I had my Sig P226 TacOps worked on ( new sights) while purchasing a new Springfield Armory SA35 I had ordered. These guys are top notch. Tony Jimenez

The MRC had a Trijicon Accupoint 2.5-10x56 mounted on Leupold one-piece bases/rings when dropped off. I picked up both rifles on 21 February 2025, the price seemed fair and the suppressors lined up on both rifles bores with no apparent misalignment. Upon returning home I noticed the bases/rings on the MRC were installed improperly (front base on the back and back base on the front of the receiver) with the optic on clearly canted backwards with the rings tightened down. I immediately returned to give the gunsmith a chance to make it right, all he had to offer was "when you do this long enough you're going to make a mistake". He removed the optic and rings in front of me and as soon as I saw the scope was undamaged I told him to leave them off, I would install them myself. Fortunately he doesn't use a torque wrench on fasteners or the scope tube would have likely been damaged from the misalignment. I wasn't happy about the situation but no damage was done so I left without further words. I returned home once again and started to examine both rifles thoroughly. Upon test firing the Marlin I found that the magazine would not align to feed a round and the release tab was loose. After removing the action from the stock I found a retaining screw loose and mostly unscrewed. On the MRC I found the ejector to not be functioning properly due to a trigger pin being installed too far and binding against it and crack in the fiberglass stock that wasn't present when I dropped the rifle off. I went to test fire the rifle and found that the firing pin now impacted the primer off center and lighter than before resulting in inconsistent ignition of the cartridge. I'm not sure how he managed to screw this up from threading the barrel, but now I have to find a gunsmith that takes pride in their work so I can pay more money to have a functioning rifle. When removing the suppressor the muzzle device came off with it in my hands, no tools used. I further found the thread spacer to be installed upside down resulting in improper clocking of the device when installed correctly. This is an issue since the original packaging of the muzzle device that contained the clocking shims and Rocksett was not returned so at this point I have no way of correcting this issue without purchasing more Rocksett and Accuwashers. I am extremely displeased with the quality of work provided by Granville Gun Works/ Creedmoor Rifle Works. Both rifles were in worse condition upon return than when they had been provided to the shop. I have purchased several firearms from this shop without issue, but following this experience I will not be returning for any reason. Further I will share my experience with everyone who will listen to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone I know.
