I recently took two granddaughters in to purchase new tennis rackets. Jim took time to take the needed measurements and discuss their game with them and what they wanted to improve on. He was very knowledgeable on what he had in stock and began pulling rackets down that would work for them. He also told them the pros and cons of the rackets and why one might be better than another. Jim is pretty helpful and friendly but is partial to repeat customers, and can be a bit gruff if you're a more casual player and won't spend a lot over time. They let you demo racquets before purchase for $30, and the fee goes towards your purchase. read more

I am thrilled to have found this place. It is a little out of the way for us, but it they go the extra mile for us once we get there. Went absolutely above and beyond when I was getting a racket for my daughter as a present. They stayed open after closing time for us, and the owner offered to get the racket strung in time for Christmas. The person I ask about some questions about tension seemed to be annoyed by that. I decided to have my racquet restrung a little less than originally using the same strings. The result is that the tension is a lot higher to a point that I can't play with the racquet. A waste of my money and time. read more

Tim knows pretty much all there is to know about the latest tennis gear. He is great at matching your game with the right equipment. If they don't have what you need they will get it fast. The only great place to go in Raleigh for tennis stuff. read more

This is a great tennis store. They have a great selection of rackets. I used the $30 demo fee to try lots of rackets. Their policy is two at a time but they let me take 3 and even 4 rackets at a time. I demo'd 10 rackets in all. The 30$ went toward the cost of the racket. I got good advice as well on tension, grip size and strings. I also picket up a racket for my young girls, over-grips and a few other accessories. I really appreciate having a store dedicated to tennis. Buying online doesn't make sense, IMO you really need to try a racket or many racket before purchasing. read more

I have never written a review before. The worst customer service I have ever experienced by the more senior man. Will never shop there again. Tried to find shoes and he argued that my foot was not wide. I have been to podiatrists who could set him straight, plus I have a bunion. He would not let me try on shoes I asked to see. Guess it's a family run business so they allow him to continue. If you choose to go there, ask to work with someone else. read more
