They support both pistol and rifle shooting, one 50 & 100 yd/m range with cement benches and another range with heavy tables for 100, 200 and 300 yards. Their web site shows what they offer. The only thing I don't like about it is the distance from my home, about an hour drive each way. The club continuously improves the facility, adding ranges and improving things.

I come to Caiptol at least once a month for target practice. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Bathrooms are clean. Parking is plentiful. They offer affordable private lessons, have an experienced range master ready, willing and able to assist, provide instruction and correct you when they see an issue. Love the dedication and assistance from every employee I have encountered to date.

I purchased a Trijicon RMR in store and, during the same visit on November 19, dropped off my Glock…read more48 for slide milling. I was quoted an approximate two week turnaround. At the two week mark I called for a status update on a Saturday and was told no update was available and to call back when the gunsmith was present during a weekday. I called again the following week during regular business hours and was informed the gunsmith was still unavailable. No status was provided and I was told I would be contacted when the work was complete. After zero communication or updates from them, I visited the store on December 19, one month after drop off. The manager stated the gunsmith was reportedly sick prior and they were backed up. He also stated there were no notes in the system, no visibility into the work queue, no confirmation of the firearm's location or status, and no estimated completion date. The only guidance provided was that I would be called when the work was done. It could be 2 days it could be another month. I will not conduct further business with Capital Range and Firearms and at this point hope they ultimately complete the work or locate my Glock. Delays happen, but it is completely unacceptable to have no visibility into the status of gunsmithing work and no revised timeline to provide to customers. Drew Davis

There is a core membership that runs things and it is a very closed community. Overall I have found my fellow members to be hard to approach, especially if you want to talk about anything not related to guns. I hoped to find a group of interesting people who share an interest in shooting. I did not.

I have taken more then a few and they were all worth the money. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner, you won't feel out of place. No BS, just professionalism and you can learn some great skills. Everybody is really nice and helpful. The range itself is one of the nicest public ranges I have seen. It is constantly being upgraded and maintained. After a while a membership just makes sense and then you can shoot during the week privately; no crowds. During the week, I can usually get in and out in an hour and it's not busy. There are other benefits and discounts with a membership. Veterans and Active Duty get a big discount. Security and Safety are very good here. It is a great place to learn your little ones just starting out or to sight in your optice before hunting. They have a 100 yard static rifle range, Static pistol range, steel targets, training, tactical bays to practice your drills, and a shoot house make this a great place and worth the trip.
