I have been glasses shopping here for about a year and, after ordering a variety of frames into the store, I found ones that I love. They happen to be very expensive. I went in today after a math exam to reward myself with a payment on the glasses. I was so bummed out by the way I was treated. The person I worked with had an eye-rolling attitude toward me and she all but slammed my glasses on the counter multiple times, bent the stems all crazy and, put her fingers all over the lenses so that they were absolutely grubby and disgusting when I left. How about we show this precious, beautiful object some respect? And honor my business while we are at it. The other people I've worked with have been fabulous. I would advise anyone thinking of buying glasses here to know that they are more expensive (lenses especially) than other places. And make sure you find someone you like to work with and then know when they're in the store so you don't have to reinvent the wheel each visit. read more

Dr. Bailey is great!! He is so nice and can handle delicate situations carefully (e.g. - the first time I met him my eyes had basically exploded because my mother had just passed and all the tears at some point created two very unhappy eyeballs). He is nice, funny, and most importantly very good at his job. He quickly figured out the issue and got me the care I needed and also clarified for me why my glasses I had never seemed to feel right when I wore them - the previous eye care center I'd been to actually calculated my glasses prescription wrong and put my contact prescription in my frames instead!!! So many questions finally answered ha. He is very sweet with toddlers and has all kinds of toys and short videos to keep them as interested as possible during their eye care appointments. My husband also says he's the best optometrist he's seen, so it's a 5 star review all around! The frames here are expensive but it's one of those you get what you pay for situations. Very high quality adult and kids frames. And stylish sunnies too! I also ordered my contacts here at the standard rate. Very high quality service overall. It feels like a luxury experience to go here! Oh, I almost forgot the best part! Those of you with kids will appreciate that they have a kids play area which is the bomb diggity. Precision Eye Group - Glasses for days - Optometrists Near Me - Bloomington, Indiana

Dr. Bailey is the reason that I kept coming here for eye care needs. I always found him professional, engaging, and thoroughly competent. Optician staff with whom I met were also friendly and efficient. Why one star and not five, then? The lab PEG uses is a joke. I wear vintage frames (regular glasses, sunglasses, reading glasses) that I buy online, so they are pretty much one-of-a-kind items. I also prefer glass to plastic, so I realize that my lens crafting requirements are out of the ordinary, but they aren't so demanding that a moderately competent lab shouldn't be able to handle them. So far this lab has lost one pair of my frames, broken another, omitted a lens treatment I had paid for, and simply gotten the prescription wrong at least three times. When I was informed recently that the a lens correction would take two weeks longer than promised because the lab got something else wrong, I asked the staff member, "Is this lab like an actual business, or is it just some old guy in his garage who does this as a hobby?" The staff member laughed and assured me (not making this up), "Oh, sometimes they get things right!" (I suggested that she propose that as a business slogan for them: "Don't worry--Sometimes we get things right!") I will probably continue to go to PEG as long as Dr. Bailey is there, but I will exit with a copy of my prescriptions in my pocket, in search of a lab that knows what it is doing. Or at least an old guy with a better equipped garage. read more

this isn't against the lndividuals, but the company didn't do much to correct a bad situation in my case. I DO have a strong prescription and the weight factor is crucial. I selected frames and lens options at the store. received a phone call strongly urging me to get impact resistant lenses. I mentioned weight factor since new feature would change lens material and weight. was told had initial trial and if they didn't work, we'd send back. glasses came in about 3 weeks, tried them on. they would't stay on my nose correctly, even holding them up I couldn't read anything. My old, scratched-up glasses still gave better vision. decided to use my old prescription and smaller frame. it has been 11 weeks and I still don't have my $700 glasses. they won't refund, nor discount me a better lens material. backorder, or not, I think company should help me. read more

