It was still under warranty from Discount Tire, but the ONLY Discount Tires near me are in PA or NJ. Sob. I called, and they told me to order one from Tire Rack and they would reimburse me. I did not want a giant heavy tire delivery. My mother, my daughter, my son, and my cousin are all coming to visit soon. I cannot risk blowing a tire. Aieeeee. So I went to Yelp and read reviews, and ended up at Zima. I didn't have an appointment, and the place was very busy. So I got my book and read while I waited. The owner, a very nice man, told me to walk with him and he checked my tires. He remarked that I must not drive a lot. I said mostly to Riverhead, and in CO everything was within 10 minutes. He checked to see if he had a slightly used tire in stock. He did not, so had to order one. It's $305 for a new tire, including mounting. He's going to rotate the tires for $20. I didn't ask if he does price matching. I might have gotten a better price somewhere else, but I need this done. He said that he'll call me when the tire comes in, probably today. But I have to donate blood in Flanders, and he closes at 3 on Saturdays. So maybe Monday. I asked about an oil change, but they only do tires.

I was told my brakes and tires needed replacing, and as I commute long distances I wanted to make sure my vehicle was well equipped to handle winter conditions on the LIE. After my inspection was finished, I was quoted $1,079 for the brake replacement, new tires and the inspection, but when I went to pick up my car, I was charged in two installments (as the repairs took place on separate days) and the total was nearly $1,400--almost $320 more than what I was told the total would come out to be. To make matters worse, they removed my front license plate covers and replaced them with their own advertising covers without asking for my permission. Not only was I upset by the unauthorized advertising on my vehicle, but they also put my front license plate on upside down. (See attached photo for proof.) The final straw was hearing my brakes grinding after they had supposedly replaced them. This was incredibly disappointing and left me feeling taken advantage of. I had hoped to find a trustworthy auto shop for future service needs close to work, but instead, I feel like this place took advantage of my situation as a young woman needing an inspection. I won't be returning, and I strongly recommend you get a second opinion before trusting this business with your vehicle.

He said that I will have to go to Land Rover for the clips, and he would install them. He very kindly put some more tape on the trim, and didn't charge me for it. I will get the clips, and return. I also need his help with another issue, and I feel very confident that he'll do a great job at a fair price. I am delighted to have found a good mechanic!! I have a wonderful mechanic in Colorado, and wasn't sure if I could find one of his caliber in NY. I'm happy to say that I believe that I have!

I opted for the full service interior and exterior wash but skipped the tire shine (it was only a few bucks extra but ehh). As they vacuumed out the interior, I watched the attendant take out everything from my trunk which I totally didn't expect him to do, bang off each beach chair and vacuum all the sand out of my car, every last grain. I ran over and gave this guy a nice tip because to me that was above and beyond - no one looks in my trunk except me, this was totally unnecessary but very nice. My car came out looking spotless, and I felt so much less embarrassed than I had when I drove into Strebel's (though still a little embarrassed to have my non-fancy car from the 90's washed alongside Teslas and Jaguars).

Go here with extreme caution, we had 2 consecutive repairs and both had a negative impact on us…read more(the client/customer). First, Rubio was selected by our insurance to fix a small dent/scratch on back left which turned into a repair cost of 5X of original quote and a spike in our insurance (not to mention it took 7-8 weeks!). While that was wrapping up, we had our second vehicle in for repairs to be covered under warranty and after 3-4 weeks of lies and being without the vehicle again, we lost our chance at getting the repairs. Travis had told us repeatedly (verbal, text & email) that he had submitted 3 claims for repairs. He never did, these were all lies! Turns out he did nothing. The overall communication and lack of execution was very poor! We were extremely disappointed and do not recommend Rubio/Travis to any of our friends and family in the area.

I have had the unfortunate experience of purchasing a vehicle from Rob and his team at Rubio Premier Motors. I purchased a Mercedes E500 from them which Doug and Rob described as in great condition without any problems. Beyond that, the provided a certification on the bill of sale that the vehicle was "is in condition and repair to render under normal use, satisfactory and adequate service upon the public highway at the time of delivery. Rob and his team also claim to be specialized in repairs of Mercedes." The vehicle showed up with: - active fuel leak - damaged catalytic converter - broken front struts - valve cover leak - damaged rear brake rotors - 12 year old tires - fraying drive belt and aging tensioner - cracked front CV boots on both sides At the time the vehicle was sold to me, it was mechanically totaled. I've had 4 different shops perform diagnosis including a Mercedes Benz dealership and two independent Mercedes shops as I've had to sort out the mess that Rob and his team dumped on myself and my family. Again, Rob claims that his shop is specialized in repairs of Mercedes and is "Trusted and respected within our community for our knowledge and integrity. Our philosophy is to care about you, your family and the cars you drive." There are a lot of better ways to make money than to fraudulently scam customers with totaled cars, but Rob and his team have decided that's the way to run their operation. I recommend avoiding them at all costs. If this review is up, there will be an active used lemon law claim and lawsuit against them to cover the repairs.
