surgery I would not recommend this place. I wouldn't recommend this place on my worst enemy. You'll be lied to again and again. They'll just cause you more pain and literally waste your time. read more

Worst dentist office EVER . Four visits, 4 excuses why they can't do my boyfriends teeth! First it was because he didn't have all the money, which I can kind of understand but I can't because they said if he signed a paper saying that if he didn't pay by the time they were all in they could send them to collections... That was a lie then the dentist hurt his back on Saturday at work... That was questionable then after that two more times he went in and there was a reason why they couldn't pull his teeth. They also tried to give him crap about his teeth that he did pay for but they couldn't give them to him; apparently after he threw enough words around then they finally told him here's your teeth you can go get your other teeth polled somewhere else... It's just one thing after with this dentist office. Just find a real dentist and a real dentist office where they do not take everybody who has Medicare and Medicaid and it's on drugs because they will take those people before they take anybody else, at least that's what it seems like. I wish I didn't even have to give them ons star.... oh yeah there were roaches crawling on the floor too. Ew! read more

I was in my 40s when I had to have all my teeth pulled because of a lot of radiation that I had done to my neck because of cancer. I was in college in my 40s and had student loan money left over that I had saved so my last set of dentures that I got over 8 years ago was at Aspen Dental and they were perfect the first time around. Well, now I need new dentures but I am on Medicaid now and 64 yrs old. (I went to college in my 40s and early 50s and earned a BA, MA, and MS, so I am not some stupid uneducated person that most people associate with someone on Medicaid). Anyway, I went to Dental Express on South Avenue in August (2017) because I wanted the dentures made before winter came. With each visit, I saw the progress of the dentures, and told Dr. DeMatteo that they did not fit right...the teeth were too big, the gums were too thick and too big...they were just way off. He kept trying to fix them, and then decided that another pair had to be made, so we started all over again. Once again, in week four, I went in and they used the same size teeth and even Dr. DeMatteo admitted that they were way off and another dentist was called in from down the hall and she said the same thing and said that another pair should be made. I told her that this was the second pair already! They told me that I would have to go out to their main office in Canfield and that they would contact me with an appointment. Two weeks later they tell me that they can't help me! Isn't that their job to make dentures??? Why can't you make a decent pair of dentures? Do you only use ONE SIZE OF TEETH??? I tried calling Refresh Dental and they were supposed to get back to me when Dental Express refunded Medicaid, but I keep calling them and they won't return my calls!! What am I supposed to do now??? In all the years of wearing dentures (19 yrs), this is the FIRST TIME that I have ever had this problem!! If you can't make a set of dentures that fit, then maybe you are in the wrong business!! I will be reporting this,believe me!! If I had to rate this business, according to the treatment that I got,including from Refresh Dental, I would give them a 0! read more

Awful service; we have been here 5 times for a tooth exposure, clearly they are milking the insurance but now that we are in it we can't go anywhere else. Awful staff; rude, loud, and gossip at the desk. Awful time management; overbook to the point you will wait 90 minutes to get in even though they demand you be there 15 minutes early. read more

At my last appointment 6 months ago I scheduled an appointment for today for an exam and cleaning. I arrived and checked in for the 9:20 appointment at 9:00. At 10:25 I asked the receptionist how much longer it would be or if I should make another appointment for another day. Many people had come in after me and had their appointments and had left. I was told that there was only one more person before me. I waited another 30 minutes then made an appointment for another day. This was the second time this happened to me. Unless there is someone with an extreme emergency this 90+ minute wait is unacceptable. I have no complaints regarding the care provided by the dentists or staff but something needs to be done to manage scheduling of appointments. Patients time is valuable too. read more

One of the worst places Ever! The woman who answers the phone is rude, nasty and in a big rush to get off the phone like she has a date. The doctor yelled at me TWICE and that is very unprofessional! Worst place, I took my Daughter to get her wisdom teeth out they never told me I needed to pay a $730 co-pay up front after my insurance from work so I had to open a care credit card account or cancel & then they write a script wrong & don't call the pharmacy back, its like one of those assembly line under anistecia in out the door before you wake up express place alright. I will not take my 2nd Daughter there if she needs hers out. The wait time was ridiculos appointment scheduled at 10:00 & she went back for surgery @12:00! I mean it was definitely for people with Obomacare/ medicare, care source or medicaid, not employers insurance. read more

My son is 10 years old. They would not allow my husband to go into the room with our son. They claim they don't have room for a parent to be in the room with the child. That is a lie! There is room. I have been in the several times before. Our son is a minor and we have every right to be in the room with him. This is not the only problem I have had here. The dentist got smart with me on more then one occasion. I will never go back to this office. I urge no one to make this their dentist for any child! This is the most unprofessional dentist office I've ever been too! The lady on the phone seems like I always talk to the same person & she always getting smart not patient at all and seems to not want to do her job. She called me to confirm my appointment for the next day because I didn't confirm my appointment through text or call them back. And when I scheduled the appointment I let her know I could only do Wednesdays cause that's my day off. And she scheduled whenever she wanted. So when she called and I told her that she put me on hold to reschedule my appointment only for a teeth cleaning for 3 weeks on yet another day that wasn't my off day. And when I told her I could only do Wednesday she responded "then you just gone have to call back and reschedule because honestly I'm too busy and don't have the time to do it and plus we wouldn't have anything available until March ." Long story short don't even bother going here cause that don't care about you or clearly their job either. read more

First of all very grateful they take caresource ins for very very very few dentists do. Second my 2 experiences have been great. Got tooth pulled and I knew it was going to be difficult because of such long roots I have but the Dr and his assistant did an excellent job. Took about 45 min to pull it. Hardly any pain. Very professional, courteous and knowledgeable staff. Please keep up the great work! read more

The head Dentist is a professional very knowledgeable Dr. as well as many of his assistants. The problem is with the support and office help, particularly "Sharon" in billing who is totally incompetent and needs retraining and refuses to follow protocol. Its impossible to get anyone to return a call no matter how often you try. I recommend avoiding this practice in favor of a more organized facility! read more

The doctor was nice, however, the staff is very rude. It seems as though they want you in and out as quickly as possible, regardless of how much pain you are in or what difficulties your having. They don't return phone messages either. Overall, I would say this was the worst dental care I have received. I would recommend going to another place where you are not just a number and where there is compassion. read more