This place is great!! We've been going to Precision and Dr. Deckard for a few years now, and we've been VERY satisfied with our level of eye care. The whole team is very thorough, caring, and extremely patient. I've never felt rushed through an exam. I recently had a serious problem with one eye. While making a delivery, the staff here noticed the problem & offered to work me in that day. Dr. Brandy Deckard took her time with me & was very thorough. I did not feel rushed at all. In fact, she was concerned enough to have me come back the next day & check me again after putting me on a prescription eye drop. Again she took her time during that second visit & answered every question I posed. She & the entire staff are incredibly friendly & have gone way beyond the call of duty in working with me. Never knew this kind of place existed. The last several years I just went where it was cheapest. Not anymore. I might add that first day I also made deliveries to other eye doctors. Only 1 other mentioned anything just in passing. The rest said nothing. It was hard to miss given the condition of my eye that day. A big reason why I let Dr. Deckard handle this. I wasn't even a regular patient. Never used this place before. My experience has been nothing short of being treated like royalty. May sound corny, but it's true. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good quality eye care. read more

Dr. Bailey was absolutely wonderful. He was smart, efficient, and informative. Most doctors tend to do all of the dealings and let you know the court one. But dr Bailey includes you in his process. He describes everything he is looking for through the appointment. I left feeling so informed about my eyes. He's also very friendly and personal me. He has a good air about you and honestly cares when he asks if you have any more questions. He is also very fast and efficient at what he does. Which is great! Then you don't have to spend what feels like a million hours in the room waiting for the doctor to figure out what to do with you. I will say I almost gave this place 4 stars instead though. Only because though dr Bailey is worth all 5 stars. The rest of the staff is a little sluggish and seem a little scattered for what they do. When I walked in I didn't know whom to speak with and no one greeted me, so I approached the woman at the counter and she had me wait for being busy. Not a turn off entirely but a little off putting. Then the nurse was all business. Which is good to get it done, and frankly I don't need a life story to be shared from either of us. But a little casual involvement would be nice. My lady treated me like another school project instead of a client. Regardless this place is absolutely worth going to. Dr Bailey is a gem! I can say that this is the best experience I have ever had with any type of doctor. I have seen Dr. Deckard at Dr. Howard & Associates for a few years and they have always been wonderful but I went yesterday and finally realized I needed to share with everyone. They are quick and very friendly. Dr. Deckard is very present and willing to discuss any and all issues. Also several times in the past they have bent over backwards to fit me in or get me contacts quickly. Often there is a bit of a wait for an appointment (a few weeks) but it is worth it. I actually enjoyed a doctor's appointment. The staff were all helpful, cheery, and had good senses of humor. Well, they laughed at all my jokes, anyway. I'm vain enough to qualify that as a good sense of humor. They were also remarkably efficient, and willing to be flexible with scheduling my appointment. The tests were pretty cutting edge. The shop well organized, and had a pleasant ambiance, with decent coffee, music, and magazines in the waiting room. The doctor herself was equally efficient, but also thorough. Her demeanor was professional and pleasant. It's appropriate that her field be vision, as she is one. That's probably irrelevant, but it needed to be said. I can empathize with reviewer Kali M,'s experience; apparently their computer system has been a bit fritzy as of late. If you're willing to roll the dice on having the mild inconveniences she described, you won't find a better optometry experience. read more

I saw Dr Deckard for a regular annual eye exam. It was my first time at a new eye doctor and Dr Deckard as well as the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The facility was very clean and the staff was very professional and knowledgeable and they worked to get me an appointment as soon as possible. They were able to get me in within a week of me calling and when I got there, I was not waiting long before someone was able to see me. I would definitely recommend that anyone looking for a new eye doctor check out Dr Howard & Associates. read more

Having worn glasses for over 30 years now, I have seen my fair share of doctors. I became a patient accidentally after my insurance changed and I was scrambling to find another doctor, but it's the best thing that ever happened. Dr. Deckard is by far the best optometrist I have ever seen! She is patent and extremely thorough and does not stop until things are as close to perfect as she can get them. I've been going to this office for years, but because of my last visit, I'm finding a new optometrist. The primary problem is the receptionists that are incapable of getting any information correct. They've messed up my one bill a total of four times, over charging and under charging and once charging me for a visit when I was not even been in the state at the time. They've charged me incorrectly, then expected me to drive back into the office and fix the issue that was their mistake. They've promised to call back with information after I called asking questions, yet never got back with me. They kept trying to order the wrong contacts even after I specified multiple times the brand I wanted. I shouldn't have to treat professionals like children by asking them to recite back what I want four times in order to make sure that the correct order is placed. It's such a shame that the office has deteriorated so quickly. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, sadly. Nothing but a headache. read more
