I went there to practice for the first time in. a while. When everyone was done shooting I went to put up my target. The owner comes out and says don't be wandering around out there. I said everyone was done and I had to put up my target. No one was shooting.So the last time I visited, the targets say don't move them, but I had asked permission and the guy working said go ahead you can move it, because I wanted a different yardage. So the owner comes running out and says, I don't want these moved and points at the sign as if I can't read English. I told him what they said before, but I think he thought I was making it up. So he says if you want to move it down I will do it for you. When I was ready and asked him and he just said no, move to one of the other targets ,Which I did, moving all my gear. Then this guy come running out and tells me to move my feet. I have shot in league competitions and we always stood behind the line. I thought that was what he said so I moved back a little. Then the owner comes running out and says he told you to straddle the line. I was very exasperated this time, so I told him the last time I was there Someone started shooting while I was down at my target and no one said a word. So he yells out everyone stop goes downrange, takes my arrow out and takes them to the shop. So I go put there and he is leaning against the door taking on his cell phone. So I deliberately put my arrow in my quiver and in my case, I said every time I come here there is some issue. I took out my wallet and said I want to pay for my time and he says just leave. I said I want to pay and he says I don't care what you want. And this is after the last time I had them install a d loop and he told me I needed new strings for two hundred dollars which it turns out was erroneous. I didn't need new strings. So I told him he was really rude. And he just acted threatening. Do yourself a favor and go some where else where people value you business. read more

We took our granddaughter here because she really enjoyed archery at summer camp. The staff were wonderful. They had the appropriate bow and arrow for a 9 year old to use. There were a good many people there but we were taken in right away and provided individual training (refresher). They had benches for us to sit in and watch. We enjoyed this very much and will definitely go again. read more

I am disappointed that I did not have the experience I was expecting with this company. The gentleman at the register seemed disconnected and short tempered. I only peeked in to ask a couple of questions about the type of services the business provided and was met with snipe, one-word responses. The gentleman never looked up to make eye contact, was rather rude, and seemed dis-interested in my enthusiasm for archery. I was so dissatisfied with the service that I neglected to mention that I own a fishing academy, on the outer banks, and I am in town to search for potential activities my students can do while we are here over the next couple of weeks (keep in mind, I have over 500 students in this academy! 400 of them are here with me this week). Needless to say, I shall not patronize this business nor shall I recommend it. Let this act as a lesson for those reading, you never know who will walk in your shop; treat every customer with the same dignity you wish to be treated with and do not assume anything about anyone or what he/she is capable of. My daughter had her first of what I am sure will be many archery classes. The introduction class was a lot of fun and informative. Participants were fitted with gear and taught safety and technique. By the end of the class, everyone was able to shot arrows with success. Definitely would recommend for youth and adults. May come back for a fun date night. read more

If you're in the Raleigh area and want to get into archery, this is the place to do it. I am brand new to archery and had not shot prior to visiting the shop. I brought a bow into the shop that I bought online hoping to have it setup (turns out the bow was too small for me). John, the shop owner, knew immediately by looking at my height it was too small but was willing to set it up for me either way. Trusting John's expertise, he got me into a properly sized bow (a Bear Adapt) which was very affordable and a great value given it comes RTH. After sizing and getting the bow dialed in to fit my frame, John took me out onto the indoor range to get the bow sighted in with the arrows he assembled for my new bow. Archery can get confusing as a beginner (knowing what draw weight is right for you, what draw length you need, what spine weight, tip grain, etc.) John helped me get all of those things dialed in so I was super comfortable shooting my new setup!! I will be going back exclusively to this shop for anything archery related. read more

I visited FFA today for the first time since John and Lesley bought the shop/range and was nothing but impressed! I thought I knew what I wanted / needed but thanks to an open mind and John's expert opinion I elected to have him install a QAD drop away rest and a Dead Center 10"/8" front/rear stabilizer on my bow. He also adjusted my 4-pin sight and now I am shooting 1-2" groups at 30 yds. Super excited to take my next hunting trip! Thanks, John, for your patience! I just installed a new arrow rest and needed to sight it in before my last few hunts of the season. I normally use outside space behind my shop to practice, but a couple days worth of rain was falling from the sky. I, fortunately, found this them via Google search. This place pretty much has everything one would need for their bow! I wish I had known about them before purchasing items from a corporate hunting store. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and more than accommodating. The other shooters were friendly and often seen helping each other out. Stopped in today for the first time. I needed help getting a new bow set up. I haven't shot in years and felt totally over my head. John was fantastic. He walked me through everything, took time to fit the bow perfectly, and did a fantastic job walking me through all of the components I needed. The shop was actually closed for a tournament, but he made time for me anyway. I loved seeing all of the kids in there shooting. Awesome to see young people starting out in a great sport.
