For example my child picked out a pair of frames that just didn't work and caused blisters on the bridge of his nose. After trying to adjust them and it still it working out they OFFERED to get him new (different) frames at no additional cost. We can always pop in for a frame adjustment with no problem. When we place our order they always clearly state the breakdown of price so we understand exactly what we are paying for. They have a pretty good selection of frames and they are very helpful when choosing the frames. 10/10 recommend!

Dr. Brinegar and his staff were extremely friendly and thorough and I definitely didn't feel like they were rushing through patients but rather taking care to serve each one. Perhaps the main reason that I was so impressed with Dr. Brinegar is that he was able to give me answers for questions that no other optometrist had answered for me. I now know exactly why my eyes don't do well with contacts and why certain glasses seem to wear out faster for me. He is not only very knowledgeable, but also (unlike many other doctors) able and willing to impart that knowledge onto his patients.

My recent experience of getting an eye exam and choosing new glasses at America's Best on…read moreBloomington's west side was much better than I expected from reading the review left by a customer in October 2013. The store as a whole is very spacious and airy, with lots of natural light. I was courteously greeted when I entered the shop, and noticed that an associate hung back while watching me browse the frames. I had earlier made an appointment by phone, and had about fifteen minutes to browse before the appointment time. Once I was ready for help, the associate was right there. I appreciated being left alone to browse, but then having someone ready to help me when I needed. "Susie" helped me narrow down my choice of frames, then set aside my choices for me while I had my exam. The exam itself was very thorough and efficient. The exam facility and instruments were spotless and quite roomy compared to other optical businesses. Dr. Koerner took extra time to answer my questions about bifocal and progressive lenses, this being the first time I would need them (I'm 46). I was made to feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the process. Back with Susie after the exam, we priced out the frames I had chosen with various lens options. Susie did a fine job of explaining my options, and of trying to find ways to save me money on my glasses. She spent quite a bit of time with me, and I never felt rushed or pressured as we worked together. Susie made a point of asking about my vision insurance, and even provided me with the appropriate forms and copies of my paperwork to file. While my initial visit to America's Best was close to perfect the proof, as they say, is in the pudding. My new, progressive glasses and sunglasses will be ready within two weeks, and I plan to update this review based on my experience with the finished products at that time.
