I needed to repair my garage door so I decided to give the guy a knock. He was super helpful and took the time out to take a look at my garage on the spot. There he found that when I got my garage door openers installed, they didn't install the support beam which broke the top of my garage door causing it to malfunction. They did this for both doors! Michael, the gentleman who helped me, quoted me the replacement section of the door, 2 reinforcement bars, and labor for only $500. Not bad in my opinion considering the replacement part was hard to find and pricey. He said it would take 2 weeks for the parts to arrive, but it only took a week! They promptly came and installed the new door section and reinforcement bars all in under an hour! They were super professional and helpful. I totally recommend them to anyone in the future! 5 stars!

Frank did it, and for a very reasonable price. Can't go wrong with 'Everyday is a Project'! #Recommended Felix & Yudith

Mr. Randy always communicated with us to let us know what was going on. The only reason why I am giving them 4 stars is because of the lack of cleanliness. There were screws and cut up wires underneath the lights. I was impressed with the work and customer service however, was dissatisfied with the mess left behind. It would of only taken a few seconds to pick up the scraps. Other than that, I would recommend them.

I searched Yelp for handymen in my area, and although Jim's information returned, indicating Upper…read moreMarlboro, he's actually located in Laurel. At any rate, i'm grateful for the misinformation! I contacted Jim because I couldn't have my brand new washer and dryer installed, as I didn't have the washer drain pain installed (I have a 2nd floor laundry room), and I also needed duct work repair for the dryer vent. I explained this to Jim, he confirmed this was something he could do, and he put me on his schedule for the next morning. (yaaay!!) I just moved into my home and I had all kinds of little things I needed repaired; while he was here, he installed a new smoke/carbon monoxide detector, changed my dining room chandelier, replaced my broken doorbell, and replaced a wall plug outlet. He and his assistant were so efficient, that I decided to have them install the washer and dryer that the delivery company had already scheduled to come back to do. Understand, Jim is a handyman, not a contractor. While some handymen are SUPER handy, I don't expect them to be able to do everything an actual contractor does. Jim was able to do exactly what I needed, with an excellent response time and reasonable rates. His number is permanently saved in my phone, and I will without a doubt, refer him to others.

We hired Jim Brines upon recommendation to install a storage area underneath a set of stairs. Under…read morethe terms of our contract, Jim was to cut a hole for the door, install a door, and paint the door. Unfortunately, we had to have him come back 3 times to try to fix the door. When we hired Jim, we were lead to believe would be a simple project. However, in the end, we were left with a door for the storage area that is not cut properly, not painted as he promised, and looks shoddy. During the first installation of the door, Jim used recycled materials from his shop, rather than purchasing new materials as he promised he would. The door was badly warped, and cut unevenly. He also did not paint the door as he indicated he would both verbally and on the estimate sheet. Jim told us to give the door a week to see if it would somehow straighten itself out. When it didn't, we sent him several emails until he finally admitted he too was displeased with the quality of his work and agreed to replace the door with stronger wood that "would not warp."When he replaced the door, he was also supposed to install a special magnet to keep the door closed. He ended up forgetting it and promised he would send it in the mail for my husband to install. After several more emails, we got our magnet. The door began warping again so badly that we could not even open it. (and no it was not in a damp area like a basement). Jim said he would come remove the door and replace it. It took several emails to him to commit to a date. When he took the door we were left with a big gaping hole under our stairs and he said it would only take a week. I had to send countless emails and place calls to find out the status of our project, and each time I was either met with a rude response or given a different excuse, which all conflicted with each other and made no sense. When he FINALLY came to reinstall the door, he simply had brought back the original door he had removed a month ago!!! And when we asked him point blank about it, he told us that we could take it up with small claims court since he already had out money. Given his rudeness, inability to complete a project as promised, inability to meet deadline, and the end result of our product, I would never use him and would advise others not to as well.
