Attended a Mother's Day Event at the range. What a wonderful surprise to walk in to charcuterie, flowers, ice cream along with the opportunity to try different firearms. I come to Caiptol at least once a month for target practice. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Bathrooms are clean. Parking is plentiful. They offer affordable private lessons, have an experienced range master ready, willing and able to assist, provide instruction and correct you when they see an issue. Visited the other day to try and find some magazines, and the place felt cold, not a welcoming environment at all. The lighting is very dark in here. I had high hopes for this range being so close to home. Now I will drive a few extra minutes to Wake Forest. read more

I purchased a Trijicon RMR in store and, during the same visit on November 19, dropped off my Glock 48 for slide milling. I was quoted an approximate two week turnaround. At the two week mark I called for a status update on a Saturday and was told no update was available and to call back when the gunsmith was present during a weekday. I called again the following week during regular business hours and was informed the gunsmith was still unavailable. No status was provided and I was told I would be contacted when the work was complete. After zero communication or updates from them, I visited the store on December 19, one month after drop off. The manager stated the gunsmith was reportedly sick prior and they were backed up. He also stated there were no notes in the system, no visibility into the work queue, no confirmation of the firearm's location or status, and no estimated completion date. The only guidance provided was that I would be called when the work was done. It could be 2 days it could be another month. I will not conduct further business with Capital Range and Firearms and at this point hope they ultimately complete the work or locate my Glock. Delays happen, but it is completely unacceptable to have no visibility into the status of gunsmithing work and no revised timeline to provide to customers. Drew Davis read more

My experience was wonderful. I signed up for a private lesson with Paige. She texted me to confirm on the day of the appointment. I told her I was both nervous and excited. She promised she would make it a positive experience for me and she sure did! Paige is an excellent instructor. She is extremely knowledgeable, kind and knows how to connect with her student. It was the best $100 that I ever spent! Such a good experience that I signed up for a second lesson. Highly recomend! read more

Great range, friendly, helpful staff & RSOs. Range was not too busy and the digital targets make getting started very easy. Gun shop/armory has a phenomenal selection of all things related to shooting & firearms. Have not done extensive research, but the one item I purchased was reasonably priced. Honestly I'd recommend this business more if it didn't mean potentially attracting more people. read more

I love this shooting range. Everyone I have come in contact with is friendly and helpful beyond even what is necessary. I have taken a class there and have used the range several times. The staff is knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable asking for help and suggestions. They will even give you tips as you are shooting to improve your performance. I'm looking forward to bringing my family there the next time they are in town. read more

Have been here several times since the grand opening in hopes that the staff would get their acts together. I am disappointed for the last time, I will no longer be returning and will try my best to spread awareness of this establishment. Half of the staff is nice which is why I would return, I falsely believed that perhaps the rest of the staff was having a "bad day" but enough is enough. The prices are low, so are their standards. Great that they have classes for kids but perhaps they should give classes to their staff for sensitivity training. One young guy in particular is possibly one of the most arrogant, condescending, and hostile individuals I have ever come across. He not only made me feel unsafe but made my whole entire family feel uncomfortable every single visit. Staff needs to learn what is appropriate to say to people, especially in a field as serious as guns. I wish I could be reimbursed money wasted at this establishment. Do better. read more

I contacted events manager Renea about three weeks ago via email. She was very responsive. We had an opportunity to speak via telephone several times since my initial contact. Renea was patient and kind. She answered all my questions and did not try to upsell me by encouraging me to purchase a membership. I took my husband to the Youngsville Gun Club Range on Father's Day weekend. We were met with friendly front desk staff when we entered the club. The staff took their time and ensured my husband could try the guns he was most interested in. The staff was very knowledgeable. They demonstrated exemplary teamwork. We want to thank Arthur, who did an amazing job helping my husband find a gun that he is very happy with. If Arthur did not know the answer to one of our questions, he quickly enlisted help from a colleague who could provide clarity. I would highly recommend this club. While all the staff is AMAZING, I highly recommend working with Authur to experience exemplary customer service. The only downside is that he only works weekends. Deen and Baron were also very helpful. You will be in good hands with any of the staff. I recommend visiting this gun range if you want to shoot or learn how. read more
