Moved here 2 years ago and had to establish care with all new providers - quite the task. But so happy to find this office. They are all friendly, efficient and very competent. Dr. Etienne was well read and familiar with my file prior to entering my room - very refreshing! He verified some info but was able to jump right into my exam, taking time to make sure my Rx was exactly right, explaining my eye health in detail and giving me plenty of time for questions, though I didn't really have any by the end. The optician was equally efficient, having run my insurance, knew my options and clearly explained pricing - which motivated me to buy a second pair! One extra bonus, you can schedule your appointments online - love that! I got a next day appointment for my mom and one for me 2 days later - easy peasy! read more

My regular eye doctor told me she would not prescribe glasses until I had something done about cataracts. I had no idea how much of an effect cataracts had on my vision. I had both eyes done last week. Lights are brighter and I notice details I didn't before, and over all my vision is vastly improved. It was all so quick and painless. Thank you Dr. Andrew Huck for a job well done and for calling a couple times to check and see how things were going. I highly recommend the Eye Center of Southern Indiana. read more

I'm giving an extra star because the rest of the staff were pleasant and as helpful as they could be. That said, while some people have had great experiences with Dr. Etienne, I found him aggressive and rushed once he got through his "friendly doctor" spiel. I would not suggest seeing him if you have a difficult prescription, he will lose his patience quickly. read more

I followed Dr. Etienne to his new practice across town... same wonderful service, joyful doctor, and thoughtful team, plus new faces. The office location is really easy to get to (just off Tapp and 37) and parking is plentiful. The space is open and the waiting room is full of windows :D I did the eye imaging this time, where it takes a picture of your eye and it was really cool! Plus, I was given an alternative to the standard glaucoma "puff" test - win. Since I did not have time to look at frames, Dr. Etienne offered to meet me at the end of my work day to help me pick something out. I also took advantage of buying a year of contact lenses and got a free pair of Kenneth Cole sunglasses on my most recent visit. At first I was hesitant about buying a full year, but if your script changes, they will exchange them at no cost to you! My contact showed up at my house two days after the visit - super easy and I got a mail in rebate. All that aside, Dr. Etienne is just a wonderful human and you will feel better after your visit because he is such a positive light and life. Highly recommend! read more

I am so happy I found this clinic. I had my first appointment here about a month ago and a follow-up appointment last week. Dr. Muskat is my Optometrist and he is fantastic! He is an easy going guy, but focused and thorough. I also really like the assistants here, as well. They made me feel comfortable, although I had never been there before. The lady at checkout also did a lot of finagling to get me as many rebates back as possible for the year's worth of contacts I ordered. The only issue I had was for my first appointment, I had been informed it would only be an hour-long appointment, but I was there for nearly 1 hour 40 minutes even when I arrived 20 minutes early. In addition, there are limited times that Dr. Muskat is at this office, which can make scheduling appointments somewhat challenging. (Only from 8am-2pm on Tuesdays and Fridays.) Overall, however, this is a really nice, upscale clinic. The assistants and Dr. Muskat are thorough and make me feel comfortable while I am here. read more

My mom insisted I start seeing Dr. Etienne and I'm happy I did! He's friendly, knowledgeable and will answer any questions you have about your eyes. His staff is super friendly and helpful. My previous eye doctor retired, so I started seeing Dr. Keck in 2018. He noticed a small mole on the back of my eye that my previous doctor had never mentioned, and he's been monitoring it ever since. He is obviously extremely knowledgeable about eyes, and he takes the time to explain things in a way that makes sense. I really like the technology at this office too, as they have a machine that can take a picture of the back of your eye and save it to your file to compare things year over year. I also like the selection of glasses, lots of choices. read more

Dr. Etienne is Bloomington's best eye doctor, without question. He is knowledgeable, genuinely kind, and operates his business with the utmost integrity, always making it his goal to simply do what's right. He takes his time getting to know each of his patients and is always happy to explain the goings-on when it comes to the health of their eyes.
